oh my God, I just played in the pit for my school's performance of this, and let me tell you, there pit is truly awful. I'm so glad I go to a school where good musicians are readily available

We did West side Story a year ago and critics say our school performed the best in all of the west schools, However, your school did a better job then we did. Great Performance!

Who did the choreography? Was Ms Persis or any of her staff involved?
Pretty good stuff, almost as good as 1971's version of the Music Man, AHS has quite the tradition, Ms.Eliis started it & I'm very proud the word excellence still apply's to the Colt Choir program.
ps this is great production, congrats for getting the opportunity to be part of it.

When was it that a student committed suicide in the theatre room? I graduated from AHS about ten years ago and always heard this story. You seem to know the territory. I was just curious.

In 1985, 17yr old J.Stailey, lead in winter play, performed Thurs.open night, came back to school Friday after lunch, pulled out sawed off shotgun & committed suicide in front of 4 classmates in Drama Room (located directly above auditorium) No one could figure out why, my niece was Sr at AHS, didn't know him, just knew Drama room was off limits rest of yr, no one allowed in.
Sad sidenote, happened again, Richardson HS 1991 student walked into class & shot himself in front of everyone.
