I was the Guy on the 2 1/2" hose line in front and at 41-42 sec you have a clear veiw of me and there was no need of SCBA. Who is the ass hat who is saying use you scott pack! The helm cam clearly was viewing a group of kick ass SB City fireman on a 1 3/4", with no smoke in a defencive attack situation! you were not there dont talk shit about our safety!
@Medic9107 why would you use air if you dont need it? if its a surround and drown situation theres no need unless the smokes blowing into your face or there is way to much smoke then you need it or if its a chemical fire. in this situation we are both right it depends whats inside the building but im just saying if its a surround and drown then you dont need to unless heavy smoke conditions outside, but if its liek a chemical fire then yes you need air outside as well.
@UGSAce yeah im actually agreeing now i wasnt thinking before i said the first 2 things i wrote im sorry everyone i can see all ur point its free and it saves your ass and actually on my dept. we are required to be packed up n breathing everytime regardless the situation. thanks all for help understandign everyone i never thoguht abo-ut that but idk why i was even saying it lol ill always use a pack no matter what. Stay safe everyone
good video but the guy at 23 seconds with a video camera probably has better things to be doing than holding a video camera. Great thing about a helmet cam, your hands are free and you can get your job done
if your out side of a strucutre fire fire using a hose line u dont have to have air unless theres smoke blowing in your face if your inside you obv. need it on but outside like they are it doesnt really matter yeah u should but why waste the air if you dont need to?? great video
@WalesMe333 Toxic Fumes from all the burning materials inside the structure occupy the ambient air surrounding the structure, enjoy your cancer. SCBA or dont even bother.
Nice video, but the FF's on the hose line right out front should be on air. They have their tanks on, but they aren't on air...why they're not is beyond me. Come on guys...be smart.

@WalesMe333 Feel free to take the risk. Air is free, chemo costs money. Do you know what is burning inside those buildings?
