  • Yes THAT is Steve Winwood.

Almost was the voice of Zep.

  • Is that Stevie Winwood doing the introduction? Looks very like him, and he's a wonderful musician too.

  • Dear tobacco and anti alcohol police. Please go boil your heads whilst driving around in your unnecessary 4x4 particulate depositing show pieces whilst conspiring to destroy our savings and pensions. GTFOOH!!!

  • Whats up with the trolls here whining about a cig? One of them even come back after a month to whine... unreal!

  • well now i know where David Gilmour got all his material.

  • @Scumbagization no, there' s no connection to David.....this approach is the typical Jeff Beck's way of playing...maybe Jimmy was inspired by his material...the track is fantastic

  • 0:22 = Ooohhh... More Marlboro's!!! I'll have those...

  • was this his eighties tours?

  • @professormacdeezy this is the ARMS concert

  • alright....i'm admitting my ignorance......... did pagey tour and play badass music like this?

  • This is Page, my boy and God.

  • so nice

  • Death Wish II!!

  • i d give everything i have to be him in those minutes

  • Smoking can kill you.

P.S.: Really good Chopin piece. Chopin, aahh.. Chopin... that was music,... Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, ...

  • Oh God....I just creamed about 20 times. I love Jimmy Page. Sweet :)

  • Jimmy...You steal my heart, again and again...how is that possible?

  • I dono what it is about this, maybe the light but jimmy really reminds me of the moon in this piece. <3

  • I sure don't salute that flag! :P...oh what do you know?

    8)

  • Chopin whishes he played a B-Bending tele!

frederyck couldnt tune Page's left nut to his right

  • I stand firmly behind my opinion. Page needs a studio to sound good. Listen to all the missed notes -- and then he plays a couple notes of Chopin and he's a God? hahahaha really makes me laugh. Sorry Asshole, if I ruined your cherished teeny bopper memories. hahahaha Ignoramus

  • @salutetheflag you know less than shit. If you knew shit, that would be an improvement for you.

  • @salutetheflag i actually like live versions better than studio versions. So what, if it's not played exactly the same. If it was, then that'll be boring. Feeling comes out of music, so what comes out in the moment seems just fine.

  • @salutetheflag You dude want to be noticed. Well done.

  • @salutetheflag Keith Richards is that You.. You just don't quit. Leave it alone ..........LoL

  • jimmy is the god of rock everyone should and do take notes from this man and his band the mighty led zeppelin

  • @salutetheflag have you heard Since ive been loving you from TSRTS?? once your able to play like that then maybe people will listen to you.. look up that song then put a comment on it saying he is a fake guitarist..

  • You're kiddi'n me, right? He's playing a couple of notes -- the melody of the etude -- a professional classical guitarist plays the piece in all voices, finger style. Page is so ignorant of music as was this crowd, that he doesnt know how silly he makes himself look by playing a few melodic notes. he is an embarassment to the industry. A complet fake, chump, who can only sound good in the studio where they can fix all his many mistakes.

  • @salutetheflag LOL here too. This is Blasphemy.

  • @salutetheflag jimmy page, is considered to be one the greatest guitarists to ever live. he will go dow in history. who the fuck are you to call him fake and a chump.

  • @salutetheflag Plus you don't really get it do you? I've seen couple of those classical guitarists you are refering to. Page only used a different approach to put more feeling into the melody which would not be possible if he played it full. You remind me of someone. That guy critisize everything not being perfect, he can't enjoy anything, he never truly smiles and he's got no real friends. Get your shit together.

  • @salutetheflag You clearly dont know anything of him or music. Youre a jaleous faggot who feels better on bashing on somebody else. You enjoy yourself listening to classical music, why do you watch this anyway? In theRrock, Blues and Jazz music its all about the feel and the improvisations, you cant compare that with classical guitarists who plays every note from the sheets. Show some respect for creative people and dont call someone fake or gay if you dont know him personally.

  • gorgeous!!

  • for a second i thought his guitar was smoking, sooo hawwt

  • @AJHans12 Jesus, Lord -- you ARE easy to impress, arent you?

  • @salutetheflag actually no i am not, there are sme things that just do it for me, me being a pianist, i self taught myself guitar and drums, i look for the aspects in music that are good, not the bad but i can find the bad when asked. this piece is simple yes, but the touch that page plays with is just.. well great.

  • Slash tried to be like this but no one owns the guitar and ciggie like Jimmy Page!

  • Why does this sound like Gary Moore?

  • @mrlimmysal I wonder if you mean why did Gary Moore sound like this? I love Gary soooo much...he was such a beautiful artist/guitarist. Not sure when this piece was originally recorded, but I believe Jimmy was doing this type of work before Gary was old enough to hold a guitar, or at just the right age to be a huge influence on him. Props to Gary, he made it sing and had soul like none other, but he had great influence from guys like Jimmy. Thank god we get to listen to both of them!

  • Page is a masterpiece player!!!So simple but so high.

  • He's got that sound....that Jimmy Page sound!

  • damn right there's no description available. Love you, Jimmy.

  • @NARAHmate Yes, there is a description available. Page is a pretender and a stiff fingered, sloppy playing, junky. Hell, local guys in garage in bands with enough distortion can out play Jimmie, the Gay boy, Page

  • @salutetheflag And where can I see YOU play?

  • @salutetheflag "with enough distortion", well I think he just made a decent ass out of himself... "the Gay boy", nope, he also has to prove that he's 13... alright. Also do you even know who Chopin is? or are you just a metalhead with a grudge for Led Zepplin?

  • the cig makes it all the more badass

  • @Danimal506 YeaH bAAAAAAAAAD PEOPLE ARE SMOKERS. hehehehehehehe. teenager?

  • @Danimal506 sure does, let's all get a thumbs up for long cancer!

  • @Danimal506 cigarettes don't make you badass. They give you cancer.

  • @rbauhan really.

  • @Danimal506 No it doesn't. It makes it incredibly disappointing and saddening that that was a cultural norm. Smoking is one of the most terrible things that has ever happend to humanity.

  • @turtlespameater That is pretending that EVERY smoker had no idea how harmful it is. I know full well the damage I am doing, and I don't care because I like smoking. And both of your statements are matters of opinion.

  • @BlazedBastar666 I didn't say anything about smokers not knowing how harmful it is. All I said is that it's harmful. No need to challenge it, bro.

  • @turtlespameater Alright, but should he have the right to smoke if he wants to? Also the parent comment of it being cool, is just a groundless opinion comment that didn't need to be challenged either.

And smoking is totally harmful, but so is greasy food. If Mr. Page took a bite out of a baconator before playing, and someone said "Bad ass! I love baconators, best burger ever", would you comment on obesity as a terrible health issue?

  • @BlazedBastar666 Yes, yes I would comment. Any habit that forcefully decreases one's lifespan is terrible. It's just sad that it was the cultural norm for many people to smoke back then. You should have the right to smoke, it's just terrible for you. You're not a bad person because of it, either.

  • Beautiful clear video, thank you, but why don't you describe what it is? On other videos people don't believe he's playing a Chopin piece.

It's Page covering/interpreting Chopin's Prelude In E-Minor, Op. 28, No. 4. It was listed as just "Prelude" on the setlist when it was played at the September 21, 1983 ARMS Charity Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London with the likes of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, et al. Very nice.

  • this is effin amazing

  • Deth wish2 soudtrak

  • addicted to me...

  • Jimmy Page's soul...so great
