I was trying to bring the kite down but the sharp rocks where hurting my feet, so I didn't focus on bringing it down properly and it powered up and pulled me. At that point I wanted it to keep it from pulling me in further and so I ejected it.
The non kiter either didn't know how to grab the kite or you should not have assume that he did. Many mistakes in this video. Never land the kite inside the wind window either, take it to the side of the window....and always underpower rather then overpower.
tks for the free lesson.. 16m kite in 25-30 knots? slightly overpowered? and too near the danger of rocks. Lucky you unhooked and still be in one piece. Do you see why the safety tips say "always wear a helmet"?
Yeah... I had it strapped to my harness, but when I released it, the velcro didn't hold and I lost it. At that point I didn't really care though, fortunetly, no one was around the area where it landed.
The problem was that the water I was standing on was full of sharp rocks... So I was thinking about the pain in my feet and not about lowering the kite like I was supposed to. So I lost control of it, and the shit pull me towards the rocks... So I had to eject the kite...
did u have a safety leash bro???
