damn this guy was one of my favorite fighters cuz we shared the last name, and then when I actually saw him fight a few times(lol) win AND lose, I started to love to watch him.

Sucks that he retired right before a fight w/ Cotto though... I think that could have been an upset in the making, Cotto was still up and coming and wasn't as good as he is now, and I'm sure that they thought that Cotto was gonna manhandle Valenzuela just like Julio Diaz's people probably did
