  • So Mary grew up in a world of silence, but one day he met a man that was music himself. He really rocked her world!

  • The Freddie-Mary relationship pretty much sums up how i feel about me and a certain girl in my life. We dated a little about three months ago but things cant work for us right now and we are still the very best friends we could ever have and are there for each other. Ive dated other girls since then but none of them have made me feel the way she does. At this point in my life she is the only person i can imagine myself married to. We are still very much in love more than just friends

  • Great pictures but the text is hard to read it goes pretty fast but all and all I love the video

  • @gabibirmoura Totally agree. She left him precisely when he became famous. So nobody never can't say that she just wanted his money. She really loved that man. Their love was overwhelming...Beyond the physical.

(Totalmente de acordo. Ela deixou-o precisamente quando ele se tornou famoso. Por isso ninguém pode dizer que ela so queria o dinheiro dele.. Ela amou-so de verdade. O amor de ambos era esmagador... para alem do físico.)

  • Is rare to find a love like this, is something transcendent. For those who do not believe in soulmates, here is a proof . ...........

  • Now I understant why Mary always came first. She was the one whom he could really trust and he knew it. Now it's understandable why she was the biggest beneficiary of the will. Increasingly more admire this woman.....she could have written books about Freddie and never did, never used her relationship with Freddie to appear. She was on his side in sickness and in health, and never left him. And after Freddie's death she quietly returned to her life quietly. She really loved that man...

  • Seemed very special and an eternal type of love. That's as special as it gets. She was with the man when he was blooming and apparently he didn't forget it. This is very sad to watch but wonder if there has been any retrospective about the relationship? The song - will always stand the test of time. It's timeless!

  • LOVE OF MY LIFE-PAULAS BATROS!

  • So sad.

  • Wow, just cried my eyes out watching this! Amazing video, well done.

  • god what a beautiful girl she was when she was young.I believe that the love he had for her was like no other.he never loved like that to anyone again..not even his newer partners after her. i also believe the love he had for her never died.even when they were friends he knew deep in his heart that he still loved her till the very end, regardless of his orientation.this makes me cry so much its so beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time.

  • @dolphsurff98

She wasn't that beautiful, but they had something special, that chemistry.....so hard to find

  • Thank you for this beautiful tribute to love!

  • if she was Freddie's lover...did she ever convert to HIV (+)????? Love is one thing....being bisexual is another.....and you cannot have unprotected anal sex with 200 partners and not expect to "get something." Is it love or lust?

  • @sisco249 Freddie and Mary were lovers from 1970-1976. Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. Back in the 80s, nobody knew much about AIDS and it wasn't just a homosexual disease. Magic Johnson acquired AIDS and he wasn't gay. It doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is as long as you use protection. Because AIDS was an unknown disease back then, people didn't know how they got it or who they gave it to. Now, AIDS is no longer a death sentence. Meds now can make you live longer.

  • two souls who found each other...

that's how it should be for everybody :)

  • Mary loved Freddie when he had nothing. Freddie knew that.

Someone can easily say to a famous millionaire, "oh, I love you and I'll care for you" but do they really mean it? Freddie always had that thought in the back of his mind with everyone that he met after he became a famous millionaire.

With Mary, Freddie never had to ask himself if Mary really meant it because he knew that she truly loved him 100%.

  • this almost makes me cry. regardless of his orientation, he loved this woman and she definitely loved him. he also had one of the most angelic voices i have ever heard. i am sure singing with the angels now. lovely people.

  • this almost makes me cry. regardless of his orientation, he loved this woman and she definitely loved him. he also had one of the most angelic voices i have ever heard. i am sure singing with the angels now. lovely people.

  • mary gave freddie the freedom he wanted and it takes a special kind of love to let yr partner of 6 years go and that prob part of why freddie had so much love and respect for her

  • This was well done!

  • mary austin seems to be such a lovely girl

  • It opened my eyes to so much more - I needed to see this - I would like to commend you for showcasing a less popular aspect to the legacy of Freddie Mercury. The reality was that being in love - with his soulmate - Mary, and she seemed to be sincerely in the same way with him, over the decades, is to be as highlighted as any other myth spun to circulate and keep alive Queen music.

This Love was the Truth not the the commercial parodyas what Freddie Mercury was supposed to be about

  • Freddy made it very clear to the world who the love of his life is/was.Sex has nothing 2 do w/love.U miss the closeness, but real love is impossible 2 just take away. Those men were sex toys & mary was the 1.I cant believe jim had the balls 2 try 2 take her place in the car.She had put up w/him long enough & ordered him gone.I dont blame her,If it were me,alot worse wouldve happened.I cant stand ballsy-jealous fags.He couldnt replace her n life,so he tried 2 pull some crap n freddys death.U go Mar

  • Freddie did say on several occasions that he considered 'Mary' the only "true friend" he had in life. For what little was able to be gathered, much, if not all of the information presented here, was an accurate account of what was revealed about Freddie and Mary's relationship together.

  • Freddie wrote "Love Of My Life" for Mary, and dedicated the song to her.

  • What a lovely person she is? Love richie979

  • I read Jim Hutton's book twice and I cried as I did after reading Peter'sFreestone's book. Why would Mary be so terribly cruel to the three men who so tenderly cared for Freddie in his final illness. Freddie dearly loved Jim as Jim loved him. Why would Mary try to get rid ofr Jim even before Freddie die, why would she order him out of the first funeral car, when he should have been there as Freddie considered him his husband. FM's paren ts and sister should have been in that car as well.

  • @DeidreLee7171 Actualy Freddie considered Mary is common law life, thier time together / liveing together he stated he considered it a REAL MARRIAGE, Freddie s words not mine. And Mary was also there with Freddie to the end

  • @DeidreLee7171 wife

  • @DeidreLee7171 I don't know the answers, but I do know that there are two sides to every story - sometimes 3 sides. His side, her side, and the truth. Unfortunately, we will probably never hear Mary's side of the story because I feel sure she will never write a book about Freddie or her relationship with him. If nothing else, Freddie sure had a loyal friend in Mary. One thing good that can be said about her - she never, ever exposed his private life in the public arena.

  • true love...gg rose will be there for u when u need one to talk with...go do what makes u happy ...rose will always be behind gg waiting to whatever he wanted to share with her in terms of how he is now n then and give him all the space he wants to make him less stress and be happy...

great vid of Freddie indeed his love outshines the love of Mary to him...Freddie knows how to be with his love and keep her close to him...

  • wonderful video =).

  • did mary austin die of brain cancer?

  • Comment removed

  • @mrklutch9893 I don't think so...Hope not. She was last seen in 2009 to my knowlege.

  • Mary cool lady.

  • God, Queen was unbelievably great. Life gets so complicated for everyone, it seems. Wonderful video-thanks. Love is what you see when someone sticks with you through the toughest times--it seems they both did that.

  • Very nice

  • I never even knew Brian was one of her ex's. . .thanks for the info!

  • thank you very much for that movie. it means a lot to me.cheers

  • Great pictures,,,,thank you so much. They look soooo happy together, their eyes sparkle =) much love there

  • bedgar2003, You have to realize that Freddie had loved Mary for a number of years before he met Jim Hutton, and that Jim was no doubt jealous of someone he couldn't overcome as No. 1. Freddie himself said he made it clear to his male lovers that they would never replace Mary in his heart. They should have accepted that, as it was obvious that Freddie was mad about her and she about him, even as friends.

  • Freddie was bi-sexual, Mary, many male lover than jim hutton. I love Freddie, he loved Mary n I respect that, if he wanted any one else to have what he gave mary he would've, if u love Freddie u have to respect that he loved Mary, just how i feel

  • Freddie was not gay....

It's the same with MJ... it is said... he hm.. molested children... no.... because his father beat him he wanted to be ggod to children... to all of them... and this was interpretated... by mass-media.... to make us think that we live in a very unnormal world !!

    Freddie and MJ were normal...

  • being gay is normal...

  • They made a cute couple, glad Mary was there for Freddie..(Wish it was me by his side)LOL, Thank you for posting this, good job..

  • Very nice job. Thanks for posting! How very sad.....

  • Usually I don´t like this kind of vids but you have done a great job and most importently present your sourses. Beautiful pictures, beautiful song and lovely people. Cheers from a Swedish Queenfan.

  • It's so funny, there's nothing to laugh about

My money, that's all you wanna talk about

I can see what you want me to be

    But I'm no fool

  • ευχαριστω στον πανο που μου εμαθε αυτο

    το υπεροχο κομματι...

  • why do you hate her?

  • Please tell me, why do you hate Mary? I am on the fence myself. If you read Jim Huttons book, she is not what everyone makes her out to be but Freddie loved her no doubt. Please tell me your comments, why do you dislike her?

  • @bedgar2003 have you ever considered Jim didnt write nicely about Mary bevause Jim was NOT no. 1 with Freddie, MARY was. But Freddie was truthful and told any and all lovers they could NOT replace Mary in his heart so they entered the relationship fore warned. I think Jim was flat out jelious of Mary. As far as the heart gose MARY was / is the widow

  • @RSZAS Any Particualar reason? I feel so sorry for her... :-(

  • This made me cry so beautiful. You two were a match made in heaven.

  • Absolutely beautiful job on this vid!

Wonderful pics set to the best love song ever...

  • Many thanks,this video let me know a part of Freddie's life I didn't know,thanks again queenpaloma.

  • Lovely job queenpaloma, compliments to you my friend. Queen infinitive!!!!

  • queenpaloma deserves a pulitzer for the passages in this video

  • :) sweet!!!

    Queen forever!!!

  • thanks for taking your time and comment

    God save the Queen!!!

  • Wow.... all you have to do is look at the photos to see how much they loved eachother. Very touching video. Very beautiful song.

  • I couldn`t help shed a few tears. Their friendship was nothing short of love. I`m glad she brought solace to Freddie and was always there for him. The song is so genuine and complements the photos so well

  • Comment removed

  • @vanessa1118 the song is written by freddie about her :)

  • No matter how many partners Freddie had -- and however much he enjoyed sex with them -- his life is a great testimony to the fact that love has nothing to do with sex. Love is way beyond that -- it is trust, loyalty and respect and I am happy that Freddie had Mary until the end of his life (and will have beyond this world).

  • Love that comment : ) True: sometimes love has nothing to do with sex or even with "romantic love"

  • @hesanflicka I agree a million percent with every word you written

  • A lovely video and nice to see. Just one thing that jars is the last point with Mary apparently saying that Freddie's friends at the house had moved on and left her - I'd read that despite Freddie asking for them to be kept on, she'd kicked them out shortly after he died and they had 3 months to find somwhere else. I really hope this turns out to be a rumour as it sounds awful, Freddie was very close to all his friends at the lodge and I'm sure Mary would have respected that!

  • This isn't true. Freddie left them all money so they didn't need to stay and work at his home.

She was very lonely when everyone left.

  • Well that's good, thanks for clarifying. I'm glad it turned out not to be true.

  • Great video !Thx for posting !

  • i love the smile of both in 6:52. This is a very sweet moment! :D

  • It's good to know that Mary gave Freddie comfort and acceptance in her eyes. It may be that she learned from her parents that the human being is more than the commonalities of the five senses, and that the body, soul, and spirit together are more than the sum of their parts. May God bless Mary and her family. No doubt she gave sustenance to one of the greatest artists of all time. There's a lesson for all of us in her.

  • freddie mercury will always be the greatist rock frontman of all time.

queens music & freddie will live forever.

  • freddie mercury wasn't truly gay, he was bisexual, mary austin was the true love of his life.

queens music will live forever, long live farooke bulsara.

freddie is the greatest soft rock music legend of all time.

  • I'm pretty sure he loved her, just that he preferred male sex.

  • is mary austin freddie's mother? i am confused

  • mary austin was freddies girlfriend. but she left him when he began an affair with a male record executive at elektra records.

  • the girl at 6:05 is she mary?

  • This is love and they are beautiful and a refreshing look at Freddie Mercury.

  • Freddie and Mary are absolutely adorable & both seem to "shine" when they are together. Thank you Mary for making Freddie so happy and giving so much love and friendship. A very lucky girl indeed!!!! With him to the end. True love indeed!

  • Se necesita amar de verdad para hacer lo q hizo Mary, definitivamente una gran mujer q ayudo a Freddie a construirse como persona.... me le quito el sombrero...Mary para ti mis respetos

  • Everyone says he was homo but he was bisexual. But I don't understand something. Please answer me: Why was Mary pregnant from the drummer while she was living with Freddie? Why did she not live with Roger?

  • Where did you hear that story?? Mary never had a child with Roger Taylor. And she was never living with Freddie while she was pregnant. Both of her children's father is Piers Cameron.

  • I'm sorry. Someone wrote it as a comment. Thank you!!

  • she wasn't pregnant with rogers child why would you think that?

  • haha! with roger? i've never thought of that! that's muy loco loco

  • Killing. It's touching how he loved her.

  • They made such a cute couple! Even though their relationship ceased to be romantic, they were still undoubtedly soulmates.

  • yes, a lovely couple : )

  • Yeh and you just had to read it to know private things. You no nothing.

  • so the only reason Mary left Freddie was because he was bi??? that sucks. they made the best couple ever.

  • You can just see how much in love they were!! Mary was so lucky to have been his girl for 6 yrs. and then best of friends to the end! R.I.P. Freddie

  • that´s great

  • wonderful :)

  • mary is beautiful

  • Absolutely well done! Made me cry all over again! He was such a gifted person. She was very luck y to have known him and be included in his life.

  • She was lucky...but she saw the love of her life at 45.

  • Ooopss I meant she saw the love of her life DIE at 45. LOL Sorry.

  • no words.. exept : WONDERFUL !

  • True

  • Yes,WONDERFUL!

  • Mary love Freddie

    And Freddie love Mary!

    It is simple...

    LOve is LOve;)

    Bravo !

  • : ) Bravo, indeed.

  • Happy birthday dear Freddie, goodnight, God bless you........

  • Oh please!!!!!!!!!! Neither one of them look like Freddie. Do you really think that Piers Cameron would allow the public to think the boys are his? Have you ever thought that maybe the boys read these comments? How insensitive!!!

  • shut up bitch

  • Oh, so you're another one of those insensitive individuals that think it is funny to suggest that one of Mary's sons may actually be Freddie's? No, YOU SHUT UP!!!

  • sorry i thought u said some bad things about mary!!

  • LOL...I figured it out. I love "The Untold Story" and the book "Freddie Mercury: a life in his own words"....you can really see how they loved each other.

  • i think y mrsbadguy n all the other haters talk bad about her is because their jealous freddie loved her n so did all his friends now who r u goin 2 believe all of freddie's friends, band members ,(himself),mick rock against 1 person jim now come on thats just bein ignerint!!!!

  • ??? I'm a Jim "hater"...I LOVE Mary-Freddie relationship.

  • Did anyone else notice how one of mary's sons is blonde and the other brunette? and how the brunette one has big teeth and is the older one which is Freddie's god son? Or the fact that the boys look completely different? Or the fact that Mary's husband left her because she was so close to a certain friend? Hmm, I wonder what I'm getting at?

  • hahhahah yeah i see what u mean!!

  • Oh my...I tought the same the first time I watched the photos...

  • Oh...we were wrong. The brunette one is the little one, he was born after Freddie's death. And Freddie wasn't the godfather of Richard (the blonde one) and Jamie (the brunette). But those teeth are suspicious, LOL.

  • @LoganAres ...why would Mary chance having sex with Freddie, when he was bi-sexual. Also, he had AID's. I am not putting a damper on their love, but in the long run...Freddie wanted the best of two worlds...Mary and his male partner's.

  • @LoganAres ...why would Mary chance having sex with Freddie, when he was bi-sexual. Also, he had AID's. I am not putting a damper on their love, but in the long run...Freddie wanted the best of two worlds...Mary and his male partner's.

  • @Mic19633 I don't know that there's any evidence or claims that Mary and Freddie had sex after he finally told her he was bisexual in the mid 70s. Further, I don't think there's any evidence they had sex after he was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm under the impression that after their initial 6 year affair (during which Mary was not aware that Freddie was bi), their relationship evolved into a best friendship that did not involve sleeping with each other.

  • MrsBadGuy you have missed my point. FREDDIE MERCURY hated judgemental people. One judgemental individual does not make it OK for another to be judgemental (aka MrsBadGuy). It sounds like to me that you have read all the private things told by many people, which is what Freddie would have hated. Freddie was mostly private or very careful at disclosing personal info because he wanted to protect his family from the truth about his wild ways.

  • Of course Freddie was mostly private...that's why he would hate Jim's book. I've only read his book and Freddie's interviews. And I read Jim's book because I expected it to be less tabloid-thing, and because it was recomended to me by other Queen's fans.

  • bollocks, you read jim's book because you wanted to know private things about Freddie. Which is why you bought it. I have spoke personally with jim and I can find no reason to hate him like you do. And how do you know they wasnt TRUE eh. Who are you to judge? Get out there and speak with real people for fucks sake woman.

  • Jim and Mary were at odds because of their love for Freddie. No one should be judging either one of them. Freddie always said that no one belongs critizing others, when the best critic is the ones involved. MrsBadGuy you seem to be very judgemental to me.

  • Jim has been judgemental about Mary, read the book. And most of the people that read the book, end up hating Mary, and many fans insult her. I dislike (no hate) Jim because in his book he told many private things that Freddie would like to keep private (cocaine, how was Freddie in sex, the last moments, etc...). Freddie was a VERY private man, he fired Prenter because he was talking to the press, he kept secret the place where are his ashes, etc...He wouldn't like Jim's book.

  • Wasteland has called Mary a cunt....but you haven't considered him judgemental...STRANGE

  • its weired but its kinda like freddie had it planned out u know not all of his life but just towards the end u know his life is like a book oh n by the way really great vid freddie n mary soul mates forever

  • TY ... Mrs.Bad for forwarding this video.... :)

  • where did you get all of the pics?

  • looking on the internet, magazines and documentaries

  • Only Jim Hutton thinks she's a cunt. Brian May, the Bulsara family, Mick Rock, Greg Brooks, Rudi Dolezal....and FREDDIE HIMSELF have said good about her...so I think that maybe Jim is the real cunt.

  • @MrsBadGuy1 I never read Jim s book and never will. How much would be true snd how much isnt. He was the scorned lover in the sense HE wasnt no. 1 in Freddie s heart MARY was / is. So writting a private tell all would be a great pay back, never mind what is and isnt true, people will asume it is. And I have no respect for someone who CLAIMS to have loved a private person write a book telling private things ratter it is true or untrue. That is being a low life , simple as that

  • Oops, I meant they all have said good things about her.

  • thumbs up to mary for seeing what freddie really needed and loving him so much to look past it

  • AMEN

  • she was his other half..they were destined to be together. miss you Freddie RIP

  • It made me cry!they was a perfect pair!but too bad!Freddie was bisexual!

  • They reminds me Pamela&Jim

  • So beautiful Budapest moments at 07:15-07:35, Freddie is practicing a Hungarian folk song on the hotel terrace for the concert held one day later, and they're looks so good doing that. You can also notice Freddie looking at Mary, like asking "am I sing it correctly, what do you think?". Lovely vid.

  • so beautifull and so sad!! it's really great how much they loved each other, and so sad how it ended!

  • Basically, it's this....no matter what, Freddie would die all over again if he found out one of his lovers or friends wrote a tell-all book. Even if there's no malice in it, just the fact Jim told the whole world about their personal lives, Freddie would NOT approve of this. Hello, this is the man who kept his illness till his last breath. That's very telling of his personality & character. Only Mary understood this & never wrote a book out of respect because it was no one's business.

  • so sweet

but honestly,i still dont know why they broke up but still loved each other?

  • @enajyram95 ...why would any woman, or man want to be involed with someone, that has sex with the opposite sex. And you don't know why they broke up?

  • Wow, she really loved him. Her face shines when she is around him.

  • *wipes tears away*

BTW what is the video aroud 7:25?

  • Oh, sorry for not realizing your question earlier, you may find an answer to it in my comment.

  • Even after Freddie had gay lovers people used to think she was his girlfriend. I think Freddie wanted people to think that too and just called Jim his gardener to his parents. I think Peter Freestone, his manager, was a good friend as he does a lot to keep Freddies memory alive. It does seem odd that her new husband is living off Freddie's things, although maybe Freddie wouldn't mind.

  • I think Freddie took his job as Godfather to her child(ren) very seriously. I also don't think he would have denied her a love life either. She stood by him when noone else would, regardless of what she 'gained', before he was a celebrity or anything. She loved Freddie just for Freddie.

  • I don't think Jim humiliated him. I read his book and it was about him and how his life changed when he met Freddie, as if he needed to write it for himself. For some reason I became fascinated in Jim talking about tables he made for Freddie and the garden he looked after lol. He talked about the fish he bred and everything. If he wanted to humiliate Freddie then I'm sure he could have written worse things. Mary was married and was busy with her children when Freddie got very ill.

  • Do you think he got AIDS from Mary Austin? She may have done him in.

  • now this is what true love is caring about someone no matter what flaws they may have mary austin is a fantastic lady!

  • I wonder too,the absences of his family during the last stages of his life.its true Freddie knows it his own baggage to face it alone the much pain he sufferring, but love, prayers and care was so impt 4 a dying person i believed.Freddie was a very courageous person,so brave,& just to0 think that AIDS that time was new, unknown to much people,a shameful desease.May you RIP we still love you no matter what.

  • When Freddie left his millions to Mary lots of questions raised..honestly even me.how come not to his sis, though we dont have any rights to talk about, but this thought came to my mind,Mary was the only one who understood him and never laughed when he embrace the gayness personality rather 2 accept & keep the pain and let grow the unconditional love between them. She never stay away rather a tough shell 2 protect & defend Freddie in any means of attack.Anyone among us ladies can do this.?

  • @fmarsong And something to consider, Freddie most likely trust Mary to help his famly should they need it. This was the woman / person he trust above all others so it is possable he even asked her to look after his parent, sisther for him after he was gone. There could have been an understanding between them concerning his family

  • If she made Freddie happy. But I am surprised her husband would live off of Freddies money and live in his home.Couldn't he afford send his own Kids to private school? But this must be what Freddie wanted being Godfather to those children. He seemed loyal to his friends and true.

  • i agree with criznueve, i've read things about Freddie, from Jim and it is too much in graphic detail!!Don't you think as private as Freddie was with his interviews and personal life, he would hate it. If you really love someone you respect their personal life, as they wish!

  • zit s really realy nice to see this.

our views (my view) of AIDS was so different back then. shameful of how I viewed those suffering.

Today Freddie might have had a chance, maybe would have not had to hide it, and would have had the support of the world.

He would never have had to reveal to the world, the day before he dies, that he was sick and needed help.

    sorry
