Offenbach's a badass. I did research on him for an English class a long time ago and if knowledge serves me right he enjoyed pissing off politicians and the state so much that he was kicked out of England and France for it. Quite the rabblerouser.

Do some more research: the Deuxième Empire (Napoleon III) is a wonderful period in history. Offenbach played his part by making fun of the imperial family, its nobilty and their bourgeois fans.

In Italia sono usciti tre dischi LP33 "can't stop the classics" e li ho tutti e tre. Vi consiglio anche "Accademia in classics", ma di questo gruppo trovate,purtroppo, solo un piccolo brano su Youtube. Grazie per la musica e auguri di buon 2009.
