I still love this song and wound up with it on 7", so it's all good. Lead singer looks a bit like a bleached Stuart Adamson. Aren't these fellas Scottish too? It IS possible to appreciate music beyond and outside your comfort zone, and this is a shining example. Each decade brings new favorites, and the 80's brought me this. @Petraboye Good to hear your update about the band members. This is such a fine song, one of the best from 1984, along with The Smiths. I think that A-Ha may have been influenced by this, certainly sounds like it in the vocal department! lol all the best!

@kirkwallboy The drummer also went on to be in Simple Minds. There's a band from Norway often likened to Fiction Factory called Fra Lippo Lippi. The song 'Every Time I See You' does bear some resemblance to this in fact. Love Fiction Factory. Scotland was a band-making machine back in the 80s.

I am a child of the 60's, and as such, all my musical influences are to found there....well, almost all. But this is something else. It IS possible to appreciate music beyond and outside your comfort zone, and this is a shining example. Each decade brings new favorites, and the 80's brought me this. Rest on your laurels guys, if you never wrote anything else after this, then this one would do forever.
