not matter which size or brand of kit tony plays, the drum and cymbals always have a great sound . it was good to see him on letterman playing along to a great jazz tune so other can see what a great talent he is. i still vote tony the finest drummer ever.

@fallingfromjupiter i saw him play on someone else's beat up old kits when he was sitting in jamming with bar bands and Tony must be both tuning them and playing them to get the sound he likes. i have also seen many drummers play top of the line drum sets and cymbals but they have no idea how to tune the drums. i do enjoy watching Tony play

Always liked how Tony plays the song. If this was Eric Moore or Bruner Jr. they would have busted into triplets over and over forcing their material into a song where it doesn't fit. Tony is the top of the food chain and all the other guys know it. Nobody's callin Tony out if they do they will be crushed.

What a great thing for the letterman show to do for drummers. When I was growing up Buddy Rich Ed Shaunessy and maybe Gene Krupa was all we got, but we got to see at least one of them almost every night after 10PM! Thanks Johnny! Carson was a drummer too!

im a drummer and i listen to a lot of different types of music and drumming styles and im not sure you can prove chris coleman is better than tony royster..hes good..but so is tony. I dont think you can prove that tony is better than chris either because they are both elite drummers...but personally i think its easier to make a case for tony being better..that last part is just my opinion
