Can anybody out there tell me what was on the b-side of this brilliant number?. Its something I never thought about, been too caught up just listening to this all along. So as I said anyone with info, please please tell me now. Cheers!
Listening to this, you could see where Arcadia took their music cues from, especially the instrumental break. In fact this should have been included on the remastered / expanded edition of, So red the Rose c.d. d.v.d. as a bonus track. It would have been a welcome addition, in my opinion anyway. I remember the first time hearing this track, was when I was just browsing through the tv channels one evening, and it wasnt long on. Enjoyed it immensely along with the other tracks included. Happy days
duran duran ,the group most hate for the critics of music . they make wonderful music better than the stars of today . ,mtv and vh1 hate them today . duran duran ,they are legends of music.
Why was this song never widely released ? It was only released in Japan in 1988. It NEEDS to be released in the USA and Europe. This is one of Simon's best. The lyrics and the melody are so haunting and stir all of us that go out to sea.
I saw her in the harbour in Rothsay, Isle of Bute, just down from there! Her natural hunting ground. That was before she had har 'Arnold Clarke' makeover, so she looked like she did in this video.
Thank you for posting this! I knew there was a song for DRUM but I didn't know the name of it and didn't know where to look for it. This certainly has the original Duran quality that we all loved in the 80s.
Thank you for this amazing song. There is something so special about this song! I don't have this song so this is the only place I can listen to it. Duran Duran rocks! Thank you.

This track is strangely hypnotic... I just can't stop listening, though it sounds like an Arcadia B-side.

Drum is an overgrown canoe that likes to rollover and play dead. I just hope he finally got the damn thing insured.

Wow, I've never even known this existed! Thank you for posting it.
Now that I know it exists, I have to buy it!
The music is beautiful; I can't wait to see the rest of the footage.
I guess this was Simon's way of getting back on the horse, so to speak.
Thanks for sharing!!

This is a really good effort by Simon. I would even put it with the best of Duran Duran.
