  • How do you make those rolling shots?

  • What category would the orangatang 70mm 86a stimulus?

  • @redsox9623 the terrible category. there are so many better wheels.

  • hey what borad is that green one in the back on the board rack, right down the bottom

  • @MrRyansgaming I dont know about you but I like stims cuz they are more controlled than some of the other wheels.

  • how is this a clinic? it doesnt show you how to take care of your wheels, its just telling you what wheels do what

  • @Unrealisticname you dont know jack shit about longboarding. otangs are the best freeride wheels around and the purple and yellow are incredibly smooth. ur probably doing slides at 5 mph, go faster and theyll feel amazing

  • @abelbeans You're insane......

  • @abelbeans I LOL'D

  • Abec 11 freerides 81a. Need i say anymore?

  • I plan on doing alot of cruising, alot of sliding, some downhill, and alot of freestyle. What wheel should I get, keeping in mind I want to get a 75 mm wheel.

  • @nathanielkowal get an smaller wheel like 70mm for freestyle cause they are lighter and smoother for freeride as well as more accceleration when cruising

  • i need slide but i want some grip for when im on corners i dont know what to get, too many choices and i dont have money to try them all out

  • i dont understand. it said that the higher the number the harder the wheel is. and isnt it if the wheel is harder they are for free riding? so why are the strictly freeride wheels such a low number?

  • @COCruisers because they are rounded lip they are kinda like a skate board wheel which doesnt have alot of surface area like a racing wheel. so you could have a 84 mm 84a wheel that loooks like it should be used for racing but is perfect for sliding. then you have like a 74 mm 76a that looks like it should be used for sliding but looks like it can be used for racing if u undestand where im coming from?

  • that cloud ride slide wheel stole fireball's wheel shape to the EXACT.. pretty much

  • Abec 11 payed them to put like all of their wheels in their and keep most otangs out ;)

  • the cloud ride slaught kinda looks like the fireball beast

  • For a beginner which decks wheels etc should I get?

  • Comment removed

  • @kitecc For a deck iwould recomend the Loaded Dervish because it is literaly an all around board. you can freestyle, slide, freeride, and even some DH. for trucks i would say Paris 180's because the dervish is made around paris trucks. For wheels, cruising/carving: ABEC 11 big zigs pink 77a. Freeride: ABEC 11 flashbacks 78a or 81a depending on your weight. Bearings: bones reds, fast, cheap, easy to maintain if you have any questions send me a message im happy to help!! :)

  • @longboardNW Please go hang yourself @kitecc Get a Comet Voodoo if you want a do it all board, Loaded is horrible, all flex decks are the opposite of do it all boards camber is stupid and all loaded boards have no concave, paris trucks bend as easy as a straw if you plan on doing any type of early grabs, GET CALIBERS FREAKING TRUST ME DONT LOOK BACK, but he was right about wheels abec 11 flashbacks 75a perfection good grip good slip

  • classic zigs are amazing in the "dont know" section. faster acceleration..

  • are the o-tang in heat wheels good for sliding when they are 86 a duro?

  • @boardsandbars No, if you MUST get o'tang wheels get 80a. The 83a and 86a slide like a jackhammer, are noisy as fuck, and grip about as hard as a bar of wet soap.

  • @Unrealisticname I bought O'tang wheels as a noob, and then hated them, and then...started to love them again. It's all about the wear. After about 3mm of wear, my 83a stimuli slide and slide and slide. And grip pretty hard. I agree through that there are better wheels around. Raceforms and abec11 wheels. FTW

  • @xkjzix Meh,i hated my 83a stims all the way to the core. I tried 86a stims once on a friend of a friends board and honestly, i would rather slide 80a reflex centrax. I do however enjoy 80a 4prez for technical DH races. They drift nice, and grip good as well. That beings said though, i would much prefer a nersh, venom, or abec 11 wheel. Oh, and not to jump on the hype train, but after trying RAD protos briefly, i am EXTREMELY eager to buy some.

  • @Unrealisticname Interesting. I agree with you on the 86a formula. It blows hard. My bro bought me some 86a in heats (he knows nothing) and they are gross to slide on and only grip on really really smooth pavement. I'd like to try out the new baluts. I think the orange ones have potential. BTW have you ridden the cult DH wheel? I'm thinking about it....

  • @xkjzix Ive used every cult wheel except the converter for a bit. My favorites are the Death ray, and traction beam. They make a few "DH" wheels though, so i don't know which you're asking about.....As for the baluts, they changed the formula so that the large core + small thane depth wouldn't allow you to core the wheel in 3 slides, so i am open to trying the 80a version. All un-biased reviews i've heard were in fact positive.

  • @wmalongboarding centerset abec 11 freerides probably close to 81a. Even if they are sideset, abec 11 flashbacks are pretty nice in 81a and they are a lot cheaper. It doesn't make sense cuz they are sideset but I have heard they ware evenly so you won't have to flip em

  • @Goranohan cuz they both are some of the most popular freeriding wheels. Especially the stimulus.

  • sicck job

  • I didn't see zombie hawgs, or stimulus

  • @Sjanetsky1 Well, yeah, why?

  • @Sjanetsky1 thats because stimulus suck balls

  • @Sjanetsky1 because they are over-rated and un-durable

  • @Sjanetsky1 Exactly.

  • @Sjanetsky1

We're waiting for those new wheels to get in stock(Baluts and Mini zombies). Keep in mind that DB is a somewhat small shop and we cannot necessarily stock every wheel out there. If we see enough interest in something we might consider stocking it in the future. Let us know!

    -Nick

  • @Sjanetsky1 Cuz stimulus are shit, zombie hawgs are alright though.

  • @1pinosos1 Stims are super awesome and buttery. I use the 86a, but the 80a are nice, and just a bit grippier incase you weren't going just for tech sliding. Don't get the 83a, though because they are just a bit choppy. But make sure to rotate your wheels a lot if you are doing a lot of 90 degree slides or if you don't ride a symmetrical board cause these guys cone pretty quick

  • any opinion on orangatang stimulus?

  • @1pinosos1 they have a pretty choppy slide at lower speeds, but i heard they are alright for going really fast. i never really liked mine. look at the abec 11 freerides.

  • The s9 Dual duros are amazing. My favorite wheel ever. They grip like a softer wheel but slide smoothly like a harder wheel.

  • i have an earthling supermodel 40 inch wit paris 180s and want a buttery free ride wheel. i also want it center set. i do mostly glove slides. what would you recommend?

  • @wmalongboarding Abec11 Freerides or Sector 9 Centerset Raceforms 80a or 82a

  • what is the name of the board in the backround with the sick graphic?

  • 0:13 dont bail!

  • how are the cloud rides?

  • this is so fucking chill.

  • what compares to the old red kryptonics c.1970's?

  • @happylambs duuude i got these red kryptonics form my dad's abandoned rollerskate (not even in line) and its fucking aceeeee, im so sad they're already wearing out

  • sound?

  • I've got 80a Monsters. they're really nice, obivously softer then the 84 but less drifty.

  • what would be a good set of wheels for just cruising around town (size and durometer)?

  • @keven1031 grippins man. good for everything. 70mm get em in 78a

  • The cloud freeride one looks exactly like the Fireballs!!!

  • @frank12364

infact they are very different. Poured in the mini monster mold for the freerides and then for the slides all we do is cut off the lips at a near 45 degree angle. otherwise the two wheels are identical to each other (slide and freeride). Plus the cloud ride urethane doesn't wear down nearly as fast as fireballs.

  • if im useing the harder wheeles and i hit like a little pebeles rock or stick will i fall because with my softer one i barley ever fall so and im looking to getting into slidding

  • @xXMADDOG467Xx use softer wheels for sliding, they feel way better and can still be easy to slide on. Check out metro motions for learning. super easy to intiate slides! :)

  • lol 1:34...oh right we're talking about wheels not papers XD

  • I can't slide my orangatang inheats for shit... any tips?

  • @MSteinMusic What duro are they?

  • @MSteinMusic Break them in, trust me if you have orange in-heats they are amazing for free-ride

  • @MSteinMusic Yeah like what MrXdubstepzX said. Break them in. With orangatangs, most of there wheels can be broken in to be quite easily slideable

  • @MSteinMusic aren't thoses better for downhill? I think you got to go very fast

  • @MSteinMusic

    1. Ensure they are broken in properly.

    2. make sure there is no slop in your trucks

    3. make sure you have speedrings and a center spacer.

    4. go faster

    -Nick

  • @MSteinMusic go faster

  • In the very beggining when the camera is paning or whatever... I was wondering how they do that. Is it editing or what?? Ive been wanting to do it in my videos

  • @LongboardinWestCoast

There is actually 2 cameras set up. One moves gently and the other stays fixed.

    -Nick

  • @ snooman100 for down hill if u r goin ova 50 kmh u would need sumthin with a bit less duro so i would go with white but of u want just that little bit more hardness for sliding i would go with yellow or aqua

  • what color wold be the best zombie hawg for like dh and freeride

  • @sn0man100 and would they be good on the comet voodoo doll d2 thats what i got my wheels right now are orangatang 4 prez puple and wich would be bettert i like sliding alot and a litttle down hill plz reply

  • @sn0man100

    Personal favorite is 82a.

    -Nick

  • in the background is that a vugen with the tan tien graphic??? :0 jizz

  • what group would yellow zombie hawgs be in plz reply

  • @sn0man100 strickly feeride. very narrow and round lips

  • @sn0man100 Freeride. Those puppies are slick

  • what do you think is the ultimate freeride wheel?

  • @MrINFL8

personal favorite freeride wheel is a Centerset Sector 9 Race formula 70mm78a.

    -Nick

  • how fast do the slide wheels wear out? and is it a good idea to have ceramic bearings when sliding or will it make it harder?

  • is having a flimsy board really going to mess you up when you go to slide?

  • @SnakeMaster3531

The flex is more likely to bounce you off of your board when you kick it sideways. Would recommend a stiffer deck for freeride/downhill

  • is having a really flimsy deck really bad for sliding? Like will it be impossible?

  • A review or sum riding on the cosmonaut

  • @longboard4life1498

    Coming soon man!

    -Nick

  • Hey, so I want to get a pair of good sliding wheels that will be good for drifting and downhill but mainly good for sliding. I have zombie hawgs at the moment but can you please tell me a few good wheels? Thanks!

  • @stinkyloveproduction Abec 11 freerides 81a, metro motions, abec 11 flashbacks, venom sidewinders

  • @pryoman43 thanks man, people always tell me to get abec 11s

  • @stinkyloveproduction Lol yep, I just got a pair myself. Metro motions are super sick to...

  • @stinkyloveproduction

Well the more you get into free ride specific wheels the less I would recommend them for downhill just because when going fast a freeride wheel is not going to be as predictable at high speed sliding as a more downhill oriented wheel. That being said a good all around wheel is a 70mm78a Abec 11 classic zigzag or a 70mm sector 9 race formula wheel!

    -Nick

  • @JustinCagnassola It means durometer, which is the unit that is used to measure how hard the urethane is.

  • Comment removed

  • thinking about getting some zombie hawgs, any thoughts?

  • @BassandLongboardguy

A rad freeride wheel with a long life. Don't expect a ton of grip from these though! Recommended duro 78, 80, or 82a.

    -Nick

  • @skatedivona any wheels that you could recommend that would give me that freeride capability that i can still easily control and cruise with?

  • @BassandLongboardguy

Personally my favorite freeride/ cruise wheels are 70mm80a Orangatang 4presidents or 70mm78a Offset Sector 9 Raceforms. Both have a square lip to provide a little bit of grip and a good urethane compound to allow for buttery smooth slides.

    -Nick

  • That flashback is 72a not 75a, its 75a with the blue under it therefore its 72... thats rare o.o

  • @neohero0814

No its actually just 75a. There are a ton of misprinted ones. Numerous sets of 75a ones say blue on them. You'd know if they were 72 vs a 75a one. Still, good eye!

    -Nick

  • there are pro downhillers that ride flashbacks and raceforms...

  • what category would the orangatang stimulus fall in? strictly freeride?

  • @MrRockgod742

Yeah, they could be used for a more tech dh course but since they have rounded lips they don't have a great amount of grip since they are designed around sliding.

  • What's the main difference between the Abec 11 Freerides and the Flashbacks? Which is easier to slide on?

  • @intellegantius

The flashback is sideset making it a little bit easier to kick out sideways. The flashback also has more urethane on it which leads to a longer life. That being said the freerides do have a super buttery slide as well. Personally they are both very easy wheels to slide on. I would recommend freerides for slower freeriding and flashbacks for faster freeriding. PM me if you have any more questions.

    -Nick

  • j'ai soif donne moi la chat

  • Whats the green board in the background

  • @MrLongbord23

The cosmonaut. There are 2 versions, 1 with flex and one without. The website will be updated soon with both options.

    -Nick

  • i have the flywheels. abec 11 rules

  • you went to curtis huh?

  • @lilbj26

    Correct.

  • @skatedivona yeah i remember you haha! you probably dont remember or know me. But my names Byron if that rings any bells. is this a new longboard shop in UP?

  • @lilbj26

Ah sorry man doesn't ring any bells. And this shop is located in Fife, just past the Tacoma Dome when headed northbound on I-5. Right near the Harley-Davidson store! Swing in some time and check it out!

    -Nick

  • i personally like the 78a centerset raceforms great for dh, they grip really well around corners, and they slide smooth enough and it kills a lot of speed that predrifts are really good

  • awesome mate thanks for the speedy reply! what kinda flex does the cosmo have? is it stiffer than the single speed?

  • @mtruapehu187

There is a version with flex and a version with out, as of a few days ago we are building stock of them on our website. Go ahead and check out our website, it should be updated fairly soon so when you click boards it will have a button for the one with flex, and a button for the one without. Thing is rad, try and get one before they sell out!

    -Nick

  • whats the board in front on the wall behind you?!?!

  • Comment removed

  • hey man, i ride 81a freerides but i cant hold out my standees as i could with my 80a stims because once i break free i just whip around, i mean its good for slide shuvs and tech stuff because you dont have to worry about the board getting around and its super buttery, but is there any technique into getting big standees with a pretty icy wheel like that? (im only 95 pounds)

  • @skimmingandstuff

Nah man, you can control icy wheels it just takes a lot of getting used to. If you are not riding an icy wheel you just need to go faster. Make sure to stay within your limits though. If you have further questions or want to get into more in depth conversation then pm me on my account.

    -Nick

  • Would the cloud ride slides be good for a begginer that wants to learn to slide?

  • @ImLyriix dude go for abec11 freerides 81a, they slide ridiculously easy

  • @ImLyriix

I would recommend something with a pre broken in surface for a beginner. Something like a Cloud Ride Slide or Landyachtz Zombie Hawg. Both of these are in stock on our website. Free shipping as well!

    -Nick

  • @MountainTopBoards

Stims would be in the freeride only category. None were in stock when this video was made but it would be in the far left category.

  • hey nick, ive been watching ur vids 4 ever and what is ur opinion on the 81a flashbacks? im thinking about getting them on my freeride setup. besides thane, like do they last longish and r they good for sliding far without shaving off all ur speed?

  • @chancerbob95 I ride 81a freerides and I dont know if the thane is different but mine are so amazing they last pretty long and very slidy.

  • @chancerbob95

They're really fun man, a tad on the icy side but still really buttery! Make sure to subscribe to DB longboards channel and like them on facebook!

  • @skatedivona haha thanks man i subbed to DB ill check em out on fb after i go skate

  • Sick nick is on DB!

  • Yo Nick! Was really helpful dude, appreciate it!
