In order to believe the narrative set here in your video that God sent down 3 different contradictory messages , you would have to believe that all 3 books are the Word of god and have not been tampered with by human hands. That assumption is just not qualified by current scholarship.
The Qur'an repeatedly states that the two earlier books have been tampered with. The Quran also mentions that other prophets receeved revelations of which we have no records of currently.
Basically there were more than 3 books, messages were sent throughout human history at different places and different places and different times.
I'm aware that you are muslim; I'm pointing out the fallacy of how you think ppl resort to atheism out of laziness, which is competely untrue.
"there are more than 3 books" well, we have no evidence for that (other than the quran saying so, which means zero evidence). We only have the 3 abrahamic books, so according to evidence, only 3 books exist.
The fact that your god doesn't know that we evolved from apes shows he knows nothing.
My comment about laziness was sarcasm...although I do know athiests who've said one of the reasons was that they basically don't want to do any rituals.
The point of me bringing up "there are more than 3 books" is because the original poster of this video is claiming that the three Abrahamic religions claim or at least their proponents claim that there are only 3 books "sent to a particular spot in the world (the Middle East)."
That is a false representation since Islamic belief states that there were numerous prophets sent to numerous peoples in numerous places in numerous times in human history. Which basically makes untrue everything the original poster said.
Questions of evidence are not relevant here, as we are talking about claims made by Islam. The original poster claims that Islam says one thing, when I have pointed out that Islam does not say that.
As for the evolution statement. there are no explicit statements in the Quran claiming we descend from apes. (By the way, the whole "descent from apes" is really a gross and crass characterization of the evolutionary process.) Nevertheless, the Quran doesn't explicitly state alot of facts.Theres no mention of lets say how the brain sends signals through neural pathways. That doesn't mean that the speaker has no knowledge of the subject, it is just not the subject of what is being spoken about.
@Ghazali83: I know that your post is quite old by now, but I wanted to point out that the descent of humans is a pretty important topic. Why would it not be included? And you forgot to mention that even besides not including many scientific facts, it includes incorrect scientific facts. Besides the "Islam" part, you seem to be a smart guy. If you do believe in evolution and modern science (as it appears to me), why hold on to the crazy claims made in the Qur'an?
Your comment is like saying "Ghazali, you wrote all that but you didn't mention that the capital of America is Washington,D.C., you are therefore an ignoramus"
No, it means that Washington,D.C. was not relevant to what I'm speaking about.
As for the Old Testament and the New Testament, I suggest you read Bibilical criticism and scholarship of the bible and then read the criticism in the Quranic studies (and don't cherry pick the arguments that would fit your preconceived ideas as those arguments have counter arguments as well).
Your stating for example that Christians' belief in salvation through accepting Jesus implies that is what god sent originally to Jesus. Modern scholarship proves this to be untrue.
It is well known in wider Islamic belief, that the message of God was sent to numerous nations to numerous peoples in history, some recorded in history and others not. Not all of them are mentioned in the Qu'ran.
So that defeats your emphasis on a "particular time or place "argument.
I have tried hard to be open to athiesm again after having been one for years because sometimes Islam can be a drag in a modern world and all that prayer and fasting gets in the way.
Nevertheless, this video, other than being unfunny and just awful to have to sit through is also intellectually dishonest.
Ridiculous, Atheism is a universal negative position which we all know is 100% impossible to prove. There is no evidence that supports the non existence of God. The Atheistic position is based on simple abstract possibility. Illogical and 100% intellectually indefensible. In order to make the claim "there is no God" necessitates that? one would have to have complete and absolute knowledge of the entire universe (omniscience). There is evidence for God that leaves the Atheist dumbfounded.
Prove to me that unicorns don't exist. You can't. Prove to me that the flying spaghetti monster doesn't exist. You can't. Prove to me Santa doesn't exist. You can't. Prove to me that leprechauns don't exist. You can't. You can't say something doesn't exist until you know everything. Leprechauns obviously exist outside your realm of observation.
You cannot prove the existence of something by claiming that you can't know whether it exists or not. That's a ridiculous claim.
right, but one cant prove a negative ie prove god is real or not real.
also even if there is a god, that doesnt mean the god of faith which we are told is god is god!
I dont buy into any book of faith being god, or from god. anyone that reads about god in some book will come to find out that the god of faith is too stupid to be an intelligent being
I for one have a theosophy edication, but I am still skeptical about the teachings.
"to place 1 that make misschief in it and shed blood"??? is that not talking about MAN but instead its the DEVIL.. he has been placed there to cause mischief and sheds blood. there has had to been a bet between god and lucifer. what was that bet?? that lucifer will turn all MEN against god? is this the direction of the ! world goverment? to remove spirituality from MAN? mind some religions seem to to that already.
Re the many denominations in Islam. There is only one Islam which was sent by God to Mohammad. Obviously, there is only one true way of these denominations and the rest have deviated from the Truth. As a matter of fact, this has happened in Christianity & Judaism. FYI, Prophet Mohammad said that we will be divided into 70 denominations, one of which is the right one.
the players are different, the content is, eh, different, the ending is the same....all that do not bend to the will of the so-called god will suffer for eternity.
I was an atheist once. But then I read the Quran. When I got to the part where I am allowed to belt my wife I converted instantly. But when I belted her she belted me back! That part's not there. Men belt woman, woman don't belt men, god must not exist.
You shall suffer an eternal consequence my friend. You will be 'belted' in hell for eternity if you die an atheist. A very severe punishment awaits you.
I'm open to reason, I'm willing to be converted, what you got other than hate speech.
I don't even know from your statement to which hell I'm going. You could at least tell me, do you believe in Zeus, is it Hades I'm going too? Or have you a better more Middle Eastern myth. Or are you a Hindu or is it Shinto or is it Babuism. Which of the over 100,000 religious hells am I going to.
From your venom I'd say you are a Christian or a Muslim. And Id say Im right.
I wonder, will people who have never even heard of the quran (or bible for that matter) also have to suffer eternal torment? You know like that isolated tribe that was discovered in the brazilian rain forest last year. If it was so important you would think god would have sent prophets to tell them. In fact they should already have the correct holly book in their possession. But they dont. So either god is unfair or your belief about this subject is wrong. You decide.
I wonder if you know that the God of Islam and the Jews and the Christians are one and the same. The one individual who unifies them all is Abraham. What about the story where he's just about to slaughter his son and then God jumps in there to rescue him at the last minute. I'd say your god is pretty arbitrary, wouldn't you say? On minute he's taking people's lives or torturing them, the next moment he's saving them. What's up with that?
It's even more repugnant... you're forgetting that it was god in the first place who ordered Abraham to slaughter his son. God then changed his mind (huh?) and stopped him. Or.. eh, well, he sent an angel to do that for him.

its "yasfek" not "yafsek". u have a thick accent when speaking arabic. i dont know what to say. i hope u think again about islam. still, i cant ignore the social, economical, historical, and above all religious aspects of life found in Quran. there is no way it was written by a human being.... never.
There is nothing magical about the Qur'an. Watch his video "Scientific miracles in the qur'an". I respect your beliefs but discussislam has done his research
i agree that he has done his research, but, Quran is 604 pages. he only chose certain verses and made in many cases his own interpretation. if u wanna understand Quran u have to read it yourself. make ur own understanding. There were many misinterpretations. i can provide u with some. I'm Muslim, and, i don't agree with many things which many Muslims " may " believe in, like killing innocent people, marrying 4 women, nor 2 hit a wife. because people misunderstood the verses. i have my own belief
Indeed a perfect creator, the god who's all powerfull and all knowing, would write that hitting your wife is alright, and killing innocent people is just splendid.
While wanting to convey a message of understanding and peace. It makes perfect sense!
no. in Quran it doesn't say to kill innocent people. it says to fight back for your right. for your taken land. if some body takes your house against your well, are u going to say you r welcome?! regarding hitting a wife, in islam man have more superior power over his wife, if he provide her with whatever she wants, spend on her.etc... in return she must treat him good. if she doesnt he could tell that, if she doesnt listen, he can hit her, not on the face, like shake her arm not hard though.
now tell me what a drunk man may do to his wife if he had an argument with her in your society???? why u have broken families?? and kids who dont know their parents...???? don't talk about a religion that u know nothing about it. people made their own explanations of religion where it match their own needs. like atheists, like u, like me...
Quran doesn't say to kill unbelievers. nor innocent people. the verse says. " fight them and get them out of ur land as they did to u" now what ever said after that is not mentioned in Quran.
i didn't agree on "a man hit his wife issue". i only tried to explain the issue. still, I'm Muslim. i just told u. i made my own explanation, just like u. like atheists...
You are an ignorant imbecile. Are you suggesting that If someone breaks into your home, commits rape then kicks you and your family out of YOUR home and makes it his own, Are you going to make peace with him to 'prevent further bloodshed'? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Let's say that happened 500 years ago, and now I live peacefully somewhere else, and the man who took my great great great great great great great great grandfathers home has been dead for quite some time.
Then I wouldn't go there to kill whoever lives there now.
Not when they want to kill jews, when the jews were persecuting the Muslims in Islam's early days. Those verses are regarding a specific incident. Research it if you must. There is a reason and background history as to the revelation of many of the verses in the Quran. The supposed violent verses in teh Quran are not referring to mankind in general as a whole but are rather referring to specific incidents.
*Sighs* This verse is alluding to a certain time or incident. It does not in anyway say to kill any non believer or 'infidel'. That is strictly forbidden. Rather in Surah Kafirun it is said that you must live in peace and harmony with those of other beliefs. It encourages to act civil and allow the practice of all religions in Islamic country. Unfortunately that is not in practice today.
I really with that this box did not contain a word limit. I could go in more detail..
I'll answer it straight and simple. Islam forbids the instigation of war or the killing or mistreatment of non believers. I prohibits racism and it prohibits bigotry. In Islam to have love for one another is one thing that has constantly been emphasized again and again.
Those verses are AGAIN REFERRING TO AN INCIDENT OF THE JEWS. Islam gives permission to go to war but only and strictly ONLY if it is in defense as a last resort to defend your country.
It still commands people to kill other people. How is that peacefull? All countries were once someone elses country, everyone could justify murder by your logic.
Anyways, I could pick other qoutes, like: "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolators wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
Oh come on. Those are the verses that are referring to the battle between the jews/idolators and Muslims. If Islam really required to spread by the sword, then there would be no Hindus in India and no Arab Christians in the heart of the birthplace of Islam. I suggest you educate yourself more.
Islam forbids killing. God you can't deduce your facts can you? It doesn't command. It says so only in defense. ONLY IN DEFENSE. Opression is forbidden. Tyranny is forbiddne
"Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors."
"Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves"
First off let me address that the English Quran is not to be taken word for word since the authentic Quran is in Arabic. Second, the places where it says that Islam promotes hate is nothing more than mere interpretation. Why weren't the Muslim's promoting hate against the disbelievers when a good portion of the world was under the rule of Islam? Why are there still Arab Christians and Jews found in the middle east by the millions?
Jews were forcibly removed from the middle east in the 40's. All Arab nations except for Lebanon expelled them and took all their property.
Of course, that's modern history. As for Christians and Jews during the Islamic age, there had been a steady decline and they were both treated as second class citizens. The Jews and Christians are protected by Quranic verses, but Muslims committed unbelievable atrocities in Ancient Hindu India. I know MSA, the translations in English are pretty good...
cont'd have you ever met a wally allah before? (A super religious person) They are very special people. I am not saying this out of bias or blind faith or even delusion I'm not kidding. I met this one guy. He's of Indian descent and he's 93 years old. He has possessed jinns before and in his lifetime he converted exactly 5393 people. He's prominent in Brampton I believe within the Muslim community. I just have to say that he was an amazing man who only strengthened my belief in Islam.
I am not surprised that you would be inclined to disbelieve in what I said. It does not relate to me but it is very interesting. The way he has been said to convert people is also amazing. It's really a long story.
In regards to the possession of the Jinn's story, yes they do exist. I know you think I am being delusional in this statement, but there are people out there who are able to do bizarre things with the possession of Jinns. Just go to Rivend, Lahore in Pakistan or Nizam-Muddin India.
The only people who see or can control Djinn are people from desolate places or small villages. I'm half Persian, and the same holds true for my people in Iran. The village people believe in them and hold them to be reality but most people in the city are at least skeptical or dont believe at all dismissing Jinn as an old Arab superstition (which it is). That's not really enough proof for me to accept their existence. Thank you for your kind reply.
I understand you reasons for not believing. I myself however was able to witness such strange anomalies. The reason we don't hear from these people is because they choose to be secluded. Islam is about being humble and not constantly striving for worldly recognition and gain. I was skeptical of the story as much as you are today since I live all the way here in Western Canada.
The Jinn do not like to intermingle with our societies. They live in a paranormal realm if you want to call it that.
I believe that saying that the supernatural doesn't exist is just ignorance in itself, since you are not open to the idea of there being something infinite out there greater than that which they can imagine.
'Islam is such a violent and hateful religion it makes me want to vomit thinking about it. Any religion really, they're all the same.'
Well, someone really needs to do some research. Go watch some videos. I can already see the arguments coming, They're outdated and have been refuted.
"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
I give you fundamentals of 'violence' of Islam in an attempt to clear obvious misconceptions you have.
Yet you give me responses stating how the Quran condones violence, when in reality it does not. It may seem like it at first, but if you look at the historical reasoning behind it, it's not exactly how you may have perceived it tobe at first.
What about womens right? Or Apostasy? Or working for a non-muslim? Or just some damned equality?
The koran clearly states that those who believe are fundamentally different from those who dont believe. And that those who doesn't believe never will, that our hearts are closed.
Islam, like most religions, are fucked up. Clearly a divine being couldn't have written that mess. When you only have a single holy book as evidence for you beliefs, you should make sure it's not garbage.
Your concerns are common and I will address them. Expect a PM soon. I plan on clearing this up.
Your questions regarding apostasy, womens rights, and working for non-muslims are nothing short of typical and something that I would expect.
The Quran states, it but regarding those who disbelieve, it refers to those who aren't willing to see the truth despite the evidence there. AGAIN I will elaborate in the PM I plan on sending soon.
Ironically, while I was soul-searching a bit, I was told to do just that, read some history along with the Quran. All it did was reinforce my rejection of the book as something noble that Mohamed tried to write in order to save his people the Arabs, from being disorganized and hey what do you know, it worked.
I'm probably guessing that you're an ex-Muslim as well, 'soul searching' and somehow finding certain verses and hadiths and assuming that it possible could not be from god because what Muhammad did was objectively immoral. I respectfully ask what made you reject it?
God I suggest you do some research before jumping the gun. I am all for exchanging ideas but when people just ignore the point I try to make then it just gets frustrating.
Actions do however speak louder than words and teachings which is why the Islam you see today is not the Islam that I learned or anyone I grew up with.
Not completely. He has not addressed every miracle and the fact is his explanation of the Big Bang theory was rather weak. He has not even mentioned the density of the water.
He has assumed that somehow Muhammad did his research on these people when he was in the middle of the deserts and has only left his home city 3 times in his life.
Keith Moore has even supported the embryological details within the Quran.
I suggest watching the Divine Book a 10 part documentary.
Keep up the good work mate, i can't understand why you have so few subscribers and your video's so few views. Let's hope that picks up, great content. ;)
no. not only Muslims who do honer killing, but also Arab Jews, and Arab Christians. it has nothing to do with Islam. how many times do i have to tell u this. its some kind of fucked up traditions that Arabs in general do. u r not an Arab??? u never lived in the Arab world, and obviously u don't know anything about Islam.
Mr. Hassan say something to this man. u were Muslim, and u know that honer killing has nothing to do with Islam
honor killing has nothing to do with Islam. stupid men do it following traditions. Islam strictly forbids killing innocent people. some christian Arab men do it in the Arab world. can i explain it that Christianity is after that too. the answer is no. its obvious u know nothing about Islam.
And who said I believe what the IDF says? you make a very good case to establish that NOT ALL muslims are suicide bombers, but the thing is, I never said that they were. But you cannot make the case that NO muslims are suicide bombers, because you have to then follow the rule set by your own argument. BTW, to make it clear, my issue is not with islam only, it is with all religions and dogmatic ideas specially those base on scripture.
at last someone who dares to study the "psychology" of God !
hey I can play god !!..I have a mental structure of reality & I know that by doing some things I would pay a price such as having poo problems by eating to much chili in the middle of the night. If that happens to me it will happen to others as well
So first Obey my higher knowledge, then clean up the town by sweeppin away unbelievers, then remind the chili eaters they will poo in hell & of course I will let u know on my next book
Oh, don't you worry about that. I question EVERYTHING. However, by just reading the "scriptures" it is easy to see where some of the attitudes of religious fanatics come from... and I am talking about the three major monotheist religions, not just islam.
The Coran is like the third film of a bad trilogy. The same all over again, doesn't make sense either and the worst of all, people go watch it even MORE than the first too, in a sinister form of masochism, just to see the end, not knowing there's no end, and that the inevitable episode 4 will be even worst.
So you are saying that all humans should workship some "god"... any "god". Wow, that is some logic... just pick a "god"... any "god", it doesn't matter which one... right? Get this in your head, muslim, your religion, as well as all religions that exists and have ever existed are just a bunch of childish and irrational superstitions... why do us atheist think about your "gods"?, because some of us want religion to start being treated just as any other fairytale and remove it from public affairs.
Unfortunately a lot of the so called Muslims I met in my town cannot even read in their own language, while as others who can read it themselves are open to discuss it to my surprise because in the West we get the media impression that discussions are not done with Muslims. Well,it is nice to keep the world devided and earn some money in that way. And no one reads the Holy books of the other religions or see the worldwide mythology before religions.
yea, it does, but, the verse is incomplete. it says to fight those who fight us. and get our land back. when u want to say a verse u make it complete. its fair enough to fight back?!
fight those who fight us, and get out land back, and as with the other religious stories such as abraham, moses, joshua etc. KILL EVERY NON BELIEVER, yes it's fair to fight back, even if it envolves killing, but genocide is not right, eg. if trojans were to successfully defeat the achaens in the trojan war, would it be just to send the soldiers to sparta, and kill ALL of the achaens for simple invading troy? if yes, u are sadistic and sick, if no then you have undermined your statement.
u misunderstood me. when somebody fight us and take our land from us. we must fight and get our land back. Islam strictly forbids killing women, children, and old men. think about it. its not genocide. u fight for ur right, to get ur land back. eg. when somebody take ur house against ur will. r y going to say u r welcome??
islam strictly forbids killing women, children and seniors, as with christianity and judaism, however, in verses from the tanakh, new testament and qran, we see god ordering and requesting the death of non combatants
in the Islamic empire Muslims lived with non Muslims side by side for about 1400 years or about. with no blood shed, and still in many countries in the Arab world. its people and extremest who misunderstand Quran. everybody present his own understanding of religion. its very wrong to blame religion for people actions. Quran doesn't order killing innocent people.
the roman empire was the same, until extremist christian Heinrich 1st came along and established the holy roman empire, they are called extremists cause they take it way to literally, and to the extreme, following the EXAMPLES of every verse of their religion, and that is my point

The Quran describes evolution in progress. The Quran testifies that... Prophet Adam was the first Representative/Prophet only,(he was not the first human,he was the first man). The mind evolved enough to be taught,God is aware of all.... and started His/God's religion with Adam being the first. The Prophets in the pass would not have killed others unjustly. The Angels could not see the heart in Adam, not one prophet was bad!, & there are many good people in this word that do good.U must use ur mind

uglyandbad: It is the only way to understand the Quran. The Quran tells u to use ur mind or it won't work, hardship will follow if u don't contemplate & think. I am not asking people to use....., I'm saying... u must use ur mind to understand in perspectives. This person talking in this clip is missing links, what about the growth of intellect/capacity.The Quran is prime now& will never fall out of date. What did u understand about this clip?, tell me whats his point?,& please respond in context.
A: That your religion (and also judaism & christianity) are all nonsense: A bunch of superstitions originated from goat herders in the bronze age, in the middle east. Of course, the video makes the point by ridiculing the origins and the main components (prophets and "books") of the three major monotheist religions of the world. BTW, using your head is a pretty good advice: It is the first step towards using reason instead of dogma.
"Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity." 60:8
it is obvious that we are not ordered to kill non believers, only to fight those who fight us.
first of all, the Torah and Bible we have today are not the original ones, they were changed, so your funny impersonating won't fit the real books. The Qur'an doesn't order muslims to kill nonbelievers, otherwise you won't find any non muslim in muslim countries,we have a lot of them in our countries. Qur'an is ordering us to fight who fights us, to kill who tries to kill us.That's it, I wonder how you were a muslim and understood the verses wrongly
Oh yeah, that's right. Islam is a religion of peace an tolerance...It is all about understanding the "verses" correctly...
Thank you for the information, now could you please share it with all those idiots that blow themselves to pieces for the glory of your idiotic god allah, and killing innocent people (including children... read carefully: CHILDREN) in the process?
Try.... W W W . q u r a n i x . n e t , there u will have a choice of translations in good format. I am not saying its perfect, but it better than the books publish from Arabia.
sent a book when i think there wore not even 00.01% who could read, and only in 1 language and there for discriminating all others!!!? how on earth this make sense?????? i wonder how stupid was(are) this gods ??????? very nice video.thankssssssssssssssss bwst wishessssssssss
im almost starting to feel sorry for god, after all, man created god in their image, and 1600 years ago when they wrote the bible, every one was a complete ass hole, which reflects perfectly in the beauty of the lords words.
Odd - for some reason the angel reminds me of Lucifer.... maybe THATS why he got threw out of the kingdom of heaven - asking God too many questions. Wonder when the 4th book of this interesting series will come out - I'll have to keep my eye on the fiction section of my book store for new releases :p
I think god reminbed me more of Lucifer, throwing people into the pits of hell and making it harder to accept the "truth". Would that make Lucifer god? Sacrificing himself to the pits of hell to keep the people sent there by God company? Wow... what would that make Jesus xD
Oh great, a Muslim apologist. Just kidding :) Very funny and you also have a very good radio voice.

IAmTheWarbringer 2 years ago
@italiatua
right, but one cant prove a negative ie prove god is real or not real.
also even if there is a god, that doesnt mean the god of faith which we are told is god is god!
I dont buy into any book of faith being god, or from god. anyone that reads about god in some book will come to find out that the god of faith is too stupid to be an intelligent being
I for one have a theosophy edication, but I am still skeptical about the teachings.

if religion is correct why so many religions????
jigglyfidda125 2 years ago 3
Jigglyfidda125,
Re the many denominations in Islam. There is only one Islam which was sent by God to Mohammad. Obviously, there is only one true way of these denominations and the rest have deviated from the Truth. As a matter of fact, this has happened in Christianity & Judaism. FYI, Prophet Mohammad said that we will be divided into 70 denominations, one of which is the right one.
szaghloul2009 2 years ago
That is man's misconception. The only TRUE Islam is following the Quran and Hadith. Simple.
People are trying to be innovate and hence perform the act of bidaa or shirk.
Look at Islam's prime fundamentals and then see the denominations and tell me I am wrong.

So now I'm an atheist again.

movieklump 2 years ago 4
I wonder, will people who have never even heard of the quran (or bible for that matter) also have to suffer eternal torment? You know like that isolated tribe that was discovered in the brazilian rain forest last year. If it was so important you would think god would have sent prophets to tell them. In fact they should already have the correct holly book in their possession. But they dont. So either god is unfair or your belief about this subject is wrong. You decide.
thenigotoffthebus 2 years ago 3
I wonder if you know that the God of Islam and the Jews and the Christians are one and the same. The one individual who unifies them all is Abraham. What about the story where he's just about to slaughter his son and then God jumps in there to rescue him at the last minute. I'd say your god is pretty arbitrary, wouldn't you say? On minute he's taking people's lives or torturing them, the next moment he's saving them. What's up with that?
TheItalix 2 years ago
It's even more repugnant... you're forgetting that it was god in the first place who ordered Abraham to slaughter his son. God then changed his mind (huh?) and stopped him. Or.. eh, well, he sent an angel to do that for him.

There is nothing magical about the Qur'an. Watch his video "Scientific miracles in the qur'an". I respect your beliefs but discussislam has done his research
TryAgain1986 2 years ago
i agree that he has done his research, but, Quran is 604 pages. he only chose certain verses and made in many cases his own interpretation. if u wanna understand Quran u have to read it yourself. make ur own understanding. There were many misinterpretations. i can provide u with some. I'm Muslim, and, i don't agree with many things which many Muslims " may " believe in, like killing innocent people, marrying 4 women, nor 2 hit a wife. because people misunderstood the verses. i have my own belief
tinything100 2 years ago
Indeed a perfect creator, the god who's all powerfull and all knowing, would write that hitting your wife is alright, and killing innocent people is just splendid.
While wanting to convey a message of understanding and peace. It makes perfect sense!
Munkatten 2 years ago
no. in Quran it doesn't say to kill innocent people. it says to fight back for your right. for your taken land. if some body takes your house against your well, are u going to say you r welcome?! regarding hitting a wife, in islam man have more superior power over his wife, if he provide her with whatever she wants, spend on her.etc... in return she must treat him good. if she doesnt he could tell that, if she doesnt listen, he can hit her, not on the face, like shake her arm not hard though.
tinything100 2 years ago
now tell me what a drunk man may do to his wife if he had an argument with her in your society???? why u have broken families?? and kids who dont know their parents...???? don't talk about a religion that u know nothing about it. people made their own explanations of religion where it match their own needs. like atheists, like u, like me...
tinything100 2 years ago
In my society, it's unacceptable for anyone to hit anyone, regardless of gender.
"in islam man have more superior power over his wife" <- Fuck that.
How is killing the unbelievers fighting to take back your land?
You talk about broken families, and yet you think it's alright for the husband to hit his wife.
Munkatten 2 years ago
Quran doesn't say to kill unbelievers. nor innocent people. the verse says. " fight them and get them out of ur land as they did to u" now what ever said after that is not mentioned in Quran.
i didn't agree on "a man hit his wife issue". i only tried to explain the issue. still, I'm Muslim. i just told u. i made my own explanation, just like u. like atheists...
tinything100 2 years ago
Actually it also says kill them wherever you find them (unbelievers).
Also that you should never have any "disbelievers" as friends.

Munkatten 2 years ago
It is regarding the time where the Jews were brutally persecuting the Muslims.
it is not referring to man in general. Do some research on this stuff before talking please?
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
What the fuck dude?
Think before you write, you make no sense.
Munkatten 2 years ago
And what part was it that did not make any sense?
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
So the rule only applies when it's muslims that want to kill jews?
I mean, that is literally what you said.
Munkatten 2 years ago
Not when they want to kill jews, when the jews were persecuting the Muslims in Islam's early days. Those verses are regarding a specific incident. Research it if you must. There is a reason and background history as to the revelation of many of the verses in the Quran. The supposed violent verses in teh Quran are not referring to mankind in general as a whole but are rather referring to specific incidents.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
So, in the koran, muslims are sometimes allowed to murder people?
Munkatten 2 years ago
*Sighs* This verse is alluding to a certain time or incident. It does not in anyway say to kill any non believer or 'infidel'. That is strictly forbidden. Rather in Surah Kafirun it is said that you must live in peace and harmony with those of other beliefs. It encourages to act civil and allow the practice of all religions in Islamic country. Unfortunately that is not in practice today.
I really with that this box did not contain a word limit. I could go in more detail..
Oh well. =/
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
Indeed you could run further away from the question by writing more useless bullcrap :3.
But why not just answer instead?
Because it makes the koran seem evil and cruel?
Munkatten 2 years ago
How was I running away with the question?
I'll answer it straight and simple. Islam forbids the instigation of war or the killing or mistreatment of non believers. I prohibits racism and it prohibits bigotry. In Islam to have love for one another is one thing that has constantly been emphasized again and again.
Those verses are AGAIN REFERRING TO AN INCIDENT OF THE JEWS. Islam gives permission to go to war but only and strictly ONLY if it is in defense as a last resort to defend your country.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
It still commands people to kill other people. How is that peacefull? All countries were once someone elses country, everyone could justify murder by your logic.
Anyways, I could pick other qoutes, like: "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolators wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
Munkatten 2 years ago
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
"Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors."
"Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves"
:3 Again and again, hate.
Munkatten 2 years ago
You aren't willing to accept it are you? It's that your mindset is so hard on believing these verses to be general to all.
'There is no compulsion in religion'
Ever look into that verse? Have you even a book ABOUT the basic fundamentals of Islam? Treating one another with is among the strongest.
It's okay though. You want answers I try to give them it all fails since you aren't willing to reason with what I said.
Islam actually forbids oppression. Disbelieve in that fact all you want sir.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
First off let me address that the English Quran is not to be taken word for word since the authentic Quran is in Arabic. Second, the places where it says that Islam promotes hate is nothing more than mere interpretation. Why weren't the Muslim's promoting hate against the disbelievers when a good portion of the world was under the rule of Islam? Why are there still Arab Christians and Jews found in the middle east by the millions?
Again misinterpretations galore.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
Well, It's quite obvious that people are by their nature good.
A good person will not initiate violence, nor will he tolerate injustice.
Accepting a holybook as the truth, and then ignoring the evil bits is far too commonplace for you not to know about it.
Munkatten 2 years ago

ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
I have met super-religious people before, they are either incredible pleasant or incredibly unpleasant.
But I'm afraid I dont follow your logic. You didnt tell me what this man did in order to strengthen your faith.
First of all, I dont believe in Jinn at all, so I dont believe he possessed them.
Secondly, if him being able to convert 5393 is a very amazing thing, but how does it relate to you in any way?
mites7 2 years ago
I am not surprised that you would be inclined to disbelieve in what I said. It does not relate to me but it is very interesting. The way he has been said to convert people is also amazing. It's really a long story.
In regards to the possession of the Jinn's story, yes they do exist. I know you think I am being delusional in this statement, but there are people out there who are able to do bizarre things with the possession of Jinns. Just go to Rivend, Lahore in Pakistan or Nizam-Muddin India.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
Actually that's one of my biggest issues.
Thank you for your kind reply.
mites7 2 years ago
I understand you reasons for not believing. I myself however was able to witness such strange anomalies. The reason we don't hear from these people is because they choose to be secluded. Islam is about being humble and not constantly striving for worldly recognition and gain. I was skeptical of the story as much as you are today since I live all the way here in Western Canada.
The Jinn do not like to intermingle with our societies. They live in a paranormal realm if you want to call it that.
ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
LOL - wow....
The supernatural don't exist. If they did we would have proof by now.
all these claims, but no proof of any kind, whatsoever - only mystics preaching and speaking of fables and self realization.
Scholars and educated people shrug off Jinn much like they shrug off any mystical mumbo jumbo from any mainly illiterate, stuck in the past people.
Islam is such a violent and hateful religion it makes me want to vomit thinking about it. Any religion really, they're all the same.

ISMASHYOUBRO 2 years ago
What about womens right? Or Apostasy? Or working for a non-muslim? Or just some damned equality?
The koran clearly states that those who believe are fundamentally different from those who dont believe. And that those who doesn't believe never will, that our hearts are closed.
Islam, like most religions, are fucked up. Clearly a divine being couldn't have written that mess. When you only have a single holy book as evidence for you beliefs, you should make sure it's not garbage.

Munkatten 2 years ago
Your concerns are common and I will address them. Expect a PM soon. I plan on clearing this up.
Your questions regarding apostasy, womens rights, and working for non-muslims are nothing short of typical and something that I would expect.
The Quran states, it but regarding those who disbelieve, it refers to those who aren't willing to see the truth despite the evidence there. AGAIN I will elaborate in the PM I plan on sending soon.
PS research the Quran some more.

All it did was reinforce my rejection of the book as something noble that Mohamed tried to write in order to save his people the Arabs, from being disorganized and hey what do you know, it worked.
mites7 2 years ago
I'm probably guessing that you're an ex-Muslim as well, 'soul searching' and somehow finding certain verses and hadiths and assuming that it possible could not be from god because what Muhammad did was objectively immoral. I respectfully ask what made you reject it?

uglyandbad: It is the only way to understand the Quran.

Q: "What did u understand about this clip?"

God said in Qur'an
"Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity." 60:8
it is obvious that we are not ordered to kill non believers, only to fight those who fight us.
MrBeego2 2 years ago 3
Sorry Hassan you missed the right things here
first of all, the Torah and Bible we have today are not the original ones, they were changed, so your funny impersonating won't fit the real books.
MrBeego2 2 years ago 2
Oh yeah, that's right. Islam is a religion of peace an tolerance...It is all about understanding the "verses" correctly...
Thank you for the information, now could you please share it with all those idiots that blow themselves to pieces for the glory of your idiotic god allah, and killing innocent people (including children... read carefully: CHILDREN) in the process?

im almost starting to feel sorry for god, after all, man created god in their image, and 1600 years ago when they wrote the bible, every one was a complete ass hole, which reflects perfectly in the beauty of the lords words.

Odd - for some reason the angel reminds me of Lucifer.... maybe THATS why he got threw out of the kingdom of heaven - asking God too many questions. Wonder when the 4th book of this interesting series will come out - I'll have to keep my eye on the fiction section of my book store for new releases :p
naughtypagan72 2 years ago 4
I think god reminbed me more of Lucifer, throwing people into the pits of hell and making it harder to accept the "truth". Would that make Lucifer god? Sacrificing himself to the pits of hell to keep the people sent there by God company? Wow... what would that make Jesus xD

I love it. I love how you can go from reading the Qaran in Arabic, to a pure monty-python God voice with so much humour in it!
You will surely burn in hell for this one, so well done and congratulations!
