  • 'Fraid not. Sounds like an iPod problem, and I'm no expert. I did this for my daughter and she didn't have the issue you describe.

  • The "transfer" route works OK for me on a windows vista computer, but weirdly the book appears directly in itunes on the ipod-- not on itunes on the computer. Overdrive syncs the book itself, which is mighty peculiar.

  • @truenogginhead - I have Vista as well and have been struggling with downloading books for the past 3 days. Does your book appear in the playlist or the audiobook file on your iPod? Mine keep appearing in the playlist, which is fine, except I can't bookmark them, so I'm starting over every time I stop the book and go back to it...... I'm ready to return my iPod and stick to my MP3 player. Do you have any helpful suggestions?? Thanks, Tracy
