emo is a music genre and nothing more. "EMO KID" is a bull shit phrase made up by assholes who like to make people feel like shit. Just because you don't like certain rock bands for playing emotional music doesn't mean the band is garbage it just means that they don't appeal to YOUR tastes. However factually the genre of music called "Emo" is real and it affiliates with bands that sing about sadness and whatnot. But i do agree with you i think that the vast majority of music regardless of the genre contains plenty of the emotion of the writers.

First of all this band is NOT emo. Emo would be garbage bands like "Horthorn Heighs", "All American Rejects", "Dashboard". An emo kid is a cum guzzleing abortion fuck that cuts themself for attention. I do not know what category to place this band in other than the fact that they have skills. The singer is a professionally trained opera singer for god sake. Also they do not get the attention they deserve. I just know they are one of the better unknown San Diego based bands.
