Well, inside WoW I used the registered version of FRAPS for the capture, but most of my clips were not very long. To put clips together, you can use a program such as Microsoft's Movie Maker, iMovie, or Adobe Premiere Pro. Message me if you want to talk more about it.

Love the video. Just to throw my opinion in, I think I like yours a bit more than spiff's (though don't get me wrong, they're both fantastic). I think spiff's video is a little too... violent or vicious for this song, while this one has the sweet, albeit quite deranged, feel I get from the song. Either way, I'd love to see you take on some other JoCo songs too.

Partly it has to do with Blizzard being permissive about using their graphics for videos. Jonathan Coulton releases his music under a creative commons license that lets him reserve rights to it while allowing others to use it for other projects under certain conditions. If you tried to use his music with images from Shaun of the Dead or He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the owners of those properties have the right to remove the video and/or sue you.

For this video I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a copy of the Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio. I used Adobe Premeire Pro and Adobe After Effects to help make the video. For my previous video, I used Microsoft's Movie Maker 2 which comes with XP. It's installed on the drive, but you have to look for it under Program Files and create your own shortcut.

Yep. I'd had a half-finished version (which I used almost none of), when Spiff told me he was working on one. So it got me moving and we finished close enough that we were able to release them simultaneously.

It was a lot of fun to do, and it was interesting to see how different our takes on it were.
