@Shinaah If that was procedure it'd be even more damning of the American police force as a system. If it's not illegal for them to lie to you about it like they do in the video then that's almost as terrible too.
If you have to confront the same people responsible for the incident you're complaining about in order to make a complaint, that could very possibly be worse than not even being able to complain at all. If you can't get your complaint directly to an independent body then it's no good.

Sometimes for me to go to sleep after getting sooo wound up. The only thing that helped was the thought that were not living in a dome, we dont have this type of system and pray that we never do. Im watching this now though and I realize, we do have that here. Im just wondering if the dome has been there all alongand are we ever going to get out?

I just finished reading Stephen King's "Under The Dome" and in it a fictional town in Maine falls victim to unexplainable phenomenon when it is trapped under a glad "dome" and can't access the outside world. After 3 days, they've deputized the worst thugs in town and the town is facing militarized system of "justice" run by a corrupt power hungry psychopath. Reading this book, while it was one of King's best, I got so angry as things so unjustly happened to these people and it was hard

Write your own complaint. Sign it in front of a notary. File it at the county recorder office. File a notice of that complaint with the court identifying the page number it is recorded on at the county recorder office.
Get the cop or public official that has abused their oath of office, get their bond number (they all have one). The bond is an insurance policy that an injured party can collect on. After that the public official will not be able to hold any public office.
Don't hire a lawyer.

The point of the video isn't to try to figure out how to file a complaint against a cop.
the point is that cops are underpaid and many care more about covering their own ass than upholding the US Constitution.

@zonsb - thanks -citizens also have the write to file a written complaint with the Internal Affaires Dept. You can also send a copy this complaint to the city council. congressman, ACLU, senator, and ocal news paper editor

@unsheepled ...hmm...don't let fear intimidate you. You just have to speak clearly and follow the process. The guys in the video were obviously amateurs and not not highly educated - this is clear in their poor vocabulary. So next time anyone confronts a police officer at the police department I suggest you speak clearly. But follow the advice from the person above (zonsb).

@jfcsilicon I WORKED in the system for over a decade, saw plenty.
The Constitution was NOT followed by many ! Amateur or Pro makes no difference, POLICE are SWORN to Uphold the Constitution, and THAT is the SUPREME law of the land... not petty ordinances or codes... and least of all overblown egos.
Asking for a complaint from is not a confrontation ! They simply asked. If I'm ever in that situation I will follow zonsb's advice :)
