  • damn seeing this made me miss my college days as well as feel old..great vid

  • wow good lord...I was only in 7th grade. Makes me feel young now!! =)

  • This song makes you feel old? OMG that does make ME feel old then lol

  • @mikefontaine27 1996

  • Well done, great vid

  • when did this song come out?

  • WIcked song and video! nice post.

  • Ahhh.... thats what I needed to watch this morning. Such an uplifting and fun video! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thank you, so much, for leaving this vid on here - I love it. Watch it when I need a pick me up - I want their job! LOL

  • was that the drummer from fleetwood mac that is walking on the video and waves?

  • haha—it sure was.

  • Yep, Mick Fleetwood!

  • yep

  • Just like whiskey, good old music gets better with age. Yeah I know that analogy is used a lot but it just works so well here!

  • Simply a great album.

  • Great song in a great album!

  • Sweet boom box. F'f awesome band

  • Awseome tune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saw these guys last night live. They were great!!!! If you get the chance to see them take it!!!

  • super super right there man

  • Your 10000% right that was when music had a purpose and there was talent and not looks and skimpy outfits

  • oh my gosh i havent heard this songs in years... but still a classic rock song... love it!!! from 1 of your Caribbean fans

  • Wow, I haven't seen this in a long time. I think their is another version to this video.

  • mick fleetwood is the self proclaimed "best drummer in the world", which one is he in the video anyway

  • To me it sounded like "More than a feeling" at the beginning. Great band though

  • I can't believe these guys didn't make it bigger. Lemon Parade was an incredible album . Every song very original, great.

  • Tonic is Awesome!

  • About the whole "Nickelback" thing, Chad is a great artist. For some reason he keeps putting out "teeny bopper" music. However it's still good in some sense, at least with the younger crowd. I see him as being held back by something, probably his label, from putting out what he would like to put out.

  • Holy smokes!!! It is Mick, I've been watching this video since "Lemon Parade" came out. I NEVER NOTICED!!! Too cool!

  • I saw them live! They were AMAZING DX =D

  • Such a good song. 90's Music was the shit, God I wish bands still put out phenomenal stuff like that, not just once, but often.....Like they used to.

  • This video still makes me laugh. That was Mick Fleetwood. Tonic was on a Fleetwood Mac tribute album awhile back and Emerson(lead singer) is friends with Mick. I'm glad Tonic reunited now and is on tour. I'm seeing them in Cleveland in 2 weeks.

  • lol speaking of a funny part did you notice how one of them is replaced, by a professional dancer in some frames in the last bit

  • Dude, the one guy looks like Mick Fleetwood. The older gentleman with the beard around the 2 minute mark? Anyway, in keeping with the random conversation in the posts to this point... I dislike Nickleback. I hope everyone feels better for having heard my opinion... So yeah, Mick Fleetwood.

  • I think that was Mick Fleetwood!!

  • this video is fantastic

  • CHRIS HOLLY w/ TONIC friday aug 7th WINDJAMMER isle of palms sc USA> BE THERE!!!

  • "but I would say that they wipe the floor with bands like Matchbox20 and Nickelback"...........???

    What a ridiculous comment!

  • Now this is a TRUE music video. All the other videos are fake compared to this one.

  • classic when videos were videos

  • lolz @ 3:23-3:24

  • whoever compared them to nickelback should have their posting rights revoked.

    you can't compare the two.

  • AHHH i love this! <3

  • Is that Mick Fleetwood @ 2:03?!

  • Yep. ;-)

  • Awesome cameo.

Has Tonic ever done a video for "Flower Man"?

  • no, but i wish, flowerman is a badass song

  • I love America because there is no middle ground at all. You're either a war monger or a financially irresponsible socialist.

One side is either a disaster in the foreign or domestic arenas... It doesn't make any sense. Speaking as a foreigner I can tell that both of you guys are retards.

  • Well, sir. Have you ever heard that song by Eric Clapton that proclaimns, 'before you accuse me, take a look at yourself.?" I suggest you take his advice, Mr. finger-pointer.

When your place of residence is a beacon of enlightenment, and flawless, then you come a'knockin'. 'Til then, save it.

  • you want to talk corrupt, what about bush and his war mongering?

  • This song easily captures the American people blindness towards the corrupt and out of control Obama Presidency.

  • thank you, I voted for the lesser of the two evils McCain

  • I miss the 90s

  • why don't see people whta is going on in the world

  • haha beefed it? i am sorry Spider1974 but no one says that any more.

Rocket Power is not on tv anymore

  • What a great band...awesome LIVE!!!

  • don't call them a great band, If You Could Only See is their only good song

  • You serious? They are lyrically and musically a superior band. If you think this is their only good song then perhaps you have not heard any others.

  • You've got to be kidding!

Every single Tonic song is good enough to be a number one single. 100% serious.

  • I completely agree with that statement! Tonic rocks! :)

  • if that were true, than every one of their songs would be a number 1 single

  • No, they're not number 1 singles because they're a very under rated band that not enough people know about.

  • They are the greatest band EVER and ALL of their songs are freakin AWESOME! So there! hehe :)

  • all right calling them great is one thing but the best band ever? there just another typical alternative rock band like Shinedown, Nickelback, Daughtry, Fuel, Three Doors Down, Audioslave, atchbox 20, nothing special about them at all

  • They are definitely the best in my book!

  • They're nothing like any of those bands. And they are far from typical.

Have you actually heard any of their songs that weren't released as singles? Try some of their other songs.

  • yes I have, typical alternative rock, but I guess they aren't like those bands, in the way that some of those bands are actually good

  • There's nothing comparable about the bands you listed.

Other than the fact that Daughtry and Brett KIND OF sound a little similar.

  • I wouldn't go as far as classing them Nickelback

  • Dude, I like your taste in music and all... But there are many bands out there who are more deserving of your keyboard scorn. I wouldn't call Tonic the greatest ever but I would say that they wipe the floor with bands like Matchbox20 and Nickelback. "If you could only see" is an epic song.

  • I wonder if they beefed it at the end with that jump in the air, haha!

  • An excellent rockin' tune! One of the best singles from 1996!

  • i know and my band was going to do a video for one of our songs with the whole tux tee and roller blades but then i remembered this video :D

  • what is this song about?

  • its about not accepting things at face value. and how the 'stones' that drag you down, are beliefs that you may not need..

  • This is by far one of the most underrated songs of all time, I just remembered it from a long time ago, and I bet if people heard it again these days, they'd love it

  • I totally forgot about this song, barely remember it from back then, just the tag line. They had a couple popular songs, but I don't remember them much. Awesome song.

  • Good song.

  • I love the end! :D great song!

  • Love this song!!! In fact.. Lemon Parade is an awesome album!!!

  • Anybody else notice Mick Fleetwood!!

  • yep

  • looking crazy as always! lol

  • I didnt know Tom Green was in this band lol!

  • LOL!!!!!! XD

  • The drummer? Stop insulting the man!

  • these guys are playing here in florida at sunfest! they are great and will play great!

  • i miss the 90's

  • HOW KNOW WHAT THE NAME OF THIS SONG: open up your and you release ???

    PLEASS SAY IT SOME ONE

  • Hey,- this isn't the video that MTV showed!

  • Yet another wonderful song!

  • These guys were very under rated-damn good group~

  • Great song, Great Group

  • Original vid, thanks for putting it up, R.IP. MTV !! 1997, Peace 69vader.

  • What's the point of the music vid? Good song though!

  • chy why is there randomly a black guy break dancing?

  • I just saw these guys in concert last night with Gin Blossoms. They sound GREAT. Awesome harmonies and vibe, so much fun. I want to watch them live again!

  • Yes, that was Mick Fleetwood.

  • cute vid makes me miss skating :P

  • Thats cool to see people actually using the front yards instead of just mowing it or parking the car there.

  • DANG YOUTUBE... you're gonna make me go pull out my old Tonic CD... it was awesome by the way. so y'all go buy it... all of them.

  • was that mick fleetwood?

  • yup! love it!

  • I like how one of band switches from a white guy to a black guy all of a sudden during the dance.

  • This is one of my favorite bands. Lemon Parade and Sugar are both awesome CDs!

  • this vid is ridiculous!

  • This video does rock. Black guy as the stunt double haha. These guys rock.

  • this video kicks ass

  • LEMON PARADE kicked :)

  • I loved the whole lemon parade album. Where did this gem of a band go?

  • this is one of my favorite songs!

  • Wow my cured salmon is WAY to salty it might have been the capers that made it saltier too, who knows?

  • I don't know, botchalism, I've had that happen before myself

  • I get mine at Cosco it's $10 for a huge jar of them that'll last you a year as opposed to $2.50 for little jars that last you a month. You can also get a tub of cream cheese there to make lochs and bagels, god I love the northwest.

  • Thanks for the info...mmm, mmmm good

  • ^_^

  • Love this video! I seem to remember a previous video for this song where the band are playing it in a room, anybody remember that?

  • all of the people walking down the street are supposed to represent other 90's bands that were popular at the time... i wish i could remember who all of them are... i know the wallflowers are in there... mb20... fiona apple, 3eb...

  • i saw fiona apple but which one is wallflowers

  • there are nine different artists represented (not including Mick)

The Wallflowers are 4th... the woman holding up what looks like a flowered bed sheet

  • wow, the late '90s really didnt suck all that much. I cant wait till this is popular again.

  • i've always loved this and if you could only see. =D

my mom was always a tonic fan,as am i. lol

  • oh hell yes~

  • idk about u guys but this album was in perfect sinc with the twilight books

  • I've always liked the dance they do at 2:26.

  • excellent skating sequence.

  • Nice! Mick Fleetwood at 2:05!

  • btw ,they are not irish-----american!

  • great group!

  • SIMPLY AWESOME,LOVE EM~~~~~~

  • awesome song

  • great song

  • I saw them live!! LAST NIGHT!!! AHHHHHH OFMGG!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!

  • You've got to be STUPID...

    Brittany the end of rock???

Brittany was NEVER in ANY WAY AT ALL. Rock....

  • funny,...i remeber this song much more heavier!!!!

  • It was heavier on the album. I've never heard this version. Unless maybe the uploader only got one channel (left or right) when it was uploaded. Great song though.

  • Fleetwood was probably just on his way to get some blow from his dealer and was caught "accidentally" in the video.

  • Is that Mic Fleetwood on the street? Wow, great cameo.

  • I fell in love with this song back in 1996. As far as all the other supposed celebrities mentioned below....well.....who the hell cares? They will never impact our personal lives. If you care that much, you desperately need to erect a personal life of your own. Trust me, those celebrities don't care if you live or die.

  • i want to do that...put on that exact outfit and fucking skate down my street singing this fucking song!

  • lol I'll join you and bring two of my friends xD

  • 2:08 he's wearing Grey rollers instead of red lol. But good song irregardless.

  • great song!!!....but LOL I just noticed at about 2:45 there is a black guy break dancing which I thing was dubbed in like he was part of the group!

  • I think he was doing the stunt-tough rollerskating dance moves

  • Good eye! How did you see that? I wonder what that's about.

  • i heard this song unplugged at work at menards over the shi@ty speakers and thought holy shi@ i havent heard this since 1996

  • love this song , hate the video.. I get it wedding shirts ha, done a million times and still not funny.

  • you my friend, are an idiot.

  • Ah Men Barthsburgers right on!

  • i love this song.

  • Agreed. However, until that shit band Marcys Playground poisoned everything with Sex and Candy. From that moment forward good "altenative" 90's rock became "Modern Rock" and sucked ever since

  • So that's what happened to alt rock! Fuck I always hated that Marcy Playground song.

  • WTF did Marcys playground do to the 90s? Britney Spears marked the end of rock and the music industry in general. Sex and Candy would have been decent if they didn't overplay it. Bands such as Kid Rock, Creed, Godsmack, pathed the way for generic redneck rock that sucks a dick.

  • your right about sex and candy loved but then it go over played but.....

Brittany is not the END of rocks she is the start of the fallout from the shit storm of crappy wannabe cookie cutter artists, aka "Douche bags", that came after the end was brought on by by the complete loss of talent. Speaking of which Godsmack, ok, but Kid Rock is a generic redneck who sucks dick. Do yourself a favour put in some Tool and fuck'n forget everything else!

  • yeah, but if marcy's released "saint joe's on the school bus" instead of "sex and candy" as their first single, thing would have been a HELL of a whole lot different.

  • Sounds like Tom Cochrane's "Big League", especially in the verses with the guitar chords, This is a cool song, but this is definetely not the video that it deserves.

  • hey mic fleetwood!!!waz up!!lol

  • Great song. Ridiculously weird video. I want some of whatever they were smoking.

  • sounds very similar to a part from the Beatles song "You Never Give Me Your Money"

  • I love how the Red Wings play this song at The Joe when the ref makes a bad call.

  • Hahaha! Huge huge Wings fan here and I have always found it fitting as well.

  • Wow the audio is

    EXCELLENT in this

    vid huh?!? YEAH!

    ;-)

  • Lemon Parade...yeah I'll

    4ever love this song too!

    <333

    ;-)

  • woo hoo i love this song

  • your mom sounds like rod stewart.

  • your pathetic, go shove something sharp deep into your ear.

  • awsome cd i love tonic

  • love love love this video. very creative and free, a pure quality that i wish wasnt so rare these days

  • was that mick fleetwood..ha ha best call of the 90s but this reminds me of a decade that i will never forget i love you 90s

  • 90s really were the best. Maybe 2010 will bring us some good music.

  • It'd be cool go get some good new genre of music spring up just for the fun of it. I think those days are long gone, its only going to get worse...perhaps.

  • We can only hope.

  • Tonic has two of the best CD's of the 90's out. Almost every song was incredible on both Lemon Parade and Sugar....Only other band to impress me that much in the 90's was Candlebox's self titled album...

Almost every single song on both these groups albums were perfection.

  • This video is so cool. I remember first seeing this and thinking, awesome video.

  • Dude sounds like rod stewart..

  • I just like the idea of a balsom tonic with thighs wide open.

  • I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that the singer looks a hell of a lot like John McVie.
