  • 4.45 was it a 171 service?

  • I think that there is a SMRT China made bus. And one more thing, the 950 has one malaysian sticker written 80/90Km/h. But i feeling that they can't even pass the 75 mark. There are only 3 to 4 gears in O405 right?

  • sorry but when can you make part 2, looking forward to an updated version with some new buses

  • You stay sembawang right

  • there is no special buses for smrt?

  • Nissan FHI buses not retired yet?

  • the first music make me cry but i never forget bus 950

  • what the hell what happen at 1:07?

  • i could never forget the engine sound of that merc o405, the sound i grew up with ever since i was 6

  • most of the photos were taken at tampines.

  • isnt tt dangerous to be using parts of different models to fix together? so weird. but good way to save money

  • At 2:14,which u more interested in? The accident or the bus?

  • Why is the music so scary?

  • the two types of 0405G aircon colder

  • titinspartan is such a bus lover and so am i!! bus models are so cool...

  • At 3.21 are they the Daf buses which are Hispano bodied which once came from the CSS services? tintin please answer

  • No, it is WA DAF. The one you mentioned got involved in an accident and it's front was replaced with a Hispano one since the orignal front is beyond repair.

  • btw thanks for the info but one more question.WHy wernt there any OC500LEs buses when I waited at cck interchange for more than an hour? And did you get info from businfohub?

  • Comment removed

  • @CpHelper That is TIB700X. It was originally bodied by WA but its front end was replaced with a Hispano front because of an accident.

  • i think u miss one type of bus from SMRT...which is...if im not wrong...is the Mercedes Benz volgren bendy...u can usually found tat bus at woodlands or bus number 190. i love tat bus...its wide and nicer than the Hispano-pinifarina habit. bet the engine is the same...and one more thing i notice tat most of the smrt buses rim has change colour... its in white now...rather than the usual black.. u can find this on most of service number 190 now...

  • Yes, I appreciate your concern.

The volgren bendy was not featured because there is insufficient photos of them.

  • hmmpphh ok....anyway good work on tat vid... or maybe u would like 2 have another project again on SMRT buses....FYI most of the service 190 bus rims has change colour...its in white now...kinda wierd...coz it remind me of LEGO tyre rims which is also in white... well so far i havent ride on tat new bus tat SMRT has... since u have ride on it...does the bus has a airbag suspension like the one in the Scania tat SBS transit have??

  • @flanker88 190 Doesn't have Volgren Bendy ;)

  • nice collection of photos of buses!

  • Thanks so much fopr this great video, along with the sbs collection. I just want to know if the articulated bus have their engine in the rear or middle section and it drives the mid or rear axle?

  • the engine is at the back and it drives the whole bus.If it moves the back only the middle connection would be squashed

  • u mean even the steer axles are driven?

  • yes but the front axle may be pushed by the middle axle

  • Actually, the engine is at the rear, driving only the rear axle. The rear-middle driving axle combination is on the Renault PR180. The O405G is a pusher type bendy.

  • but wouldn't the joint gets crushed during acceleration? and how is the middle axle driven?the drive axle bends at the joint?

  • I think there is an engine box somewhere near the middle which is operated by the back engine and thus moving the middle axle

  • Nope. There is no engine box in the middle. The Arcticulator will no get crushed. Most arctics are pusher type.

  • It all depends on the articulated (bendy as you guys call it) bus. The earlier Crown/Ikarus 286 Articulated buses had their engines situated underfloor, mid-center of the 1st half of the vehicle which made it a "puller" type of articulated bus.

  • on the other hand, where I work at O'ahu Transit Services we have over 140 New Flyer D60LF Articulated buses which are all "pusher" types meaning the engine, transmission drive the most rear end axle (the 3rd axle). Most of our New Flyer artics are Cummins M11 Powered (10.8L 330hp rating) with some Detroit Diesel Serie 50 powered units(8.5L 4 cylinder turbodiesel with a 320hp rating) and the rest are Caterpillar C9 Powered (10.5L 335hp rating). I hope I could have been of some help to this.
