Cap and Trade didn't work in Europe it just sent manufacturing jobs to Africa countries. Cap and Trade won't work here either, it will move even more companies overseas.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about, do you. I am an economics major and live in Europe. Which cap and trade systems are you referring to in specific? and "moving jobs to Africa", dude, I wish we would be able to create increased employment in Africa with intentional methods, not to speak of doing it as a side effect with creating an emissions trading system. What sectors do you mean by "moving companies overseas"?

As usual, Rep. Bachmann is absolutely right. Many people cannot afford to conserve, particularly when there are no alternatives. Punishing them with stupid, uber-Left legislation isn't the answer. Gimmick.

Only us Americans , would not drill our own oil , create our own nuclear plants , our own damn energy for the love of God we have it all here why on earth would leftiest be agasint this ? well for one it would require less international crap and they love to give our rights away

The Key is ALL of the above: there is no excuse for the USA to be total self reliant on ALL energy imports! AND YES THAT INCLUDES MINING OUR OWN URANIUM AND SOLAR + BIO + Wind + Wave + Using waste water to grow non food products for bio fuels ! ALSO DRILLING ! no more imported energy and that includes even Canada !
