  • Omg go cry ringsight somewhere else....HAF has the best pilots...you can kiss your F22,F16,F15 goodbye

  • Hellenic Air force is no fraud, I am anywhere and every where. Another one bits the dust!

  • @1337wafflezz 2

There on the tail of fighter UAE flag, you can still see it.

  • @1337wafflezz 2

United Arab Emirates a major strategic ally of the United States, military relations are very strong and there are two U.S. military bases in the UAE. UAE gave Lockheed Martin a huge sum of money against the development of F-16, thereby manufacturing F-16 Block 60.

  • I am proud to be a fighter F-16 Block 60 work for my country United Arab Emirates. Emirates is the only country in the world that owns the block 60. Because this block was made specifically for the UAE. The UAE where the financing of this project.

  • @UAExXxMAN The block 60 was supposed to be a mass export version though. I don't understand how only the UAE has it? I would've imagined more of our allies would purchase it.

  • I am a 10 year vet in the USAF. You peasant 3rd world Euro fucks and Asians couldn't fight the USAF if God was on your side. You don't have the money, tech, training, organization, experience, or the warrior ethos to match. You may want to read up on modern American and past wars. WWII The Pacific is a good start. Now stfu

  • @Warpath2198 Just think about the Legend Turks and the Famous Turkis Air Force... And write them again.

    Dont be a moron.Calm down.Remember,Nobody's perfect.

  • @nahuras The Turks suck. The USAF could smash with them with ease. Its amazing how ignorant Europeans are of American military might. No military on earth can go toe to toe with the United States my friend. You will lose every single tactical engagement.

  • @Warpath2198 We're teaching ur pilots how to fly ;) "Anatolian Eagle" Ur Air force pilots are all a big nothing...

  • I find it funny as shit that every small country claims to have the best airforce in the world. So many people crapping on saying " Oh we beat the US were so awesome our pilots are a small force but the best"

    It's becomming a cliche guys.

I think it speaks more for the American pilots that have obviously become the benchmark than the people saying they beat them.

    - An Australian.

  • @Antifaith29 Its interesting that a foreigner has finally said that lol. I have been saying it for years. Fact is the U.S. can't be beat on the tactical level, that is not American patriotism its just a fact of life. Will it change in the future? History says yes, anytime soon? No. The U.S. wasn't always a military power house, as far back as 1914 we had a military smaller than Bulgaria. Present day its also better funded per personnel than any other, not to mention its pretty big.

  • @Antifaith29 Not sure if you have been to it but Australia has a good think tank website for aircraft by RAAF pilots. Just google Air Power Australia.

  • check the response i put up, i was on the coronet for the emirates first coronet with them flying their own jets across the atlantic

  • בני זונות....כוסאמא שלכם

    מעתיקנים מסריחים

  • It's nonsense .... The F-16I Israeli Air Force

    They copied us

    Smelly bastards

  • F - 35 is a waste of money, that's the shit!

  • f-16 block is better that f-16 fighting falcon?

  • @razor11079 "Block"is like the level of the F-16 but they are all still Fighting Falcons, for example F-16A/B are from block 1 to block 20,F-16C/D are from block 25 to block 52,and those last F-16 are F-16E/D and are Block 60,this last one was originally builded for the U.A.E. air force, the differences are in the avionics, systems and engine, those humps on the sides are just for fuel, infrared systems on the nose etc...but they all are Fighting Falcons,of course 60 better than others

    Cheers!

  • @jorgemdllin owwww

  • @razor11079 haha really?

  • wow, that F-16 can fly with its gear down! amazing! (1/2 the video it seems)

  • Hellenic Air-force to US Air-force - "Bring it on" bros!

  • @aek1928

US Air force wannabe to Hellenic Air force - You have a funny name.

  • What is lethal and deadly in the skies is to see Sukhoi Su-35 flown by the real winning Hellenic(Greek) top gun pilots, very skillful with lots of testosterone fuel to go with it..

    Now that would be AWESOME.

These pilots would have the pop-rivets flying off the body and wings.

  • @aek1928 I'd like to remind you it is a training exercise key word "TRAINING". Oh and it's an AMERICAN Fighter Jet. So tone it down, you sound silly right now. Take away our jets and your pilots would be running on the ground flapping their arms. Get a Clue. USAF.

  • @aek1928 Destroyed the US Airforce? Do you by chance have any idea why you people go to Red Flag? Do you really think you go to Red Flag so a bunch of "INSTRUCTORS" can just kick the shit out of you "STUDENTS?" I really don't care who or what you think you are or know, but the United States Airforce has no equals, just seconds thirds and targets. Where do you stack up junior?????

  • @sakoshooter48 The Hellenic Air-force was invited to go to the RED FLAG. The American top guns found out after who the Masters of the skies are. Top Gun Hellenic pilots vs so called Top Gun US Pilots. You know the Tom Cruise one's in the movie. The US Air-force I'm sure were very humbled at the brutal experience given out by the Greek pilots in the crushing kill ratio Greece 18 kills to that of US 3. What you don't know is the Greek Military at all levels trains, the minds of its elite troops.

  • @aek1928 Since there are no 'Top Gun' pilots at Red Flag I'd say you haven't the foggiest idea what you are talking about. Like I stated, Red Flag and Top Gun are not competitions per se, they are classrooms where pilots go to learn. Your guys shot down instructors, good for them, thats what they are there to do. I don't understand your vehemence for students doing what you were invited there to do, learn!

  • @sakoshooter48 It was your best pilots from the US Air-force against me I was the one flying the Hellenic F-16. Are you now satisfied. I took part in the 18:3 kill ratio. So what are you try to tell me little man. That I didn't fly in the Red Flag or in the NATO exercise last month.

  • @aek1928 i doubt you truly are a greek pilot...and if you are congrats...you fought against basic f-16c models...so of course you're going to win with a superior aircraft...now go up to red flag alaska...go up against the 22's and you'll get shot down before you even know where they are at due to them having a superior weapons system and being able to quickly attain a firing solution...once again...american air force has no equals...and good luck in an air war with no tankers buddy NKAWTG

  • @dereklsept Wait my friend until we get into our far superior Russian Sukoi 35, much better than the 22's. As for red flag is was Hellenic Mirage 2005 and F-16 Block 52's against stealth bombers F-16 Block 52's and F-15 and we still won. We have very testosterone fueled pilots that really push the human capabilities when dealing with the g-forces and gutsy maneuvers. You mean that Hellenic Airfofce has no equals and they proved son.

Hellenic Air-force 2nd to none leaving all the rest for dust!

  • @aek1928 you do realize...the pilots we send to red flag...are BRAND NEW right? like fresh out of their pilot upgrade....thats like a professional soccer team with years of experience bragging about beating a college team thats not that good yet...like i said congrats...but thats red flag...what has your country done in real air wars...cause ours has an impeccable history....plus as stated before...good luck winning an air war with NO TANKERS and your 40 minute vul times

  • @dereklsept Dear American friend, it seems YOU don't realize that it was the best of USAF and the best of HAF (Hellenic Air Force) in terms of support and pilot crews. both air-forces have put out their very best pilots. Yes, we do fly American made machines but it comes down to how good a pilot is with the monster he is flying. If the planes we won you in are the planes you fly in as well imagine the Greek pilots in the more superior Sukoi-35 or 37. Greeks have a tradition of fight, that's it!

  • @aek1928 LOL okay, I'm just in the air force, have attended several red flags myself...and ill tell you right now, that a bunch of first lieutenants and new captains fresh out of UPT are not the best the air force has to offer by a long shot...red flag is used as a learning experience for them...simple as that...we invite other countries so we can share certain tactics and get a broader spectrum of a total air war...so think what you will, I'm talking from intimate experience though

  • @dereklsept Ok, congratulations if you just joined your country's air-force. Wish you all the best. You would be most welcome to get some real experience in the Aegean sea. We train the Turks almost on a daily bases. We are so good at what we do that there are no air force that can match us. That includes NATO, US and Russian pilots of which are all top guns. We won the best at what the US Air-force had to bring out. The lesson mistakes made are to the benefit of the US air-force.

  • @aek1928

stop beeing funny, nobody can beat TuAF in a air to air war

  • @ceko1907 The U.S. would smash the Turks easily LOL. What are you crazy?

  • Comment removed

  • @aek1928 Uhh no you didn't. Your bias news likes to tell you that. Every time other nations go up against our best pilots they lose.

  • @dereklsept Isn't Red Flag designed to give the fighter pilot his first ten missions? Me thinks this other guy has his story a little mixed up.

  • @dereklsept I was in the Air Force for 10 years, been to Red Flag about 5 times as a mechanic. These insecure idiot foreigners are uneducated at best and their bias media will flat out lie to boost their morale. If we send some podunk Air Guard unit to a foreign nation on a friendship exercise, that host nation will be like "OMG we defeated the best the USAF could ever throw at us!" Play it ALL day on the news.

  • @aek1928 lol SU-35 is not better than a F-22 and you don't even have a real one. Your SU-35 is an export model! The F-22 shits on the overly big Mig-29 you call a SU-35

  • @Warpath2198 It doesn't matter Greek pilots will be flying them and you should know my American friend that we are the masters of the skies and you are the students see the red flas kill ratio between Hellenic Airforce and US Airforce kill ratio 18:3 and that included stealth bomber cleaned up by Hellenic F-16 block+52. Go talk to some one else friend!

  • @aek1928 >" It was your best pilots from the US Air-force against me"

LOL, you're stacking "your best" vs AGRS Instructor Aircrews doing "their best" ---- "to simulate the tactics and capabilities of opposing air forces"? You "won" against F-16s and F-15s playing as inferior MiG-21s, 29s, and old Su-27s, with inferior radar and no AWACs to round the package.

Congratulations on winning against the best RUSSIA had to offer in Las Vegas, lol.

  • @RingSight91 It looks like your bleeding man! We whipped ass! So I will now allow you to put your tail between your legs like a dog does, running away so as to lick its wounds. Hellenic Airforce second to none leaving the rest for dust. Time now to take on India! teach them a lesson too.

  • @aek1928 You can't even spell Hellenic Air Force correctly or even live in Greece for that matter and yet you claim to be a Hellenic Airman who was in Red Flag, lol! Now I know you're lying.

If you were there, tell me which VOQ of the Nellis Inns were you billeted in and what is the Call Sign of the Red Flag overall exercise commander then? I know all three VOQ buildings and can easily check the exercise mission roster so choose your bullshit carefully.

  • @RingSight91 I cant spell Hellenic Air Force, your on drugs! I don't live in Greece! You must be on some heavy shit! Your not a Hellenic Airman! Your wasted with stupidity. We Hellenic Air Force came and conquered, Red Flag and NATO 2011. We fear no body no one. I will no longer waste my time with inferior complexity such as yourself. Take the brutal lessons given by us Greek pilots and ground crew and stop cutting down the tall poppy's! Live and learn.

  • @aek1928 LOL! Considering YOU were the VISITORS to the Training Events, it was YOU who learned such "lessons". You are the student, WE are the teachers. Neither Greece or NATO has the training resources or area that can match what is offered in the Ranges of Nellis AFB and the skills of the USAF Weapons School.

I knew you couldn't answer because YOU ARE A FRAUD! Troll elsewhere cabron!

  • @RingSight91 KILL RATIO 18:3 is NO FRAUD son, so you just keep on licking those wounds! Next time you may come face us with Sukoi - 35's. It will be kids play, we will turn you inside out and back to front. Mean time learn from the brutal lessons given out to you boys. Your Top - Gun pilot is Tom Cruise. HA HA HA!

  • @aek1928 Listen kid I'm not wasting any more time I have to go out and fly good luck hope you become a fighter pilot and a good one. Hope to see you in Greece sometime and make it your goal to see if you can kick our ass. Highly unlikely, only if we show you how!

  • @aek1928 You ARE a FRAUD. YouTube has your location in effing AUSTRALIA cabron. WTF is a "Greek pilot" doing in Oz to troll in YouTube? Either you can't lie to YouTube's severs and actually are in Oz, or you're in Greece and pretending to be in Oz. In which case you would be CRAZY then!

The Aggressors flew like Turks, not like Americans, which would be the point. TO DELIVER TRAINING you moron.

  • @sakoshooter48 Oh yeah just forgot to mention the fact that in April just last month, The Hellenic Air-force came out winners yet again in the NATO Military exercises destroying all, yes you read correct all other NATO air-forces including yet again the US air-force. Furthermore my American Friend the top gun pilot to come out of the NATO Military exercises was yet again the Greek pilot third time in a row as voted by other peer NATO pilots. You see I don't talk rubbish. Just the facts.

  • @sakoshooter48 Well my American friend in response to your statement "United States Airforce has no equals, just seconds thirds and targets. Where do you stack up junior?????" The answer that I will respond to you with is based on objective evidence. The Greek to US kill ratio of 18:3 receptively tells us that the US Air-force whom you claim has no equals were dead set "killed targets". So the conclusion drawn is the Greeks have no equals, and you are all talk, barking dog with no bite. Hellenic

  • tell me... how many wars have the greeks been in since the start of the 1900's though... um, NONE! Who cares about kill ratio, you sound like some fuckin 10 year old thats obsessed with call of duty. Until the day comes where the Greeks win their own war by themselves in the modern era there will be no equal to the U.S. Airforce, or the U.S. Navy.

  • @FeelinGipper Battle with the Chinese Army at Hill 489 Korean War when the US, French little boys could not take the Hill, the Greeks took on the case and slaughtered the Chinese In recognition of this fact Individual Greeks received 6 U.S. Distinguished Service Crosses, 32 Silver Stars,110 Bronze Stars.

No go and lick your wounds we are GREEKS FEAR NO ONE, DEATH FEARS US!

  • @FeelinGipper Go to YOUTUBE type this heading: Outpost Harry, Korean War. The Veterans.

See and listen to what you US veterans have to say about the ordinary Greek soldier. Then from here you can only imagine what the Elite Hellenic Special Forces are like.

  • Im not talking about the special forces, im talking about the airforce's, and the navy's. so tell me... how many wars have the greeks won since the start of the 1900's hmmmm? NONE? I think yes. I think your at a loss he sonny. There's no match for any of the U.S. military force's.

  • @FeelinGipper If you can not comprehend what Ive said then its your problem not mine. I'm finished with you son.

  • your just at a loss cuz you know there's no comparison to the U.S. militay so good day to you sir...

  • how good a plane!!

I would love to drive Mig23

  • how good a plane!!

  • @pandam30 we don't hate jews we hate zionist. because if we muslims say jews are the bad guys, then is like saying islam are terrorist. is the zionism we hate brother

  • Those conformed fuel tanks are really ugly. In the othr hand, the Block 60 is pretty nice.

  • @Stover36 I my eyes they look like some muscles grown in the past 25 years the F16 is operating!

But seriously, it's looks more angry than the previous F16. Or it's just me being obsessed by F16's?

  • @F16AirPower Now that you mention it, the triangle formed by the two CFTs and the jet intake make it look kinda angry.

  • please tell me what country is ordering F16 now aday? while Su30 are sold to countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, India, china and other African countries.

  • it looks heavier than other F-16`s!

  • No offense to the pilots here, but I think drones will outclass any human-piloted designed fighter in 10 years. The shift in air combat will be revolutionary.

Eurofighter/F22 planes will be for pure flying enthusiasts.

  • @nostanza drones are controled by satelites. shoot down the satelite and the drones are ineffective!

  • @mrcharles007 good point. but i just can't see drones not being able to outperform piloted aircraft soon... all the avionics, power that can be packed into a smaller platform - maybe eventually having good enough AI to operate independently but yeah, it's a ways off... and the F16 block 60 looks awesome, no doubt.

  • F16 was , yes was a great plane, but outdated after the Gulf war. America is trying to selling all these 4000 second hands F16 with a new paint jobs to many second rate air force of the world. so far it didn't do very well as the Sukoi 27 series are better and cheaper alternative. I think the F16 should be used for target practices for F22.

  • @powerofthroughts are you serious? The F-16 E/F is as good as any modern fighter and can easily deal with the MIG 29 which is a 2 engine craft that has problems dealing with a single engine aircraft. This says a ton about the F-16. With its avionics and radar is still one of the most lethal planes in the air. If you put the MATV's engine on it it would destroy the Su-27 easily.

  • @powerofthroughts The eurofighter is not better then a f-16 block 52+ if you think it is your a moron!! And still today it's the only plane that has prvoen itself in combat!!

  • @00samir00 A heads up for you mate, the Eurofighter is the onlyt aircraft in the world that can perform 6-g maneuvers at supersonic speeds and also keep a max-g load on the airframe continuously, which the F-16 can't do. The combat ability of the Eurofighter far exceeds the F-16 as well because of the systems onboard, which are far superior than any other aircracft in service today. You're not ignorant, just lacking obvious information.

  • @TeutonicKnight39 It's correct what your claiming, but still, If it would come on a US vs Europe Airforce..US has better Airplanes without a doubt, but The American pilots are more experienced and hav more flight hours compare to there European pilots. It's not always about the machine it's the pods RGM, AMRAMM, MTP, etc etc And let's not even compare airfighters. The F-16 block 52+ Can't do acrobatics your right lol, It only kicks ass!!

  • @00samir00 Eurofighter is better. I also saw a doc re. the Rafel. In mock training/fight they won 80% of the engagements with f16 and f18s....and they did not use their special sensor /radar which would have given them a further advantage. F22 is the best on paper- that is the US advantage.

  • @TeutonicKnight39 with a full payload the F-16 can pull 7 g's. The MiG-29 is only capable of 4 g's with a full payload and will destroy its airframe. At 60% fuel and payload the MiG-29 is good for 7 g's and the F-16 is pulling 9. While doing dogfights is great with nothing on the wing it is forgets these points. The EF is not pulling 9 g's with a full payload. The F-16 is capable of sustained 9g maneuvers and is able to safely go up to 10.3g's without damaging the airframe with 60% payload.

  • @00samir00 your wrong on the EF

  • @powerofthroughts I'm sorry buddy, but F-16s (up to D) are roughly half the pice of the Su-27 and much cheaper and easier to operate. This is the reason why less than 800 Su-27s were built and sold while around 5,000 F-16s have been sold. The U.S. has no problem finding customers for the F-16 making it the most widely exported military aircraft in the world today. You should check your facts and figures next time. And far as the F-22 goes, everything is target practice for the Raptor. ;)

  • now can figh with the land gear down????

  • im not an f16 expert but were their som slight changes to the f16 sin this vid. cosmetic changes?

  • @shawnwade351 Yes there are conformal fuel tanks above the wings on both sides of the fuselage, a dorsal spine compartment (behind cockpit going to the tail) for more avionics. And I think a new Laser targeting pod under the engine intake.

  • The categories of products manufactured by the company include small arms, mortars, cannons, weapon systems, missile systems, external loads for aircraft (MIRAGE & F-16), medium- and large-calibre ammunition, propelling powders and harges, reinforced plastics, military uniforms, work clothing, body armour, cartridge case cups, blank euro coins and, finally, commercial products. HDS has gained a reputation at home and abroad for high-quality, highly reliable products.

  • @skateboy159, those are conformal fuel tanks.

  • On 8 October 1996, 7 months after the escalation over Imia/Kardak a Greek Mirage 2000 fired an R550 Magic and shot down a Turkish F-16D[10] over the Aegean Sea. The Turkish government claims was on a training mission north of the Greek island of Samos, close to the Turkish mainland. The Turkish pilot died, while the co-pilot ejected and was rescued by Greek force... ITS OBVIOUS WHAT WIL HAPPEN SOON

  • @JIMY45GR Zuhahahaha .. You made my night mate... probably mighty Greeks shot down all fleet of 4 F-16s.. haa? That was a collision and revenge taken soon after by forcing a Greek fighter to swim in Aegean waters. That pilot's body delivered to Greeks by Turkish Navy. This was the whole story.

  • why is the sides on top of the f16 bigger then other f16s

  • the greek f-16 52+ is the best because fling by the best pilots.beware at your six for the greeks......

  • @avalant7 etsi re ellada..!!!!!!!

  • They just need to go with the XL cranked-arrow wing abd get all that capacity and then some. Toss in the F-22 engine and watch them sell like cold hummus in the desert.

  • The F16IN Super Viper is a unique new fighter sharing a heritage with the only fifth generation fighters – the F35 Lightening II and the F22 Raptor. Evolutionary integration of fifth generation technologies supports the claim that the Super Viper is the most advanced fourth generation fighter in the world today. This Ultimate Fourth Generation Fighter meets or exceeds all of India’s MMRCA requirements and as per the OEM, is absolutely the right choice for the Indian Air Force (IAF).

  • There is another advance F-16 it is called F-16E/F Block 70 Super Viper. The Lockheed Martin put F-16E/F Block 70 Super Viper in Indian MMRCA.

  • War!! tchan tchan! War!-hundreds of billions

Oil Spill Gulf of Mexico -few millions

    What is more important?

    Of course is WAR!!!

  • The best blocks! 52+, 52 advanced and block 60!

  • Kuwait had a decent Air Force too....yet still over-run in a matter of hours.

The UAE is so small that once it's air space is violated....the bombs will be raining down within seconds anyhow.

Check a map of the Persian Gulf area to understand this...

The F-16 is about as useful to them as the rest of their Lambo's and

    Ferrari's.

  • show us weapons use-firing -release!

    for the H.A.F!! hail bl-60!

  • Why does such a small country need such advanced and expensive weapons? Obviously they're getting armed against Iran...

  • no they aint

    they never use their F16

they just want it for air show, if they had real wars they could not even pay an entire project for the block 60

    the USA protects them

this block 60 is not much different than the block 52

turkey with their 200 f16,s can easily take down these 100 block 60

turkish pilots have more skills, the UAE never went through war with their army airforce

  • Well, I hope you're right.

  • well yeh, turkey will never have war with UAE so we,re safe

  • Comment removed

  • @turkaskeri0 2:50 they can't do a good landing

  • @Valy18

the UAE uses their f16,s for airshow

they don,t got any skills with bombing , or dogfights

the USA has a camp with some F15,s to protect them

  • @turkaskeri0 2:50 they can't do a good landing

  • @TURKKNCL why does turkey need such an air force? u r afraid of who?

  • @sixameleon

Russia and Georgia just had a war. You know USA had to enter Iraq and probably now thinks to bomb Iran. And Turkey repeatedly entered Iraq to hunt the terrorists. And Syria was our ex-enemy since they were backing PKK terrorists. Armenia still refuses to recognize Turkey's borders and in 70's they had a terrorist movement that killed many Turkish diplomats. As you can understand, we live in a trouble region with trouble neighbours.

And plus, Turks have always been a warrior nation.

  • @TURKKNCL ever thought that tr is the problem?

  • @sixameleon

Ever thought you haven't been able to a problem since WW2?

  • sorry i've been hiding in a cave for a quite some time..

just wondering what is the advancement of the f-16 block 60?

is it primarily the electronics, radar sort off?

  • bigger fuel tanks, modern cockpit display, new radar, all that bullshit you know now much difference than an Block 52

the UAE just likes to show off their modern shit

  • I think Arabs should move towards home production for Fighter jets , Saudis trying to get home production for typhoon really makes me happy.

We are Developing JF-17 Thunder Block 1 at home on a ratio of 55% and eventually it will go upto 90% when we will hit Block II and Block III.

FC-20 or J-10 /B is also on offer to Pakistan air force with Transfer of technology or transfer of production technology.

UAE should get TOPT for Rafale.

  • the most powerful fighter is f15 HAHAHAHAHA

  • why dont they put TVT on f:16.

  • PW/F-110 does not come with TVC , we are trying to put TVC on J-10B with chinese together on ws-10A.

If a success that would be a benchmark for Pakistan air force.

  • ws-10A i heard its not enough capable for j:10B ???

  • If India don't want F-16IN Super Viper Block 70. We could help UAE F-16 block 60 upgrade to Super Viper block 70. The F-16 Block 70 AESA radar the AN/APG-80 used 5th Gen. Stealth avionics from F-22 & F-35 making the F-16 most powerful 4.5 Generation aircraft. Also it would be good we sell F-15SE Silent Eagle to UAE air force making the most powerful Arab air force in the middle east.

  • the eurofigter is the most powerful 4.5 generation aircraft^^

  • Still going strong! All hail the Viper.

  • The next version should incorporate #-D thrust Vectoring, EOTS, HMD's The DSI inlet, almost aa from the JSF program

  • no need thrust vectoring mate, all you need is JHMCS n off-boresight short range AAM's like AIM9X n IRIS-T n you gonna a dangerous foe in a dogfight, same reason why F35 doesnt come wit thrust vectoring, why, coz it comes wit AIM-9X n a JHMCS,wit this, you dont need thrust vectoring to match another thrust vectoring jet,non-vectoring jets wit off-boresight capable AAM's n JHMCS will match a thrust vectoring jet anyday,so you dont actually need thrust vectoring.

  • That's right. Now all of those stories about how we got crushed by the Indians and Israelis and Germans(flying ex-East German mig-29s) in dogfight exercises will be a thing of the past with the JHMCS and aim-9x in service. We won't be at a massive disadvantage anymore in dogfights when facing planes with aa-11 type missiles and helmet cueing systems. Now we are at least equal. The long range kill is still best, however. Dogfighting is now mutual suicide if u don't see and shoot first.

  • DEBE SER UNA BESTIA ESE CAZA

  • Are you familiar with the term soft kill? If the intent is to clear air space for the strike forces to get through, then keeping enemy fighters away is a mission success. The same is true with SEAD. If you can force enemy SAMs to shut down, then you've achieved your objective.

  • yeah no missiles av reach mig25 coz..guess what..mig25 ran like a pussy, dont you know f15 combat record is 104 wins-0 losses, some o f15 air victory were against mig25 n the mig29,nice how you brag saying f15 missiles didnt reach the mig25,but you forgot that the mig25 ran like a pussy from f15,russian train serbian pilots that flown mig29 in nato bombing o serbia in 99 engage f15's,f15's ended up fuck the serbian mig29's..hehehehe..

  • @fmoa 'ran like a pussy'? Mate, this is not Falcon 4.0 Allied Force. The mig-25s in the Gulf war were up against superior fighters and numbers. The mig-25s were using hit and run tactics. The missiles on the mig-25s were way inferior to the ones on the F-15s. The serb mig-29s were the older versions of mig-29 without BVR capability. They all got shot down in BVR combat.

  • and we were outnumbered by a 40:1 margin, any time our Mig's take off, there were missiles going at them. USAF are a bunch of pussies!

  • Russian / PLA Low Band Surveillance Radars from Air Power Australia

  • You may want to take anything coming from Carlo Kopp with a grain of salt.

  • How much does it cost the block 60?

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone have some reliable sources about the unit cost of the f-16e?

once i read something about 90m $ and another time something about 26m$. if it really costs only 26m than this baby should be on the wishlist of every air force. completely outperforms all previous versions and would be much cheaper than the competition. the f-35 would perhaps outperform it but it is much more expensive and still needs some years after introduction to get rid of some inevitable design flaws.

  • Greece doesn't have Block 60..Greece has Block 52..Block 52 look same from outside like Block 60 but avionics are not the same...

  • the right description is "F-16 Block 52+".

  • the only difference is the AESA radar the block 60 has!

  • I want to see turkey's 1 million soldiers trying to cross the aegean with the greek navy raping them like it always did, and all the islands operating as unsinkable aircraft carriers...

Yeah.. good luck bombing rocks 5 miles off your coasts cause that's the closest you're getting :S

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • F16 Blk 60+ (and 70)...a true Mig killer.

  • there's not a block 70... 60 is the newest f-16 made..

  • I thought Israel's F-16I or Sufa is coded as Block 70 - because it is made with Israeli systems to be customized to Israeli needs. Correct me if I am wrong. Block 60 is what was delivered to UAE, wasn't it?

  • currently the UAE are the only ones with block 60 jets. they are trying to sell them to india. the whole block 60 program was funded by the UAE. the Israeli jet is a block 52 + with new engine and avionics plus the conformal fuel tanks.

  • The MiG-31 Foxhound . It is equipped with two D-30F6 turbofan two-shaft engines with a common afterburner and a variable supersonic nozzle, which allow the aircraft to fly at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 2.83.The interceptor also features unique air-to-air missiles capable of hitting targets at ranges exceeding 200 kilometers (125 miles), including aircraft with stealth capabilities, cruise missiles, and supersonic aircraft.

  • the mig-31 is an interceptor as you said. good for protecting huge landmasses (like russia) against enemy strategic bombers. i would never ever send a mig-31 in a dogfight with a f-16! though i think that russia is trying to rebuild some as strike-aircraft similar to the f-15E. would be interesting to see how its gonna be since there are vry few countries who need or can afford a pure interceptor like the mig-31

  • Mig31 don't need dogfight, Mig can dystroy any plane from distance 160 km + with missile 12G+ end sped 3500km+

  • Saying a Mig 31 doesn't need to dogfight is the same as the US Navy saying the F-4 wouldn't need to dogfight during Vietnam. There's no such thing as "no such thing". Also, Sukhoi > Mikoyan-Gurevich

  • this is nonsense. even in todays world fighters need to be able to dogfight. engagement ranges have steadily increased in the past decades. now in a modern day scenario a fighter even needs to have BVR capability. still dogfights occur and dont forget that even BVR capable f-16 can engage the mig-31 itself from such ranges with the AMRAAM. the mig-31 is what it is: an excellent interceptor but using it as a fighter would be wasting ressources because there are cheaper alternatives for its role.

  • f-16 can engage the mig-31 itself from such ranges with the AMRAAM........you are yoking? whit US made a/a missile against MIG or any Russian planes made after 2004

  • the AIM-120-D is said to have a 50% greater range as the AIM120-C-7 which already has a range of 100+ km.

by the way these are the ranges of the missiles. its pure nonsense to engage another fighter at the maximum range of your missile because the enemy can easily evade it or fly out of its range. the missile would run out of fuel before reaching the other plane. thats why there arent many encounters at 100+ km. besides what are you trying to prove? a mig-31 costs 60 m $ an f-16C about 20 m $.

  • AIM-120-D is said to have a 50% greater range as the AIM120-C-7....only in theory, real live for US a/a missile is 30 km MAX from target lake MIG-29.MIG-31,SU27 -35. reason US missile lousing power after 40-60km. the best Russia missile is the same after 160km +.

  • Even the AIM-120C5 has a range greater than 105km. The C7 has an even longer range than that, and the D has 50% longer than the C7(i.e. in the 180-200km class). What's more important is the size of the NEZ, and this is dependant on the launch aircraft's altitude/speed vs. target altitude/speed, and whether it's a head on vs. tail shot, etc....

By the way, which operational Russian missile is currently Ramjet powered?

  • AIM-120C5 has a range greater than 105km. The C7 has an even longer range than that,,yes but not on full engine power end speed. sukces #1 on air combat is kinematc speed. russian missile 6000km/h end 12G

  • Solid Rocket Engines have one engine power. My SM3 can fly at over 11,000km/h btw.

(about as realistic as K-172 which isn't in service).

  • SM3 is not A/A missile.. K-172 is in service from 2005-6

  • The longest range missile in operational service with the Russian Air Force is the R-27RE. The R-77AE variant still hasn't entered service, which will give the capability of long range without the launch aircraft having to illuminate the target.

  • R-77AE variant still hasn't entered service. ...from 2006 in service abolut 500 missiles.

    KS-172 obout 400 missiles.

  • What's the source for this?

  • Seeing as how you've referred to Australian Air Power-

    Novator RVV-L / R-172 / K-100

Like the R-37, the R-172 was developed as an 'AWACS killer'. Two configurations are known, with and without a booster pack. With the booster the missile is CLAIMED to achieve a range of 215 NMI, without 160 NMI. Cited seeker performance is similar to the R-37.

While the R-172 is LESS MATURE than the R-37, India has recently negotiated an arrangement to fund final DEVELOPMENT and licence produce the weapon.

  • The Novator bureau, better known for the S-300V/SA-12 Gladiator/Giant long range SAMs and the 3M-54/SS-N-27 Sizzler cruise missile, soon followed with a competing proposal for the R-172 (formerly KS-172) AAM-L very long range missile

  • It's still not operational though, and even if and when it is, its main purpose is AWACS/ISR assets, like the R-37. For anti-fighter purposes the R-27/77 are the missiles of choice because you can carry a useful load of them, and engage at realistic distances. Neither the R-37 or R-172(R-100) will be engaging maneuvering targets at 400km from the launch aircraft, especially those with low RCS.
