@VaultMasterDBT: I don't care what you prefer. This isn't the 1950's anymore, and gay doesn't mean being jolly anymore, like in the Flintstones theme "we'll have a gay old time" .. This day in age, gay means dumb and stupid.
Um, no it doesn't. Kids just made that up and it caught on. Just because youth uses it doesn't mean it's acceptable. Don't insinuate that I am living in the 50s...believe me, I am not. You challenged my first post on the subject, so I'm not going to be quiet. Now that you choose to be cocky, I'll be the same back to you..
@VaultMasterDBT: Well I dunno what time era you're from, but as kids in the mid 80's we used this definition, was well used in the 90's.. and I still say it and I'm not a kid. So you must either be from the 50's thinking gay means being jolly, or a 10 year old who doesn't understand american dialect.
I lived in the 80s, and I mean LIVED in the 80s (read: not under a rock) and nobody in my neck of the words used "gay" to mean "stupid". I truly didn't start to hear that until the last ten years. Perhaps it was a regional thing..I am not sure. I've seen a lot of Sanford & Son..and we should be truly lucky for Norman Lear bridging the gap between the strictly-fantasy-like 50/60s TV and today's version of relevance, albeit policed by the FCC at every moment.
@VaultMasterDBT: If you are trying to challenge me on the "new politically correct" term about homos. I have been rewatching alot of old 80's sitcoms and they are absolutely hilarious and discuss topics / say things that bible thumping censors wouldn't let fly these days.
I would highly recommend Sanford & Son. i used to watch that all the time as a kid, but it is hilarious watching it now as an adult.
It is Todd Bridges but it wasnt a remix or an alternate show opening. It is supposed to be a punk rock version by Todd's band recorded after the show was canceled.
The best version of the Diff'rent Strokes theme song is the Dave Chappelle cover in the barber shop.

@VaultMasterDBT: this is gay, I hope Gary doesn't hear about this.

Not sure what you're getting at either.
Hint: I don't prefer "gay" to be used as "stupid" or "lame"..but then again, everyone has the right to freedom of speech. ;)

Right, and I didn't mislead anyone into thinking it was used on the show. I just added the track to this opening, for fun.
