Isn't the debate over the pronunciation of Karamazoff supposed to be a reference to something in terms of pop culture?
Speaking of pop culture references, the real George's speech at 37:24 is clearly a nod to a quote said by Maxwell Smart (Don Adam's character on "Get Smart").
Brilliant! I haven't seen the unmasking of Irving Karamazov since I was in third grade. Huge thanks for uploading it. Between you and Tony DuMont, it's been a good year for Mathnet fans.
It's great to have someone like James Earl Jones make an appearence on Mathnet as Thad Green in person, The only other appearence I saw (or heard) that I recall was in The Case of the Missing Air, where we only heard his voice on the phone.
I remember watching this episode when I was about 7 years old. I had to run into the other room at the end of the episode when the face of "Imposter George" was ripped off. Wonderful show! Thanks for sharing!
@TVLubber I wish you (or at least someone else) had "The Case of the Deceptive Data". That was my favorite episode of all-time. Beloved Children's show host Mike Pliers was losing his ratings to Vicious Vinnie Vermin (or so they thought).

Good twist on the usual scheme of your channel. I use to watch this every day as a kid at the end of Square One. This brings me back.

I know just how the conversation between George and Mr. Beasley would have gone:
[knock knock]
George: Oh, good morning, Mr. Beasley.
Beasley: Oh, yes, good morning yourself, George.
George: What can I do for you?
Beasley: Well, I was just wondering if I could borrow your lawnmower.
George: Oh, sure, no problem. But what happened to your lawnmower?
Beasley: Well, it hasn't been working very well since Tuesday.
George: Really? What happened Tuesday?
Beasley: Oh, you backed over it.

@Garrettk41 No I didn't get it. Sorry.

@vnisanianisback Mr. Beasley was a cartoon character on "Square One TV", neighbor of Dirk Niblick.

@Garrettk41 Now I know what you're talking about.
When I saw such segment, I thought it was a left-over Garfield & Friends" sketch, because the look of the animation reminded me of that show.

@vnisanianisback I see what you're getting at.

This is one of the best Mathnet episodes ever. I'm thrilled to have it on youtube.
By the way, anyone get the Mr. Beasley bit?

The story you are about to see is a fib but its short.
Was that from a tape master from Sesame Workshop or a trade?
