Because when you switch away from the current weapon, you get to perform the extra jump that hasnt been used.

It's 3 square attacks. The key is to start by hitting jump+square at the same time, then do another 2 square attacks in the air. Pause and switch during the final one.

That wasn't the one kevbew did. His was 1 jump up and 2 over. That was a SoD Leap to *pause/switch* Icarus lift/glide. Basically a modified Long Jump. The usage was new though...very nice. I've already done a full Long Jump Pre-Icarus..it almost allowed a shortcut straight to the Cerberus Cave but was just a fraction to short.

My lowlands skip with the spear was X + Square (mash) to Triangle to *pause/switch* to *unpause* to X. I think the only difference here was the glide, right?

Not just that, but the effect it has. His was purely for distance. With a longer jump you can get about 4 jumps worth..perhaps 4.5

With the Wing Glide he tagged on it is like getting 5-5.5.

Yours was about get the jump combined with a horizontal momentum (BK square/SoD square) *during the upwards arc this slows the effect to go higher/farther slightly longer* to a vertical momentum *BK L1/SoD triangle* before the pause/switch into an Icarus Lift.

They are similiar but not similiar enough to be the same even when the Icarus Wings are taken out of the equation. But if he says it was a modifaction of yours..you are still the inspiration.

Makes sense, he added some vertical momentum with the triangle hit and I was going purely for distance to get within range of the grapple. It was definitely inspired by the jump in his video though.

It did take a couple of tries to get the distance yeah but it's not too difficult. First time I saw your modified jump I didn't realise you had to attack+jump at same time to get more airtime. I kept falling short until I watched your vid really closely and noticed why.

Even with all that in mind during my Long Jump attempt at reaching the Cerberus Cave *SoD Leap+Jump to PR to pause/switch to SoD Leap+Icarus Lift* I could not reach the platform...very close but not quite enough sadly.

That would be amazing if you did clear that gap. Skip all the faff like the turning platforms and TM1. I also spent some time trying to cross it (before knowing that I had to press jump+attack) and I wasn't getting nearly close enough.

I had my knees scraping the floor of it at best..not good enough..it was sad to see that even with all we've learned..it wasn't enough to realize that little dream leap. Before knowing of the pause-switch effect I didn't bother becuase I knew I couldn't make that one.
