My little laptop does more than this entire monstrosity of a computer could do.
It's kind of scary to think what computers will do 60 years from now. They will probably generate a virtual reality that is almost indistinguishable from true reality.
Imagine where our computers will be in another 50 years. They will probably just be floating spheres of plasma that cater to your every need via brain link, or Brain Wi Fi, ahhahaa.
@PadroPadro22 They likely will still be used for studpid things by most people? like watching people slipping on sidewalks or sensless pornography.
It is getting disheartening... all this new technology developping so fast, but people are really not getting smarter... they are getting lazy intellectually and have shorter and shorter attention spans... a great many people can't even finish reading a book...
@PadroPadro22 yeahp you`re so right.... in no more than 12 years, i think there will be no more cables... everything will be wireless.. :D well just like now... there will be still ones who will use cabling but... in less than 3 decades cabling will desapear even in the inside of our devices.. could you imagine that?
The video say ENIAC was built in 1946. Construction started in May 1943 and was completed in the fall of 1945. The film with the lighted ping-pong balls was made in 1946.
It was built to compute ballistics tables for artillery for WWII but wasn't finished by the end of the war.
It's by Neumann János

@AmnAbdulla9 Well, why not imagine a 30 ton calculator that does nothing but addition.
