so i'm a little confused on a few things;

1) they were both wearing visors, so i don't see how that should be a penalty. If 1 guy is wearing 1 and the other guys isn't, that's a totally different story. But since they both were wearing visors, they had the same advantage/disadvantage.

2) What did Versteeg do to get a 1 game suspension? I didn't see any cheap shots or other unnecessary actions by Versteeg other than what's normal in a fight.

If anyone can answer it would be much appreciated.

1. it is not a penalty to fight with a visor. that rule does not exist and has never existed.

2. stupid instigator rule means that if you pick a fight with less than 5 minutes left in a game, you get suspended for one game.

But how are you supposed to take your visor off if you're already engaged with a player? Its different if you square off with a player and are sizing each other up. In that case, by all means, take your helmet off. But when two guys are already taking swings at each other, you can't just say to the other guy, "Excuse me, will you please stop fighting for a second and let me take off my helmet?" And you can always rip the other guy's helmet off if its not off already.

-One of the game misconducts is because his jersey came off in the fight. If it's not tied down and it comes off during a fight you get a game misconduct.

-The other game misconduct I'm not completely sure about. It's either in lieu of the 10 min misconduct normally associated with an instigator penalty, or it's because he was called for instigator while wearing a visor (which normally receives an unsportsmanlike 2min)
