Election 1 and 2 are classics that fans of the crime/hong kong flicks/gangster genre's will surely enjoy.
Having watched a few of director Johnnie To's movie's over the years (Exiled, Mad Detective, Throwdown) he has always had a great eye for memorable cinematography/ scenes - but Election is surely his masterpiece.
Forget the trailers, negative comments and haters - watch this movie, and then buy it for your collection. Thanks 'election2to'! Only wish this was in native cantonese!
@FilmFan231 Johnnie To is an AMAZING filmmaker. And I agree with EVERYTHING that you are saying. Except I think "Exiled" is his Masterpiece. I LOVE Election 1 & 2. But I think "Exiled" he just out did himself!!
