Let me explain what that dude didn't. If you have one of those lousy back up cd's/dvd's with one side with a metallic film or something and you scratch the upper side, chances are you are scratching the part of the cd where the information is stored. That's why you use one of those cd condom's so you can protect it.
just fuck that i got my fallout 3 damaged at the unlabled side, and it wouldnt even start. top layer though... just flawless not even a scratch... so go sell your bullcrap somewhere else >:(
Trolling heh? Well, I've been a computer engineer for 7 years and even I know that you should watch out for BOTH sides of the disc. You may have had a scratch on one side and not the other and it possibly did work.
But the TOP of the disc is where the data is located (Under the label) If you don't believe me, why do you think there is a shiny layer on the bottom of the disc with a CLEAR plastic layer OVER it?
Check for yourself, they wouldn't leave data sheets exposed like that...
