  • great song

  • I I I I I I I I LOVE COMPANY FLOW I LOVE COMPANY FLOW I DON'T WANNA BE AGAINST YOU GUYS I DON'T WANNA BE AGAINST YOU GUYS I WANNA BE DOWN

  • sole made 14 youtube pages to dislike this

  • Like Sole like Co Flo, and damn. this is like hearing King Arthur mutilate Lancelot's balls or sum shit, and in the most brutal and badass way possible. bangin

  • Next time you reveal your true self make sure no one records it stupid!!haha El-p just shit on sole with that line

  • Haha saw Doomtree last week and Sole opened and that was 30 min of wack shit that I could go to the local jr high school and get atleast 5 kids that could eat sole alive.

  • damn el-p fucked up sole with this track

  • sole sure as hell isnt bad.. and im sure he has some complex lyrics... but el-p still shits on him in every way

  • Now this is what u call HIPHOP!

  • Something that's always confused me about this record.

    Who records their phone calls?

Don't get me wrong, I like El-P and and Sole both, but it just seems like a weird thing to do. Whatever. I wonder if these two are still mad at each other about it?

  • @SoshoKittycat I am sure they recorded it specifically to put it on the record. I highly doubt they regularly record their phone calls.

  • Who else has a diss record where the person they are dissing is slobbing them this hard?

Linda Tripp. 2nd Round K.O. Top diss records until proven otherwise...

  • @secondbest21 dont forget Common - The bitch in Yoo. Great diss and RZA dissin his own girl on Domestic Violence Pt 2, most brutal diss ever!

  • BOMBTASTIC!!!!!! whats the name of that old ass song they sample at the end? it's driving me bananas...

  • @TIFRZ It's of Popeype

    watch?v=FEWswHtQUkc

  • due to this track El-P has to go door to door every time he moves to a new neighborhood.

  • I'm fond of Sole and El particularly when Def Jux was in their prime but, El P is so fuckin nasty with words. "I blackout in the mug of suburbanites wit little stingers crew, you volunteered for the draft stupid thats on you."

  • Gilbert grape vs. magneto. R U SERIOUS? LOL

  • @TheFlagCapturer never diss El - P. his creativity is on another level.

  • @VerballyGifted Calm down, It's just a showing of how funny it is that he could think of it, not dissing

  • @TheFlagCapturer ahhh

  • Classic.... if you dont know then.... learn your hip hop history kids.

"You wanna be on the cutting edge.. Sliced up"

"I feel like Selena the president of my fan club tried to kill me"

    sick... Eat the dick cookie!

  • Ill ass classic.. you wanna be on the cutting edge - Sliced up.

  • oh damn

  • i feel like selena the president of my fan club is trying to kill me - lol

  • This spoiled brat little young saga got a mommy bought my sampler tapes

  • Gilbert Grape against Magneto odds - its simply obvious who remained on top and who fell to the wayside....word to wise who ever challenges Co-Flow or this post

Run along and do your little interviews with your fantasy life distortion

Next time you reveal your true self make sure that no one records it

  • No offense to Sole, but El-P is the illest...

  • I don't think El-P is trying to be catching here...this is obviously personal. Couldn't imagine realizing that a song this complex and hateful was made for you if I was Sole...

  • he deserved nothing less than this track for calling el-p's beats wack... that man is the reason i got into beatmaking

  • Comment removed

  • @dmmiers You should think about the english language before you post. BITCH.

  • this whole shit is bananas

  • conbustion !!!

  • next time you reveal your true- self ,make sure no-one records it...............

    Uncle mike

  • next time you play yourself ,make sure no-one records it...............

    Uncle mike

  • dont fuck with El-P...'nuff said

  • I remember when "Dear Elpee" came out I remember thinking El-P can't come back from that. Then El-P went ahead & committed verbal homicide on this track & using Sole's voice from that phone call was just the nail in the coffin.

  • THE definitive diss record. period.

not suprised sole never stepped up to that particular mic ever again

  • In eighty-nine we called it tip-doggin; but you ain't know that rookie

Don't ever try to front like you know me or my people

By the way Vordul did I bite?

Vordul: "yea right!!--thats fantasy lie snake trife"

    (Dope Lines) 5 STARS. . .

But Hip Hop means to be brother....

Good Lyric but Bad Bad Vibes

  • @c0rry Tim Dogging not Tip Dogging

  • I like both artist, but I don't think we should raise the hatred to the artist conflicts from an old song.

I hope they are both okay with each other now. Either way, am bumping both Sole: Battlefields and El-P: EMG songs.

  • but wasn't it El-P who put out the anticon diss song first? The one starting with I'm tiny timmie holland I wanna suck your?

  • Comment removed

  • after hearin him on that phone call...next time this maggot shows his face in the rotten apple to do a show ..hes gettin greeted with a bucket full of old piss in his face

  • el-p uses a journal way to dis Sole..everything you say will be used against you ..sole, but there are many diffences between them lyrics, flow, history, labels

  • Comment removed

  • It probably would of helped Sole a lot more if he just dropped his diss track then kept quiet at least the response he would of got then wouldn't of had a career damaging phone call in it, seriously that phone call alone would of been enough to massacre him.

  • Horrible production.

  • @davidt3400 no.

  • Sole will always be more intelligent then el-p and el-p will always better at production then sole.

  • @cjcollas please explain...

  • mr. len - more like mr. ftw

  • they both talk pretty funny shit about each other and l-p won the battle .but sole has a way better intelligent flow then l-p in my opinion sole wins in the long run for being a better lyricist. this song is dope..

  • @83tonebone spell my goddamn name right next time, pussy

  • i agree! i never liked this guys flow. it sound like hes trying too hard.! OVERSELLING!!!!

  • @kers1ecm hahaha, ya, im a white boy who knows nothing. just thrown random invectives out there when you have nothing else to say after I shot down your dumb argument.so listen terd, go get a life, stop reading old comments while trying to look like some hiphop guru, because really, your just a fag. bahaha

  • @kers1ecm blah.,blah blah... heres what it is..you thought you were telling me something I didnt know..whci you didnt..I SPECIFICALLY referenced DR.OCTAGON and not just kool keith as keith's music when he was with ultramagnetic was not "space rap"..so again, for the last time you wannabe rap referee, stop reading old comments and get a life...u fucking terd! bahahaha

  • @1000rtodd how many of these lame repliesare you gonna send you lame white boy fuck off! go fuck your mom or something better yet warm her up for so i can rape your face and shit down her throat....

  • The funniest thing about this track is that they actually recorded the conversation btwn El P and Sole. Sole lost some major hood stripes with what he said. El P Bodied him!

  • Old but always cool to go back and listen to the ass beating Producto put on Sole

  • "I feel like selena, the president of my own fan club tries to kill me"LMFAO

  • Like he said on a track from Funcrusher, as I recall - "Think seriously, if you diss me, could you handle my rebuttal version."

No. He could not handle it!

  • @chriswalsh86 most MC's can't take EL-P's rebuttals. ask Esoteric.

  • Absolute Masterpiece and Instant Classic still don't do this track enough justice. Like someone before mentioned, I would have loved to have seen (recorded) Sole's reaction to this.

  • set to Bjork. that's awesome

  • The Selena line is such a classic

Quit bitching about nerd/hardcore rap, talk about the actual song if you guys want to type up words on youtube

  • @TheDanavanilla If it wasnt for the internet I bet you wouldnteven know who co flow is. You were still breast feeding when this shit came out. so stfu.

  • lmao i cant imagine that guys reaction after hearing this song for the first time

  • @grabass136

hahaha i was thinking the same thing, sole had to just have his jaw dropped during the whole song

  • "I thought you were Canibus tryin' to eat my ass" I will remember that line for the rest of my LIFE. And yes, Sole lost. Cry about it.

  • haha that sampling of bjorks hunter is genious.. ive been trying to sample that basslinje and choir and recreate/remix this beat, but it turns to shit everytime:)

    len is a genious

  • Ive always loved the led zeppelin sample

  • @garfus2 what the hell is nerd rap?

  • @shinjitsu83 NERD RAP, SPACE RAP, BACKPACK RAP = sage francais, jurrassic 5, dr. octagon etc, etc

  • @1000rtodd yea...that makes no sense. What makes nerd rap? As long as it sounds hot and the lyrics are on point then it's good rap (and you'd have to be a lobotomized monkey not to think these are good lyrics). Some rappers just like to use their brains. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @shinjitsu83 what makes no sense? I just gave examples of what nerd rap is. U prolly just started listening to hip hop, and thanks to youtube you know who the iconic underground hip hop artists are. Hey Einstein, what are nerds associated with?science, math, uhhhhh..being smart in general? Now, apply that to hip hop. Uhhhh, SPACE RAP...aka...NERD RAP.... Jurassic 5, company flow, sage francais.. they all "use their brains" compared to artists like 50 cent, etc.... stfu and think before u speak.

  • @1000rtodd no sir, been listening to hip-hop all my life. And to use a derogatory term to denote rappers who are "uhhh smart" and don't do the same tired old stuff that we've all seen before is really an insult to hip-hop. Did YOU just get into hip-hop? Because what really discredits seniority is a narrow-minded view of what hip-hop is.

I been into def jux for years and what they do is true hip-hop, and more importantly, true music at the same time. And I reiterate: listen to the lyrics!"

  • @shinjitsu83 saw el and the def jux cast about 4 times and the first was almost tn years ago. had funcrusher the week it came out. no, just didnt start listening. If you are unfamiliar with the terms space rap nerd rap and backpack rap. I doubt youve been listin to hip hop for that long. Now, Im not saying that those terms are warrented, but I will say this though, there is a reason these sub genres of hip hop were coined with the aformentioned terms.

  • @shinjitsu83 Ive also been to other hiphop sjows like, eminem, outkast,50 cent(that guy is boring)I love hip hop and Im npt one of those indier than thou pretenious hiphop kids. I like hiphop on all sides But, there is a strak contrast between the kids at a def jux show and the kids at an eminem show. IT IS quite understandable why the titles nerd rap and space rap have been given to acts like dr. octagon, co-flow,etcetc. Ydont u follow your own advice and go listen to the lyrics. Then ull know

  • @1000rtodd I still don't think it really makes much sense to call it nerd rap.I listen to all kinds of hip-hop, personally, and grew listening to Nas, Big L, Rakim, and Wu Tang just to name a few...but really, I don't see much of a stark contrast between them and Def Jux or Anticon. Except that they're different, but what two respectable artists are the same? I just think that it's terms like that that represent one of the biggest problems in hip-hop right now.

  • @1000rtodd

They're's certainly some nerdy rap out there(esp.,all of this 'hipster' stuff)but the shit that you refer to as 'nerd rap' was called hardcore back in the 70s,80s & 90s.Similarly,what's called alternative today was called 'real hip hop' in the 90s.

Today procorporate hip hop has to justify it's more-stupid-than-thou posturing which is why we have all of these empty retronym categories.

  • @thirdshift47 i never mentioned any artist from the 70's or 80's. Dr oct and co flow from the mid to late 90's yes. Eazy-e nwa death row public enemy- those artist were referred to as hardcore. Are you saying co-flow and dr. octagon made the same music as them? no

  • @1000rtodd HEY WISE GUY,YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT KNOW dr.octagon aka KOOL KEITH has been spiitin shit since he was in ultramagnetic mc's back in THE 80'S. listen to (space groove) the track was recorded in 85'. kool keith took his flows to space and back decades before the average mc get your facts straight before you try to kick knowledge.

  • @kers1ecm HEY DIPSHIT WHO LIKES TO TYPE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. I was refereing to Dr.octagon..not just Kool keith. DR. OCTAGON released his first single in '95. Yes,kool keith has been around since the 80's but you cant compare his early shit to when he became dr.octagon(it was way more scifi themed than when he was with ultramagnetic) now, go get a life, stop reading old comments, and go try to find someone else "to kick knowledge to" because you failed here..faggot.

  • @1000rtodd

thats cause kids that live in the cornfields wearing hollister go to eminem concerts. a co flow show was generally city kids that were in to graf...

  • the ending of this song with the Popeye sample and Len's scratches = NY rap perfection

  • Sole is a fucking broad and he got smashed by el, and it aint just the recording, sole tried to call el out on some shit like he bit his shit from vordul and el get vordul on the joint calling sole a fucking lying snake. thats real rap. fuck outta here with that anticon shit.

  • I like Sole's better even if he fucked himself.

  • @luwe80 Both shits are hot in their own right......

  • Haha when will people learn you don't diss El-P, he will fucking humiliate you.

  • el-p.has.to.many.punch.ins.when.he.records.he.chops.his.verses.bars.by.bars.which.is.why.idont.like.el-p.

  • if your a real underground head, you will know this guy el p got dissed

  • @infinitesound31 Even if he did get dissed he didn't lose because sole killed himself with that fone recording. EL-P Massacred Sole and thats it.

  • I think Sole's lyrics were better, but El-p killed him as soon as he taped him saying "I wanna be downnnn"

I can only imagine what went through Sole's mind when he heard this for the first time. If you take out the phone call, I think Sole gets the better of it and man, the regret of not considering they would record that call must have been immense.

  • gotta love that Bjork sample!

  • as much as i like anticon, i have to say, el-p fucking won the battle by a long shot with this track. "dear el-pee" was a fucking joke, and this is coming from somebody who has a physical copy of selling live water and doesn't even own a company flow album.

  • lol dudes arguing a decade later over this like sole didnt get his skirt lifted

  • sole took this style of his and mastered it as a joke check dear elpee i cant even listen to this thats

    jus me

  • the Olive Oil solo @ the end is what made it close just right.... who was it that dissed Co-Flow, & why?

  • Sole destroyed El-P, what the fuck are you guys talking about?

  • @Jski94 how the fuck can you say that after this intro alone despite all these verses ! " i love company flow" "i wanna be down" wat a sucka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • god this song reminds me of the fire i had in my eyes when i would see those stupid anticon stickers all over every dumb nerd whiteboy motherfuckers car back when anticon was getting big. where are they now? anticon blows dick, and el-p murdered this queer.

some more info on this whole beef: sole claimed el-p bit vordul's style, that's why he asks him mid track. so funny. sole had no chance.

  • @dschultz6072 Where are they now? Where the fuck is Def Jux? Where is El-P? That motherfucker quit and all his label mates jumped ship. Their website still lists their artists but many have already signed to new labels, example Lif to Enemy Soil. Anticon on the other hand, is larger than ever. Sole even started a new label he was doing so well. Cage is a emo rock fag and aesop didn't put out anything nice on Def Jux. So where is def jux now?

  • @irepresentfool

Kindly remove Anticon's collective cock from your slobbering gob. Hilarious that an Anticon fan would actually deride another rapper as an "emo rock fag."

  • @negativespace66 Kindly simmer down your dick riding, no one over here ever made an attempt to be fanboyish in any nature, Anticon never claimed to be hard as fuck and then switch their style to appease 16yo girls. cage once beefed with eminem for hardest white boy in the world, now he literally dresses like a 16 year old emo girl.. Have you listened to depart from me? Are you trying to say that he isn't emo rock fag? His latest release has emo rock fag written all over it.

  • @irepresentfool

Hmm, funnily enough I don't even give a shit about the majority of Def Jux. Project much, dumbfuck? No fanboyism on your end? Did you even bother to read your previous post? Read my last line again you silly cunt, where did I ever state that Cage wasn't an "emo rock fag"? The irony lies in you vomitting up that shit as an insult when the words "emo" and "fag" are pretty much synonymous with the entire Anticon collective.

  • @negativespace66 Funny enough you're a fucking idiot, cock smoke. You apparently have a sloppy wet cunt for def jux if you are responding to people's posts that talk shit about def jux.. I think you're a faggot and probably a child molester (projections). My suggestion for you is, stop sucking sooo much dick and learn to not be such a fucking faggot. Did you bother reading your posts? Dense dunny.. you're fucking dense.

  • @irepresentfool Aesop didn't put out anything nice on Def Jux? Wrong. None Shall Pass? One of my favorite albums ever. Bazooka Tooth? Those aren't nice? I think you are mistaken.

  • No matter who you think won, you have to admit that this song is fucking hilarious.

"Spell my goddamn name right next time."

    El-P FTW.

  • cool bjork sample on this track. i thought sole won on a lyrical level, the phone recording on this track was a nail in the coffin but it was dirty tactics.

  • this song is lyrical pestilence, i like sole but el-p is on some intense fucking technical shit on this track that sole will never ever fucking hang with.

  • @octagon79 i like how you said nail in a coffin (:

  • @octagon79 That's why it's called Linda Tripp..Be careful who you beef wit..but sole's song was aight..

  • el-p's use of samples on this track is sick as fuck.

  • So funny to see people still getting fired up about this one.

I say "the fans are the real winners" haha.

  • ouch.

  • I I I I LOVE COMPANY FLO I WANNA BE DOWN I I I I I I L LLLOVE CCCCCOMPANY FFFLOW ......lol he got ripped on a whole new level of intelligence....dam thats a suka

  • "This whole shit is bananas!" "In 88', We called it tip doggin', but you wouldn't know that, rookie!" Good ol' days...

  • That's sole... but what the hell are you gonna do when you are in your young 20's? 70% of us did 200% worse outside the realm of posterity. Fuck it, both of these guys are great. Sometimes we eat the bar and sometimes the bar eats us.

  • I'm loopy from the invitations from funeral glue

  • damn/that's a sucka

  • dont sound like him really...

  • its not, this shit is FAKE AND OLD

  • "i feel like selena, tha president of my fan club trying to kill me"

god, every line in this could be the killer in any other diss song. what a masterpiece, lesson learned: don't fuck with el-p.

  • IS NOT HIP-HOP ANYMORE IS DEF-JUX

  • one of the most blatant massacres in hip hop history

I admit some of soles bars were funny. "...I hear your makin a new instrumental album of sitars pots and pans" "That shits intrepid god...rippin pages out of dictionary"

But in the end el-p just dropped a steaming pile of shit on soles head and forever defined his career by this event, which i guess in effect is what P was sayin. like "yr on my dic so hard and even if i destroy you youl make more of career of my diss then you would have alone

  • "...I hear your makin a new instrumental album of sitars pots and pans"

lol yeah BUT...when your in anticon that same diss can be turned around him and his affiliates

  • indivisible, isn't *Diss and Comeups* a pretty standard part of building a rap career for some cats? maybe theyr all jealous of each others talents.

  • @IndivisiblePrinciple

    how many diss songs came?

  • this track murders sole. i dont care whether anyone agrees or not. just my personal opinion. sole got fuckin munched up hahahahaha

  • Lol. Ok. Sole won. Lol. Maybe I should phone you up. Hear how you cry you love el-p. Then make Mr Len produce a crushing beat.

  • how did sole win homeboy??? he's trippin all over the phone....he's a tool bro straight up fuck that anticon shit back then....

  • Na. I was joking he had won. Fuck Sole.

  • el-p made the beat

  • OK cool. I should have read better man, and realized your sarcasm, peace.

  • ahh fuck the haters.. sole is the boy

  • Sole the boy???????

    "I wanna be down" "I love C-flow".

Maybe your right. He's a boy. A pussyhole as well.

  • man, i can't even understand what el p's saying... sole owned this guy..

  • i agree and i saw your post on soles video hahahhaha yeah it went soles way without any fight

  • i understand el perfectly. sole lost.

  • "sole lost."

oh yeah? well.. at least sole's vinyl pieces are heavier.

  • you beamed to the wrong planet this time!

  • This has to be the best dis.....ever.

  • listen to soles diss 10x better

  • Are you guys f-ing kidding me? You guys thinks Sole dis is better? You guys come out the lady Ga Ga school of dis? Jesus christ. Even the production on the sole track is wack let alone the lyrics. You jokers. Know yourselfs before you reply your bullshit. When will El-p ever get caugght on tape crying "I love you guys", "I wanna be down"? you fools. You and that arse wipe Sole.

  • "arse wipe? f-ing?" are you kidding little kid talk your shit if your gonna talk it sole had better flow then elpee and i know sole was a little bitch to go crying but soles was better just strait up BETTER it doesnt matter how fancy your track is like elpees fuck you cant even understand what the fuck says

  • I think it does matter if the production is tight with the lyrics. That's what makes a classic. That's what made co-flow the kings they are. The crazy kings. Word up.

  • but its a beef battle not a battle to make classics and thats what we are taaaaaaaaaaalkin about yes the track is good but SOLE WON THE BATTLE END OF LINE

  • lol no he didnt.

  • eny1 who thinks the lyrical punisha even started to sweat off this beef is a fucking krab and a fuckin hater. co flow is indelible. how can motherfuckas even believe the style of coflow can be touched by a mortal.

    fuckin blasphemy

mr. len could probably kill this sole faggot on wax without so much as an afterthought.

  • 5*, Sole: "i-i-i-i-i love company flow--i love company flow

I don't wanna be against you guys--i don't wanna be against you guys

I wanna be down--i-i-i-i-i wanna be down--i-i-i-i-i wanna be down*, + *front like this isn't your voice

I'll be force to release the microcassette in it's entirety!* DAMN i wish i could see Sole's face when he first heard this! THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST DISS FOREVER, respect to El-P & the whole Defjux Label.

  • Ahmen brother.

  • El P mofo! I dare these new hiphop mainstream heads to compete with this!

  • I don't wanna be against you guys ahahahhahahaha

  • Because..."He needs me, he need me, he needs me, he needs meeeeee....CLASSIC SHIT. El-P used the samples with uncanny precision!

  • el-p ripped this dude. i remember when this shit came out. classic underground beef.

  • @MATOYOUNG word. "I feel like Selena, the president of my fan club trying to kill me." I loooovvee compannnyy floowwwwww.

  • anti-con is wack Co-Flow Crushes Everything!

  • What was the reason of beef between El-P and Sole? I'm from East Europe and I'm not understand to many verbs in this track.

  • Sole said he didn't like Company Flow on the anticon forums.

  • sole thought el-p was telling distrubutors not to carry his shit because sole dissed him on the internet somewhere... kinda stupid, actually

  • (in my opinion) It is impossible to don't like Company Flow. They are to important in hiphop development. .....

  • "In my opinion, people can't have an opposing opinion."

It's possible to dislike Company Flow, their sound is pretty abrasive and may be difficult for people used to more glossy material. However, hip hop heads have to have respect for Company Flow, they're the fucking pioneers of the underground backpackers we all love.

  • CompanyFlow78: this track is a response on Sole diss "Dear Elpee". I don't know was an excact background of that, why Sole dissed Co Flow. probably just to take attention from audience. phone conversation at the beggining is a simply Soles attempt to apologize El-P. he made himself a total prick and asskisser. pozdrowka z UK:)

  • Pozdrówka, trza było od razu pisać po naszemu :P

  • Sole felt compelled to respond due to what he misinterpreted as a diss line made on Co Flow's "End to End Burners", and because he felt that El-P was trying to blackball Sole's records from distributors, Fat Beats specifically (anticon was still mostly an idea at the time, rather than an actual company).

As for what El-P's motivation for blackballing Sole's records could have been, I have no earthly idea except for a general "El-P was a major asshole ten years ago" response.

  • End To End Burners was a genius roach motel style trap for pretentious rappers to try to come at El-P and fail.
