I think the best time to shop these stores for vintage is in the weeks before Halloween...they often keep a "costume" stockpile all year. Over the years I have found several flapper dresses, an S.S. uniform, a paper Warhol Campell's soup can dress, and many other surprises off the Halloween racks.
