Absolutely brilliant, well done on the belt, although it was five years ago, but these photos are put together beautifully, what a keep sake, i love it xx
This is what I like to see. He had to stick with it for years, and actually earned his black belt. In my school we test once a year, ad only thise students who are ready get to test. We have never just handed out a belt, and for this reason when we take the kids to tournaments they crush everyone. I'm glad to see that he stuck with it and really learned the art.
You did the right thing. Took me 8 years to test for 1st degree black. When I first started training I told the instructor when I could do the splits I could execute any kicking technique. He looked at me and said, "what good are the splits if you don't have the strength to pick up your leg?" That is when my real training began. As the years rolled by and my technique became more focused and more powerful I never forgot what he said. You made the right decision to your son test once a year.
Jordan started formal training at 4 1/2 years. Got his 'Jr' Blackbelt at 12 (we only let him test once a year). Currently Jordan is training in BJJ and Muay Thai. He is now 16.
aww thats cool how young he started i started at 7 i just got my black belt and im 16. I missed a year though.
