Made these today. So good! I used mozzarella instead of Swiss, a little extra mustard and a little less garlic. Meat was juicy instead of dry, which is usually my "beef" with turkey burgers. So mission accomplished. Thx for your video.
I made these yesterday. I did not add salt, only because I'm not a big fan of salt at all, and I was out of bread crumbs so I skipped that. However, without those two ingredients the burgers came out WONDERFUL. I made out out of the 2lbs of hamburger an after eating just one it filled me up.
I recently started making turkey burgers and I gotta say I prefer turkey over beef burgers any day,I'm gonna try some of those ingredients in my next batch of turkey burgers
I have to say very good video and very well done. I have cooked turkey burgers in past and learned few things from this video. Turkey burgers this weekend. Like the idea of adding cheese and veggies in the meat. Good stuff
@freitasex You're welcome. It was a compliment. As in "that looks so good even I want to give my ways and try that myself." It was even harder to resist making it for my niece and nephews. I had to lock myself in the room until they were done. And to top it off, they didn't know they weren't eating beef. lol. I'm a fan that's never commented before and have quite a few of your recipes in a catalog. Keep them coming!
Mmm, so nummy :) I rushed to the store to go get the stuff to get it ^_^ So very yummy, I love the cheese in it, very melty and creamy. I put alot of cheese in it :o lol Thanks bub :O
real nice also pretty healthy cuz of the coleslaw, corn, tomato, and lettuce btw isnt it kinda burnt ish when u turned it? im no expert tho lol still a very fantastic burger

@Dustin872006
That is what it is all about... take a recipe and make it your own.
Thank you so much for your GREAT comment!
freitasex 5 months ago
@Dustin872006
Oh, also you did the right thing (in my opinion) not adding bread crumbs to the beef.
Turkey has so little fat that you need the bread crumbs to absorb the fat and retain it for juiciness, otherwise turkey can be dry.
Beef typically has enough fat that if you add the bread crumbs... you end up with meatloaf burgers.

I LOVE yellow summer squash big time!
Way better than zucchini in my opinion.
5 Butternut are not very many... my grocery store has butternut 50 cents a pound so I had to buy one.

fragile and they stick in slots so I switched
to fry pan and they were Wonderful

Glad that in the end that you liked them and it turned out alright.
freitasex 2 years ago
You can do it on the grill without it sticking or breaking. just add one egg per pound of turkey meat. :)

Do you want ground beef topped with mushroom?
What I want is how you want this burger/request fixed!
freitasex 2 years ago
Um...Beef mixed with mushroom. Thanks dude. This video was awsome.
darkwatersasuke 2 years ago
I want to let you know that I will make your request, but it will be a while because I was talked into getting an indoor grill.
I don't have the money to buy a grill yet, but will in the next month I think.
Also I am really thinking of topping the burger with mushroom, but it will be sort of spectacular in my thoughts with topping it.
I have it all worked out in my head, just have to do it.
