@the5aks apparently he was transported into the past; finding freiza's ancient ancestor about 1000 years ago. he fought him and transformed into a super saiyan. bardock was the first to transform into a super saiyan. chilled gave his last words to his family; telling them to beware a race called the saiyans that could transform into a being with blonde hair blue eyes, and high power levels. so being born 'legendary' / ancient tale of the super saiyan.

DBZ FOREVER !!!! Just watched this movie again yesterday (haven't seen it ina while) OMG BARDOCK IS PURE BAD-ASS (as expected) .The movie is FRICKING GREAT but it's SOOO DAMN SAD and DEPRESSING !!! . I nearly cried when bardock died at the end (R.I.P. Bardock). But yeah man "SUPERBLY EXCELLENT" VID !!!!! I CAN'T STOP WATCHIN THIS (and the song choice was PERFECT) ! . 20 out of 10 bro !! Keep up the good work !!
In my opinion, Bardock is the greatest character in DBZ. He was so fucking badass. >:)
