think back to the 50s/60s version, you know the ORIGINAL film production and actually he looks quit a lot like this....

It originally had 2 legs and was called the Ymir. Harryhausen created it for 20 million miles to earth (1956) and later it was used as the kraken in the 1981 Clash of the titans.  He does look very similar to the original.
