This is soO true!!!! I sing R&B its been going on about 8 0r 9 years of singing completely R&B music its a really big difference... I just recently decided to join the choir thinking I would go in their, and it would be a peace of cake. but I was wrong! its a big difference singing gospel its not the same almost, like he said IT MORE PUSHING OPENING YOUR mouth, and PROJECTING,!!! SINGING LOUD!

I think you are WAY!!! Wrong!! in traditional gospel the runns are shorter but they way beyonce sings is gospel! listen to kim burrell Karen Clark Sheard who are two of the signiture voices in gospel and you will understand what gospel singers do. this guy is a very traditional gospel singer. no hate I really just don't understand why people like to talk about things they have a half understanding of and put on Youtube???

There are many factors that can influence style and genre. Maybe one of the biggest is vowel shaping which wasn't discussed in this video. Thanks Dave and Billy.

You can't really assess that kind of stuff with something stylistic. Wasn't pushed at all, but it might sound like it do to the effect of compression ^_^
