  • "Guess how I voted." xD

  • there were not just references to the comics but other batman sagas as well

unstopable fore vs immovable object/The Dark Night

The Joker's utility belt/Batman the orginal series

    laghing fish/Batman the animated series

Jason Todd's death/Batman Under the Redhood

  • @RandomMantheawsome robin's death was in the comics too, thats why bat mite said "guess how i voted"

  • @RandomMantheawsome all those where comics before being adapted.

  • I'm more happy about the reference to "The Laughing Fish" always loved that story (both the original comic, and the batman tas adaptation). I wish they had referenced "The Killing Joke" though, that story was just as important as "A Death In The Family".

  • gotta love batmite =D

  • Batman: Jee, thanks for reminding me of one of the top five most painful experiences of my life. AND for letting me know that you in the fifth dimension voted in order to kill a child for your entertainment. If you'll excuse me, I'll be searching for a way to entrap you forever.

    Batmite: Uhm ... shouldn'thavementionedthatBYE!

  • Bat-Mite told the truth about the "Death in the Family" saga. I voted kill Jason Todd.

  • I'm surprised that a kid's show would not only refer to death directly, but reference one of the most important tragedies in Batman's career. And from the comics no less.

I'll bet the kids were confused by this. "Robin died? When did this happen?" D:<

Comic fans have a little chuckle. Then sigh when they realize that death got undone when Superboy Prime punched the walls of reality. Try explaining that one to kids. :|

  • @Bluecho4 I thought that continuity got retconned, and switched out for the Ra'as and the lazarus pool canon. I heard there was more than one version, but i'm not sure which is accepted. Help?

  • @CobaltBlueHawk I don't personally know what continuity they're using anymore. Especially with the line wide reboot.

And that was supposed to SIMPLIFY continuity. It just makes things even more complicated! DX

  • Deadpool + Batman + Tinkerbell = Batmite

  • kind of sad really this show was somewhat amusing.

  • Thats it? No reaction from Batman?

  • In this series Dick Grayson is the only Robin that Batman ever worked with.

  • wow, he just hinted that he was partly cause to batmans adoptive sons death, that left bruce traumatized for months, so much so that he tried to comit first degree murder on joker. bat mite is kind of a dick.

  • Damn you, Batmite! You killed Jason!

  • This show is fucking idiotic and makes the Batman look like a fucking Joke

its pathetic this show is still fucking on, it makes me sick! It really does, and when they and the Robin Mite on teen Titans I'm pretty sure that killed the show -.-

  • @Dokilante It's Silverage what do you expect.

  • @codafett I expect Cartoon network to grow a pair, take whats good not what will get profit just because they have a iconic super hero

Sorry my spelling was horrible last night =p

  • @Dokilante

CN wasn't responsible for the lighter approach to this series -_-. It was Warner Bros. I liked BTAS and Beyond (thought The Batman was "meh") but there have been three Batman shows portraying the dark side of Batman. It was about time for something different: going back to the lighter portrayal of Batman (The Silver Age comics), give attention to obscure DC heroes and villains, and to educate fans of Batman history and other superhero origins.

  • @astralbiscuit67 In my opinion "The Batman" was the best one, because they made it a plot point that Bruce is only human. BTAS and Beyond made it seem like he could ALWAYS beat EVERYONE with little to no effort. While on the subject, Beyond was one of the darkest shows i've ever seen Warners Brothers make, simply because they were 24 episodes in before they got their first "happy" ending.

  • @Dokilante Do you even know what the Silver Age is about?

  • @Dokilante I agree.... went from BTAS to... THAT.

  • @Dokilante Dude, it's Silver Age classics, not everything has to be like B:TAS. Go suck your mother's dick.

  • @omniversedefenders I rather not

Batman/Dark knight is supposed to be dark

  • @Dokilante No, it can be interperted either way.

  • @Dokilante It's not on anymore. It was cancelled, but they where clever enough to make an enire episode stirizing how stupid the show was. Also look up: Batman: The Brave and the Bold: "Chill of the Night!" It's exactly something from the writers of TAS

  • @AmericaTheHero1337 Wait...what?

  • @Dokilante The show's been cancelled. Anyway, "Chill of the Night!" was written by Paul Dini, a writer for Batman: The Animated Series. It's one of thier darkest episodes. Look it up.

  • @AmericaTheHero1337 I will...Wait its been cancelled?! THANK FUCKING GOD i hate seeing this show on fridays maybe they will replace it with something GOOD!

  • @Dokilante Yes, with a crappy CGI show like Green Lantern...

  • @AmericaTheHero1337 That hour long show or w.e wasn't that bad

I hate the art style though and that will prevent me from watching it...

I don't know I think its time for a Night wing Cartoon (Other wise know as robin/ Dick Grayson)

  • @Dokilante So, any opinions on Chill of the Night?

  • @AmericaTheHero1337 Couldn't find it =p

  • @Dokilante Warner Bros. is planning to make a new show called Beware the Batman to replace Brave and the Bold.

  • @batmenace15 Seriously? hope jason will be in that one

  • @TheGALLGALL nope instead his sidekick will be katana, alfred will be using guns, and there's no joker

    have fun :D

  • @teridax4 Alfred with guns!? LOL :D

  • ......Is that, "The Warden"?

  • EVIL EVIL EVIL MINI BATMAN!!!

  • That was not Jason Todd that was dick when Batman thought he was dead Jason Todd had his uniform ripped up and there was blood everywhere

  • @MsLunadea Yeah, I caught that too! Is there an episode where Batman thinks he's dead because that would be awesome!!!

  • @MYLEG323 no not that i know of but in the actual comics it happens alot

  • @MsLunadea Yeah they'd have a bloodied, clothes-ripped robin on a kids show

  • @Obito1600 They did show it in a movie though XD

  • 'The unstoppable force meets the immovable object!'

Batmite also references Christopher Nolan! O_o

  • I knew it. Bat mite killed Jason Todd. That asshole!

  • Can we vote to NOT have this series exist at all? Seriously, why is this series so campy and silly?

  • @Mrspikeprime Dude the series wasn't all bad.

  • @AbeVegaJr

Did I say cataclysmically bad? No, I said campy and silly--which this show is, all the time. Look, I can deal with cheesyness, but this show is just too much like the Adam West show and those really stupid silver age comics (The ones where the main character couldn't walk to the shop without it involving 3 aliens and an ape in a bat-suit) for me to personally like it.

  • @Mrspikeprime The whole point of this show is to be campy and silly like the Adam West show and the Silver Age. That's what makes it so entertaining. It isn't afraid to sacrifice seriousness for the sake of being funny and awesome.

Do you really want another dark, brooding Batman? We've seen that a thousand times! Thank God this show wasn't afraid to do something different.

  • @Jobbeybob

Look, I do like variation, really, I do. I actually liked the version they made a while back that used a completely different art style, new voice actors and changed up the character dynamics by making new ones, changing old ones and making Bruce a lot more likeable, even giving him a new best friend.

I just HAPPEN not to like this version because I didn't like the Adam West show or the Silver Age Batman--it's an opinion, and I'm not going to change it, or try to change yours.

  • @Mrspikeprime granted yes it's your sole opinion and we should learn to respect that. But that doesn't mean you should make it as if the show should never exist. There is actually a very large fanbase to this show, me included that like watching this show. Besides the series is over and a new Batman TV show is one the way.

  • @Mrspikeprime ..and yet you wished this show didn't existed, and then asked why it was so campy and silly. =___=

  • I liked it when Jason Todd died.

  • even though jason death was wrong it made him a better character in the comics.

  • 0.o...Is that the warden from super jail?

  • Comment removed

  • @jlawson97:

How about you shut the fuck up and keep your narcissistic opinion to yourself? You don't speak for me and I personally loved this how from beginning to end!!!

  • wait a minute bat mite voted for jason todd to be dead?!!? Now i hate bat mite even more!!!!! ps what episode is this please tell me i'm begging!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:06 0:08 Dark Knight references!!!

  • FANS Y U KILL JASON TODD?!?! FIUGHYTJRKEL;W'MCNBVCDGFHGJHK!!!!!!!!

  • Jason Todd oh god i i.... I'M IN A GLASS CASE IN EMOTIONS

    NOOOOOOOOOO

  • I LOVE BRAVE AND THE BOLD FOR ITS COMIC REFERENCES

  • this programme seems to just be an excuse to show loads of batman easter eggs from old comics and different adaptations, hmm i like it for that, i dont like the show too much but i like it for that, seems like a light hearted tribute.

  • Can we all just say that this series fucking sucks and kills the batman that we all have known and loved?

  • what the heck is that flying batmanthing oAo

  • @xXStrawberryxMisaXx Thats Batmite. Hes based on Mxyzptlk from the Superman comics (who was also the basis for Kazoo from The Flinstones). Hes from the 5th Dimension and is not subject to the rules of our own dimension, which is why he can warp reality. He watches Batman's adventures by bending the rules of space-time and is Batman's biggest fan in the multiverse :)

  • @LordManda2

o.o thanks for explanation! ... yea kazoo and he kinda annoying @_@

  • IDK what the fish was about

  • if bruce wayne/batman knows who is jason todd in thhe world of the brave and the bold, he would give a beating to bat mite

  • @axelroitstein just like what he was about to do to joker in arkham asylum in the movie

  • When I first saw this I kinda wondered why Batman cared so little for the Jason Todd thing.

Then I remembered that Brave and the Bold's Batman has ONLY ever known Dick Grayson. In his Universe, Jason Todd doesn't exist...... Yet.

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel You also have to take into account that the style of the characters was based on the Adam West Batman world.

  • What the hell is Bat-Mite anyway? Hes been in 1 Batman series i think in the 80s or 90s. Just who or what in the world is he!?

  • @nano69ify ...ever seen Larry(Robin-mite) from Teen Titans?...exact same thing... only more annoying since he's Batman's problem...

basically, Bat-mite, Joker-mite, Larry, and all others like them are inteties from another dimension, and gods in their own right, since they can warp reality

they can come into the storyline whenever its slow, and make a complete mess of everything

they all just LOVE coming in when they arent wanted...

just think annoying Mini-Me's of DC characters that r God-Mods

  • What episode was this from

  • tim drake should be in batman the brave and the bold because dick grayson is nightwing, and jason todd is dead, so where's tim drake in all of this?

  • @batmanfreakchannel didnt jason turn to red hood

  • @chrash2012 yeah but still they need tim drake. that's where they are in the storyline.

  • @chrash2012 yes, and now Hes headlining his own serries with Redhood and the outlaws which has him(redHood) Roy Haper(arsenal) and starfire (who had sex with jason and Roy

  • Can we vote to have Bat-Mite killed?

  • @EvilRyuGuy read Batman RIP then go rethink your life

  • @EvilRyuGuy YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT! HES SOOO ANOYING! wait, you, you, you mean,........... jasons.........

    DEAD???!!!

waaaaaaaah! hes my 2 favourite robin!

[dick grayson still the cutest from young justice]

  • Batmite, that was cryptic.

  • wow Batmite not funny at all.

  • Ohhhh. Too soon, Bat-mite. Too soon.

  • OHH COME ON BAT MITE REALLY TOO SOON FOR A DEATH IN THE FAMILY JOKE

  • what episode is this

  • 9 seconds of the video and I already found a reference.

  • What i'm wondering is why didn't Batman ask who Jason Todd was? After all its clear that Jason doesn't exist in this show so why wouldn't he ask about the body he was holding? Why didn't he even stop to wonder if it was Dick or not?

  • @Orochi2345678 Batman never asks anything unnecessary, it would be like he went into the future and asked what happened to him.

  • dc needs to grow some balls and put jason todd as robin in a future batman show. really they need to hes alive now just put him as good or evil

  • I'm surprised to see a reference to both Jason Todd and The Dark Knight ("the unstoppable force versus the immovable object").

  • @ASarneck108 You're an idiot. It is a common expression.

  • @MajBlood Well you can't disprove that it was TDK reference. I mean it's even used in the same context as when the Joker said it in TDK, after Batman saves him from falling, and he goes on about how he thinks their destined to it forever. Seems pretty similar if you ask me.

  • @ASarneck108 Nah, I don't think so. It has probably been used in the past to describe Batman and Joker's relationship too.

  • @MajBlood Could be. Though you'd think anyone working on Batman has probably seen TDK. I mean practically everyone has, considering it grossed a $1 billion. But its whatever. Its a good expression for the Joker/Batman relationship nonetheless.

  • This is genius. Bat-Mite is a legend. The whole show is basically one massive troll face to the fans who always like Batman being "dark".

  • ''Guess how i voted! ''XD

  • lol except none of those things happened to THIS batman....different realtiy lol the show and comics always take place in different realities....not to mention this show did not take place on earth one so it was another reality all together

  • stealing deadpoohs job ;/

  • i m surprised that jason appeared in the brave and the bold series, i don t know why but i m impresse. maybe we all know that jason should never die, and if i am batman i will kick the ass of bat mite

  • Dark knight reference "unmovable object v.s unstoppable force" .. :P

  • Batman is not amused..

  • This is so amazing, not only does he reference The Dark Knight, but also The Laughing Fish episode from B:TAS!!!!

  • @z3link this is actually a classic Joker storyline from somewhere in the 40s-60s. a broad timeline but it's late and i don't feel like looking it up...

  • @jamesdaltonjr It was in the 70's.

  • @jamesdaltonjr The Laughing Fish was from the 70s, actually. Steve Englehart's run. The Utility Belt story was from the 40s-60s, though.

  • Batman was thinking at the end "Bat-mite you dick!"

  • Batman wasn't in a BatGlider....he was in a stolen caravan truck.

    Just Sayin'.

  • alright I read the death in the family trade, and I gotta say Jason Todd was a douche. Bats told him If you go safter the joker he will fuck your day up...so what does he do?GOES DIRECTLY AFTER HIM. Btas is in his Bat-glider like "oh shit, fuckin kids gonna get wrecked." KABOOM. "aw hell."

  • I wonder if the yellow clock in the background was a Watchmen reference.

    AmDrag

  • LMAO Fuck you, Bat-Mite!!! XD

  • Is that mark hamill playing the voice of the mini-bat?

  • @Ben1977820 If I'm not mistaken it's Paul Rubens.

  • @Ben1977820 no, that's Pee Wee Herman. I am interested how you hear Mark Hamill though.

  • one person did not want Jason Todd dead...

  • the death in famliy one reminds me of under the red hood

  • @kitchsc The beginning is based on that also that's how Jason Todd became the Red Hood

  • ...Warden? Is that you?

  • BAT-MITE! That was uncalled for!

  • I don't know whether I hate Bat-mite or love him

  • even in the dark night they use the unmovable object line

  • that last one went far...

looking at bat mans eyes you seemed to upset him.

  • goodbye fourth wall.

  • "Oh hey, and remember when your parents died? Yeaaaaah...Good times. Good times."

  • Batmite just somehow got a million times more awesome.

  • Hey in teen titans there is a a robin like batmite who comes from another universe. I his name is dick Robinson spelt backwards! Is he from the same universe as bad mite.

  • @candy55101 Ya their probably both from the 5th dimention (ergo, not affected by the laws of our universe in any way), just like Mister Mxyzptlk.

  • Weird that this is the only place where Robin II is mentioned. I'd really like to see Tim Drake show up somewhere, too. Ah, well. I guess there's no time, what with cutting the series short and all.

  • @ReneeMontoya12 he was mentioned in Teen Titans

  • Batmite makes a refernce to The Dark Knight: " The unstopable force vs. the inmovable object."!!!!!!!

  • @FreakMr1001 I don't think that originated from The Dark Knight though, it's also in All Star Superman. It's a DC reference all the same though.

  • @FreakMr1001 i'm pretty sure that was about Hogan/Andre the Giant, although i may wrong

  • @ReeseBennett Maybe, but Joker does say that line in Dark Knight, too.

  • too soon bat-mite...to soon...

  • The Laughing Fish segment has the same theme song from the BTAS episode!!

  • When Bat-Mite says "Guess how I voted", it pleasantly creeped me out

  • Cartoon Network: Saying "FUCK YOU" to the Fourth Wall since 2000

  • Okay, how did Bat-Mite go from being an annoying pest to an even more annoying pest that now I wanna take a leaf from Joker's book and beat the damn freak with a crowbar!

  • @saturn0205 Probably like the rest of the fans he hated Jason Todd remember he is a fanboy first.

  • Jason Todd was voted dead by all the bat fans, but he go the last laugh and came back as the rogue gun toting vigilante Red Hood

  • Thumbs up is you think Bat-Mite voted to have Jason Todd killed. Hell, he probably rigged the votes.

  • @TerryB01 Good point.

  • @TerryB01 And he was probably the first victim of the Red hood.

  • @OtakuwarriorInfernio Unlikely since he's basically a "good" version of Mr. Impossible-To-Say-Name from Superman comics.

  • @TerryB01 Superman's Fifth Dimension foe Mr. Mxyptlk. His name is easy to spell. Saying it is a different matter. :)

  • @ldkusa71 He said it pretty well in his debut episode from STAS. FINALLY could pronounce it!

  • @TerryB01 He wouldn't HAVE to rig the votes.

  • @Nanaman12345 You're right. Jason sucked THAT much. Now that he's back he sucks even MORE!:D

  • @TerryB01 Jason Todd was my favorite Robin......After Tim Drake that is. Also Damian is kinda cool. But I don't know much about him.

  • @Snakebite105 I never liked Jason or Damien. Stephanie Brown sucked too much to be a Robin to me. I like Tim, but I hate how Gary-Stu they make him sometimes. NO WAY he could trial Batman and find out his secret identity on his own without Bruce knowing.

If the government and villains and heroes couldn't do it, how can a (pre)teenager?

Other than that I really like Tim.

  • @TerryB01 he more then likley did, because DC reported that someone did using an autodialing machine increased the kill Jason votes by several hundred thus leading to Jason's death,so somebody rigged it.................maybe it was Batmite? ;3

  • @doujinloverXD Well what do you know? I was RIGHT! LOL!:D

  • @TerryB01 pretty much that naughty Batmite, well if he hadn't done that then we wouldn't have gotten Time Drake or the Epic Red Hood saga that launched Jason back from the dead.XD

  • The unstoppable force vs. the immovable object line made me smile

  • 0:29 thats messed up XD

  • "Guess How I voted?" lol

  • Fer cryin' out...C'MON, MITEY!!! Even YOU have more taste than to make a joke out of what happened to Jason!

  • @Gunganfan Talk about taking the piss

  • i dont think batman gave two shits about jason

he probally voted for him to die

  • @BlindmelonKen Wrong.

  • Yeah he broke the fourth wall.....why didn't Batman knock his ass out after mentioning Jason?

  • @sonicfast17 because this batman doesn't know jason...probably. there isn't even a mention of tim drake yet. i'm assuming in the brave and the bold universe, there's only dick grayson who goes from robin to nightwing, and that's it. although it would be nice to see tim drake.

  • How DID he vote?

  • @TheRobin53

Bamite is probably one of those fanboys who knew Batman before Batman was invented and hates change. So he probably did vote to kill him.

  • bat-mite did brake the 4th wall wow i was just checking
