I was too young to really remember this season, but I remember that indoor soccer was much more popular in the late 80s, having played a few summers or winters myself as a kid. (It was a lot of fun! And tiring!) I certainly remember watching this documentary; it's great to see it again after so many years.
Fantastic! I can't say thanks enough for sharing the video with us. Heck, in one frame you can see me, the wife and her best friend late in Game 6. Good times, my friends, good times...
@trwithers1960 - You bet! I've watched it a number of times and you can't find it anywhere. I figured at least this way it'll bring back some good memories for a lot of people - as it has for me! Good times!
THIS REALLY BROUGHT BACK SOME GREAT MEMORIES!!!!! I didn't even realize that today was the anniversary of the parade. I didn't make it but I sure as hell remember staying up late that Saturday night to see them come back from the dead. Thanks again for the post!!! I spoke with Norm Hitzges after the Rangers-Yankees Game 1 last year and told him that I was trying to find a copy of the game and we spent about 30 minutes talking about this team and series. Do you remember the radio announcer?
@buckynance -- Yeah, I remember being up late and hearing the radio announcer going bananas - with good reason. I think it's the most exciting pro-sports championship event I've ever seen. The Mavs recent victory is right up there too, but the Sidekicks thing was something out of a cliche Hollywood script - but it was real! :-)
Thanks for the upload! This is awesome. Hoping one day that FC Dallas can capture the attention of the community the way the Sidekicks did for this brief period.
@holaspacecadet - You're welcome. Yes, it was the most the city of Dallas cared about pro soccer that I can recall - except maybe when the World Cup was here.

@holaspacecadet - That would be great. For once, even Dale Hanson had to pay attention to soccer. ;-)
