  • I think I speak for everyone when I say, we want to see more of your awsome forest stuff!

  • Old time Japanese people made a similer items. bucket, large bowls etc, it's amazing that when this vessel holds the water it expands the volume of the wood & actually water proofs it!!! Great Job Hobbexp!! as useual kicking the arses of amature bushcrafters!!! I Love watching your videos!! Very very impressive than anyothers

  • Nvm that, i get how you did it now.

  • Another good video Fredde. I've never seen anyone make a cup like that before.....and god love that pine needle tea, it always hots the spot for me.

  • Well, Freddie, i have to say that i am mightily inspired and impressed by you. you are a natural bushcrafter. a genius. come Armageddon, i bagsy hanging out with you and your family! thanks so much for posting these videos.

  • I'm speechless. Have you been doing this all your life? Do you select a certain type of wood for the things you do? Can you make the bushbow and arrows out of any wood? I hate to ask so many questions but I really would like to know! 5 stars and more!!!!!!! Keep the great videos coming!

  • awesome vid :) i tried this with some pine, after a few days the inside went all white and cottony, any idea what that is? any woods you should be washing out before drinking from them? i have a fear of you know... dying.

  • i think its a fungus,, mabye you can try some other wood,

  • @hobbexp LOL GOOD answer!!lol

  • nice, inspiring, how much time do u spent in the forest maximum?

  • ??? maximum, im out 2-3 days / week,

  • did you use any thing to seal it like pin pitch or did it just fit together that perfect?

  • no pitch :0)

  • I got it.You split the log ,remove middle part but leave bottom and tie it back together. You must be a member of MENSA and if not you should be. Amazing...

  • Amazing! Like always!

    *****

  • That is absolute genius!! Fantastic ise on how to make a cup from a small log!! Going to be trying that one tomorrow! 5 stars!!!

  • what I met was on your day pack, in your videos it has a small stool made on the back of it. you used this stool in older videos. I was wondering if one could be made in the bush. love your work.

  • Wow, you always surprise me! You are great!

  • How did you make the bottom of the cup? For how long do you think the cup will hold together if the root is constantly heated and dried, since it looked like it was fairly dry when you folded it?

I love that someone actually goes out there and make stuff like you do, keep it up and good luck in the future from a fellow skogsmulle. :o)

  • you can see the bottow of the cup in the end when i drink my tea,

  • Your amazing Fredde 5/5.

  • Thats amazing

    5*

  • Excellant video and cup 5*

  • great video, how about doing a video on making a bushcraft chair. some type of stool. love your work.

  • hehehe i have no use for chairs out dorrs,

  • How did you do that? You seem to be able to make anything that comes to mind with your hands and your knife! You are a craftsman!

  • Nice work my friend

  • That's pretty talented, I think for myself I will makee extra sure I don't forget my cup or an old can or something

  • i dont forget my cup at home, that time, the only thing i forget was my coffee,, and the weeken before that when i make the bushcraft mix 4, video, i forget my coffee pan at home, heheh its always some thing, but its only to find a solution at the problem,

  • always enjoyable. cheers Fredde

  • @Trophybow1 yeah it taste good,

  • Fredde, I'can only say that I'm truly amazed of this...... I wouldn't even be able to make such a cup with the most modern ecquipment, and look what you did!!! Wow, that's almost unbelievable, great job that is to say the least!!!

  • thanks,

  • Your good with a knife

  • Neat cup. Have you used no resin. Is that water tight purely through the angle of the cuts. Great idea, another project for me to try. Thanks Fredde.

  • no resin, only my mora :0)

  • I know you are a craftsman with a knife but this is really impressive. Well done Fredde.

  • thanks nice to hear you like it,

  • Always amazing!

  • Great job fredde, but funny thing is I thougt about making same "Bukara" about a month ago. In Dalmacia at Adriatic coast they make same thing but with a hande with a branche that is actualy part of one of those segments. And they call it "Bukara". Anyhow great job bro.

  • yeah i thinking about that to, to make a handel of a branche, but i dont like to cut down a big live tree to get the wood, so i take what i find,

  • Did you fit the bottom like a barrel lid? A disk fitted into a groove around the inside?

In any case, I like the image of drinking spruce tea by the fire. Well done.

  • i think you can easy see in the video what i did or not, look at the end when i drink from it,

  • Fredde can out bushcraft us all even with one Mora tied behind his back.....Nice Dude !!!!!!!!!!

  • More like a mini barrel. I bet Freddes has nothing but mason jars as drinking cups at home ;) Man up.

  • Nice one! Awesome craftsman!

  • Where did you get that tea pot?

  • i get it in asia

  • not bad at all...very well done...

  • ***** INVINCIBLE *****

    traditional cooper-style ... ingenious crafting !

So i can stop searching for a usuable piece of

    birch ... ;o)

My respect for your abilities !

  • no,, it not what he ask for it have no handle, so im out i gess

  • sorry to burst your bubble, but he asked for a kuksa, a solid wood cup, no separate parts, carved out of one single piece of wood, look it up.

traditionally made from birch, either from a knot in the wood or from a solid piece.

  • You have to admit that cup was genius!

  • oh, i know, just not in the contest guidelines, he could try again with pine, no traditional, but skogkniv never said we needed to be traditional, just make one.

  • yeah i know, kuksa is cup with a handle,

    so im out :0)

  • not really, if you don't want to cut a live tree, cut one dead standing, even pine will work, just not traditional.

I can't see skogkniv complaining about materials, he never specified.

  • like i say, im out,, !

  • great work fredde, as usual. i can't top that! not by a long shot. lol great idea though. oh i got a good draft going in the lawu now =)

  • nice to hear you have a good draft in you tipee, :0)

    Iz

  • Very nice, Make 10 times bigger and you got a real cup :D

  • the only hickory i have here is in my axe handle,

  • lol you know what I mean. Got any pine?

  • if we have pine here up north,,, hehhehehe!!!!
