  • Hi great dash!!but does it block the air conditioning system of your car?

  • Awesome KITT replica!!! You have truly outdone yourself... I would love to have one just like it someday and I too am in California so if you ever want to sell it....

  • Yeah, KITT's missing the turbo cast rims with the bowling ball hubcaps riding on them. Other than, it's Great looking! The monitor is BIG like that because it's a 4th season dash. KITT's dash in the TV show was big like that in the 3rd & 4th season. The 1st & 2nd season dash had the 2 TVs...remember?, am i re-freshing your memory? lol =) My fav. season KITT was 4th season, with the 1 TV dash like this guy has....simply because of the Green lighted gas pedal. That part on KITT was cool!

  • only thing that i noticed that you are missing is the black bowling ball hubcaps

  • I love the push button start, awesome work.

  • Monitor's a bit big?

  • SIMPLY FANTASTIC DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What year is your T/A?

  • 1982 T/A

  • Could you tell us, how much money did you spend for the car?

  • What monitor are you using. I may change mine out and kinda like that one.

  • I got this monitor from an overhead video system out of a van, it's a 8" LCD but I don't know what brand it is.

  • Beautiful car ......

I'm from Brazil and would like to know if you like having a kit of those here .... can be mounted on a 1985 pontiac trans am?? Watch all episodes of the series ... and it would be great to have such a car .... .... thank you and congratulations for the car .....

  • kitt my love !!

  • Everything looks great except the monitor. I think it is too big. Would've been better with a frame just like the original.

  • @urutoraseven: also, it's got the wrong rims. KITT had black "bowler' wheel covers, which can still be found.

  • They are called "Turbocast Wheels" and the car has them now as I have stated over and over.

  • very good!!

  • you should add a function everytime you press a button kitt should explain what it does as he did in the show

  • Doesn't that plastic coating over the instruments GLARE a lot!?

I know there's 2 or 3 companies that make the replica parts; one of them is a 'less shiny'/matte version of the dash, closer to the original actual car. Personally, If I ever got around to getting one, it'd probably be the other company's - especially if this one glares during the daytime.

    Don't get me wrong: It's still hella-cool!!!!

  • No, there is no glare and the gloss black dash reflects the LED lights for a better show.

  • that is one sweet replica, so many functions too, it must have cost you alot of money too!, but, i say this....yours is the best K.I.T.T I seen next to the real K.I.T.T

  • You realy put some work into this! Damn! Id like to make just one tour! One only for a life of satisfaction!LOL

  • Shame about the rims... Should get the originals on!

  • forget the haters.. i've watched and seen a lot of replicas. You're is one of the most FUNCTIONAL one's i've seen yet. No dummy buttons. They're actually working. Very nicely done. I'm jealous like a mother fucker right now. :)

  • Is that episode you have on the tv there Knight of the Juggernaut?

  • No it's from Knight of the Drones.

The first episode from season 3.

  • hey man thats one car and audio system but arent there 2 monitors man??? but thats still one hell of a car

  • Season 1 & 2 had two small monitors in the dash but Season 3 & 4 had a large single monitor.

  • oh really??? hahahaha i didnt know that i always thought that it had 2 but now i know lol hhahahaha

  • Oo great

  • Actually this car has a remote for the door locks, windows (up & down), remote start, trunk release, and front red scanner.

  • man your KITT is awesome hey can he talk like normally like in a conversation?

  • no. artificial intelligence still belongs o science fiction. but all those LED must drain the battery

  • wow nice car/computer! How are you watching TV in the car or is that just a DVD? what stereo system and/or DVD player do you have? Did you have to customize it in any way to get it to work with your existing Knight Rider console?

  • I used an older Sony MD deck with tv control.

The voicebox on the knight rider electronics has an audio input for the display.

  • Where did you get the switchpod electronics?

  • I made them myself but you can get a set from jupitere(dot)com that look the same as mine.

  • where did you get the kitt dashboard?

  • The fiberglass parts I got from markscustomkits(dot)com

  • You were driving Darth Vaders bathroom! lol.

  • can i buy you car

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • damn nice dude!

  • nice how much did the car cost its awsome

  • how did you get tv channels in you're car like that? Please tell me.

  • The stereo has a built-in TV tuner.

  • Nice!

  • Great Kitt im building one a season 4 replica also and a Karr hope you post another video

  • I was thinking of an 84 Vette but im reconsidering seeing as you can get the KITT dash for the Trans AM!!!

  • Hey Graig, are you going make a new video of your KITT?

  • NICE!!!!!

Who did you buy the nose off of? Getting ready to build one myself.

    FT

  • Robert Yancey

  • that is sweet as hell! how much did the dash cost?

  • way too much trust me.....I was looking into this years ago and all of these replica parts are way over priced

  • Where would i buy the remote starter with voice? Nice setup man. Does all that drain your car battery?

  • you should put the original knight rider wheels, that's the only thing missing, other than that it's just perfect, good job man, maintain it well

  • nope weels and the KNIGHT licence plate are missing

  • I've always had the KNIGHT license plate but you can't have it on while driving and the the car has the correct KITT wheels on it now.

  • there no any 1983 pontiac transams in my country...

that is why i was wondering from where i can buy KITT all set up and bring it here to Cyprus...

  • is there anyway that you can help me to buy it? i mean ofcourse i will pay the money, its just i need someone like you to help me about the builting of it... i am all away from cyprus bro and i will be the first one to have it in this country... i really like this car like hell :)

  • You can always have the car shipped after it's built.

You might want to check the prices for shipping a car to your location first.

The nearest shipping port from me is Sacramento, Ca.

  • you also might be the first one to have it stolen from too im wagering theres not many 1983 pontiac transams in your country either....

  • graigallanjones please tell me how much you bought KITT?

i wanna buy him too :)

  • I built this KITT Replica.

I build them for around $35,000.

  • Hello, graigallanjones.

Can I know how much you spend for all these amazing stuffs?

Did u install it by urself?

    Thx! =)

  • ALL YOU NEED IS THE TURBO WHEELS.

  • The car has Turbo wheels now.

  • Where did you get the dash overlays? Hard to find!

  • I got them from knightdriver(dot)com but I'm not sure if they are still selling them.

  • u got the inside exact with the steering wheel? i didnt even know pple made the exact inside parts for kitt fully working. do all ur buttons work something? n is the steering wheel actually work? nice car man

  • Hi, I was wondering which vendor supplied your switchpods and how hard it was to get your turn signals to behave properly with the button switch and release when turning the wheel. Do you have a tutorial that you could supply for this, cos thats a really handy mod.

    cheers

  • I made the switchpods myself but you can get some that look the same from jupitere(dot)com

the turn signals required replacing the steering column with a column from a 84 camaro with a digital dash, it has an electrical turn signal cancel switch inside the column which I used to wire to the turn signals.

  • does the whole column have to be replaced or can the turn signal cancel cam be used alone. is the 84 berlinetta the only one with theis sort of device compatible with the trans am??

  • Yes you need the whole column and I believe the column was used for the 84/85/86 years of the digital dash Berlinetta Camaro

  • where do you hide the VCR?

  • It does not have a VCR it has a DVD Player and it's in the dash under the stereo system.

  • this car is awesome made!!

  • by th way the Speedo for the dash, you can switch between Km's and Mph? or is it just Mph?

  • It's only MPH.

  • just wondering since I live in ONtario lol.

  • me encanta tu kitt guau

  • perfect, you get mad props from me man. keep it clean.

  • where do ya get da voice???

  • Awesome job on the car. looks great though it needs the classic bowling bowl wheels / hubcaps to truly complete it to it's classic exterior look. I love the scanner, though when you have the fog lamps on it seems to show up a bit behind the scanner light, I'm sure something could be put there to better black out the scanner light from the reflection of the fog lamps. Anyway, great job, two thumbs up, if I had the spare cash I'd love to make one myself.

  • The car has the correct wheels on it now and

the light you see on the scanner is a reflection of light coming from the garage wall.

  • If there's a way you can port out a GPS screen to that TV monitor, that would be awsome.

  • Hi, I am one big fan of Night Rider and you did a Great Job on the K.I.T.T Replica. I have always wanted a Trans Am and make a Kitt replica, but I am not as smart as you guys out there doing this. But I guess I better stop wishing because I know it will never come true. Anyway You did a great job on this. one more thing, how much are these kinda cars worth if someone sold a kitt replica.

  • People have sold their KITT replicas on ebay motors and they can go for as much 20 to 50k.

  • I seen one on ebay for 2000 a couple of years ago it was in bad shape some one ass packed it and in about five to ten years you will be able to make that car drive its self really cool car I have always liked knight rider

  • WOW! That's all I had to say. Well, not really, omg, I hadn't seen anything quite awesome and that is a true replica, of KITT, WOW! Oh and one more thing, how much money did go into this? I would like to know, but if you wouldn't say, than that's ok, I understand, but WOW again. It's just great!

  • Great car, This is the best replica I ever seen. If its street legal I wouldnt mind one myself. The interior has a very hightech look with all them leds and the screen.

  • The only thing that the police might give you a hard time with is the steering wheel and you can't drive with the front scanner on.

  • Yeah I knew the scanner would be a problem, but I didnt think about the steering wheel. Is it possible for that interior be put in other cars besides trans am. Because for sometime now I been wanting to do some work on my car.

  • It will fit the same year Camaro (82-92) but as for other makes I don't think it's possible.

  • Hell yeah, all you need now is airwolf

  • THank you so much, the 80s had a lot of cool stuff that has been forgotten.

  • All ya need now is a flux compasitor.

  • Did Casey Kasum do the Kitt voice.

  • No that Teacher guy from Boy Meets World did it. Although, kasey kasem woulda done a good job, but then hanna barbera coulda done knight rider and shaggy coulda played michael knight as well.

  • His name is William Daniels. He was also on St Elsewhere if I'm not mistaken

  • The guy that was the teacher on Boy meets World. Is the voice of K.I.T.T

  • Hi first I must say great work.If I won a lottery I'am going to buy one.I would like to ask what engine is in it?It is the original Pontiac '82 or something else? And I'am curious how much horsepower does ti have? And what is the top speed and acceleration? Thanx

  • Hello, It has the original Pontiac 305 motor and I never tested it for it's top speed, When I got the car the only plan I had for it was to make a replica of KITT.

  • Nice car shame about the wheels.

  • The car has the right wheels on it now.

  • I think, i've just wet myself...this is soo beautiful!!!

  • how much it cost one replica of this?

  • About $35,000 and I can build one for you.

I have a shop building KITT replicas,

    Hot Rod wiring installation,

    and Automotive Electrical Repair.

    email: getmewired@msn com

  • OMG thats is so cool

  • Dude really awesome work looks awesome i love it really nice job!!!

  • wow, really awesome work!

  • Get the Turbo Cast Rims DUDE!!!!!

  • That's been done!!

  • Very NICE!!! Are you gonna but original looking rims and hubcaps??

  • Hey craig, I want to thank you for lettingm e know where to find some of them parts, also I want to know what parts of the interior fuctions of the car was removed and can not be used such as someof the gauges? instrument panels , and the wipers and turn signals etc any of those that was replaces with buttons or etc?

  • The only factory buttons left in the car are the heater-a/c controls.

  • wha? ohh dang wow LOL so what about all the other fuctions? such as opening the widnows and oh yeah turn signals ? wind sheild wipers etc was it a bit chaos to remember the new buttons to fuction some things/?

  • Because of the fact that I wired everything it made it easier for me to remember what buttons did what.

  • true, I really want the talking voice meter box that sits above the steeing wheel. How much do those run? Also where can I find that? Do they come in blue light? Same with the front end light thing too. Also do you get pulled over for having that red light going on in the front?

  • You can get the voicebox from: jupitere com

and the front scanner from Lectric Enterprises

    knight-f2k4 com

  • awesome replica, lol too many buttons for me though, i thought it was cool that you actually had functions for the buttons, most kitt replicas don't even use the buttons.

  • nice voice box

  • Man! You are great. I also want to buy Pontiac sometime, but this is genius!!!

  • Incredible video mate, makes it so hard to know what kitt to make. nice work on the functionality of the car, and with the garage door at the end, very cool..

  • Wow , very good Job ! Your replica looks perfekt !Only the rims was not original ! I built a Replica too , i built a A-Team Van Replica they have not so much Electric like KITT ! have much fun with your Replica ! Greetings sends Mike from Germany !

  • awesome hey brother where do u go to install the dash and all electronics and the custom outside the carr did u did it by ur self or u buy the gear and send it to a place to be esamble?

  • I installed everything and also actually built some of the parts.

  • incredible!!!!

  • how much did i cost to make.

  • i love the season 3 dash! this is why i want to come to america!

  • That is so SICK!!!

  • ok perfect replicas , thanks for this video !!!

  • Great job on the replica KITT. Would you mind telling me where I can get parts to build my own replica if I wanted to?

  • how did you make the voice mudulator talk on sound of the vidoe man that realy cool i want that to an my replica how did you do that plz tell me

  • The voicebox is connected to the stereo so everything played on the stereo comes through the voicebox.

  • hey i remember this car you sold it on ebay

    did anyone buy it?

  • yes it sold

  • When I can migrate to the country where the car inspection doesn't exist, ..(.. night. 2000I think that it produces). (of imagegraigallanjones..(.. night of Mr.)2000) It is wonderful. It was impressed.

  • That is one amazing replica!! I love the screen that's in there. It looks much nicer. That dash is fantastic. The exterior looks really good as well. All you need is some Turbocast rims and bowling ball hubcaps. Who made your dash and electronics?

  • The dash is from markscustomkits. com and the electronics are mostly from Jupitere. com.

  • Excellent replica. I'm keeping tabs on your auction. Is it possible to "dim" down the interior lights at night?

  • No you can't dim them because they are LED's but I made it so you can turn off the lower console lights so it's a little easier to drive.

  • That replica is better than my KITT. Great job! :)

  • The 2007 Insurance Office of America FIREBALL RUN Transcontinental Rally is offering 50% off registration to anyone capable of entering an iconic movie car in the Orlando to Beverly Hills adventurally. Go to FireballRun(dot)com. You're car will run along side the 1960's batmobile, Ambuland from The Cannonball Run, Blues Mobile, and the police interceptor from andy Griffith Show!

  • how did you get the indicators to work without the stork, as its a mechanical thing.

  • The steering column came from an 84 Camaro with digital dash (rare), this is a great column for a KITT replica due to the fact that it has electronic turn signal cancel and has a nice clean look because this column was not built with a turn signal lever, it only came with the tilt lever. I does however take some custom wiring and a couple relays to make it work.

  • Grate ain it, that technology has moved on so far, that we are able to make our favourite KITT a reality. We could even make them turbo bosst with lowrider tech. !! :-)

  • damn some nice kitt car you got there bro, if i just had the money :D

    good look with selling
