Tourism isn't necessarily a bad thing. It brings money to the area and the locals benefit from that. Tourists also return home with an incentive to preserve the area's environment. I think it's an area worth sharing with the world.

Great pics and music, it is a fantastic area to visit with geysiers, salt lakes, Valle de la luna, volcanos and the interesting history of the Atacamenia people. Gone too touristy and rip offery though.
