Well, the fact that it didn't go over on its back or snap off the nose gear tells me the pilot did the soft field landing rather well.

Poor soft field technique. You have got to hold the nose wheel off until all the speed bleeds off. Expensive lesson here on what not to do!

Amen. According to their turn-out/drama one would think massive damage & injury occurred. If a 98 Olds had slid off the road & needed assistance they might not have even showed up. Attach the word airplane to an "incident" & everything changes.
