@shamshamys Rest easy...the creator left the ending open for a reason. If Lelouch's death had been anything more than temporary, it would have been made clear. As it is, the open questions may set the stage for a continuation and, if not that, it brings us hope for the future.

The creator's ending is not the ending this series deserves! The loose ends must be closed, if not by them, then by the fans! The creator's interview shows that he didn't desire to give the show a happy ending, but a realistic one. As if Geass is realistic!
C.C. is the greatest unaccounted variable. Immortality is Lelouch's true punishment, not the release of death. ..

Though I initially supported Lelouch's death, I feel it as an affront to C.C. and to Lelouch himself. To accomplish so much, and yet to leave an unfulfilled promise behind? Lelouch has fooled the world before, many times.
@Majeh116 The story of it is as I (and many others) want to believe - that Lelouch unwillingly inherited his father's Code and not C.C's, thereby granting him immortal life. His death activates the Code, and he and C.C. meet in that light that resembles the World of C. She thought he was dead, but he wasn't. He still had a promise to keep.
It's heartwrenching. The story should have ended that way, a truly happy ending for all. And he doesn't go unpunished. Cecilia probably eats up his money!

Yeah, in regards to the creator, he seems quite selfish with the way he ends the plot, as though only his desire matters. I can sympathize with that, since everyone wants what they want, but honestly now...C.C. and Lelouch deserve more.

@assassinscreed00 I'm personally a lelouch and kallen fan as c.c is at least 700 years old but i dont think the ending would stick as well merely because i have seen the ending where one character gets resurrected (elfen lied if u are curious another great series though also incredibly depressing) and lives happily ever after with their lover and that ending seemed kinda like a cop out for me so i prefer the death ending as it stuck with me though i like sad stories so i may be biased

Am I the only one who starts crying every time I hear this song. I mean legit, while I was going through character songs, I saw this had the most views and clicked on it to see what it was. As soon as I heard 2 seconds of it, I felt the most intense chills up my spine and before I knew it tears started rolling down my cheeks...This is probably the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard in my life. No other song can do this to me.
Lelouch isn't dead. He achieved C.C's wish without killing her, so that she could live a normal human life with him. Nunnaly touched Lelouch's body and saw visions of what Suzaku and Lelouch planned. We saw this happen when Lelouch touched C.C's body when she was having a "fit" or when she was dead. To this, we can conclude that Lelouch has achieved immortality and became the new "witch."
@212puppy212 Hitomi made a made up language for some of her songs, rightfully named Hitomi. There isn't any real meaning to the actual said lyrics, but Hitomi might have said somewhere on the internet what the lyrics were meant to convey. :D

@shamshamys Rest easy...the creator left the ending open for a reason. If Lelouch's death had been anything more than temporary, it would have been made clear. As it is, the open questions may set the stage for a continuation and, if not that, it brings us hope for the future.

@Majeh116 at episode 24 or 25 of Season 2 in one of the scenes C.C approaches lelouch to kiss him and lelouch did the same (OR AT LEAST IT LOOKED VERY MUCH LIKE DAT)but kallen broke in to dat place with her guren to kill lelouch so they didnt. altough im sure of dat C.C. at least cares a lot about lelouch (FROM MY POINT OF VIEW SHES IN LOVE WITH HIM) and lelouch also cares about her a lot (HE PROBALY LOVES C.C. BUT HE DOESENT EXPRESS IT)dats wat im sure of 100%.

The creator's ending is not the ending this series deserves! The loose ends must be closed, if not by them, then by the fans! The creator's interview shows that he didn't desire to give the show a happy ending, but a realistic one. As if Geass is realistic!
C.C. is the greatest unaccounted variable. Immortality is Lelouch's true punishment, not the release of death. ..

@Majeh116 The story of it is as I (and many others) want to believe - that Lelouch unwillingly inherited his father's Code and not C.C's, thereby granting him immortal life. His death activates the Code, and he and C.C. meet in that light that resembles the World of C. She thought he was dead, but he wasn't. He still had a promise to keep.
It's heartwrenching. The story should have ended that way, a truly happy ending for all. And he doesn't go unpunished. Cecilia probably eats up his money!

It's easier to believe because nobody ever mentioned what happens when you make a contract with someone but inherit the Code from someone else. Not only that, the creators went to GREAT LENGTHS to ensure that there was no concrete proof of either ending. Lelouch with a code on his hand? Let's cover it in blood so neither ending is confirmed from it!

Of course, the third part was seriously depressing, especially with Suzaku reverting to how he was before Zero Requiem (i.e. a complete prick).
Yeah, in regards to the creator, he seems quite selfish with the way he ends the plot, as though only his desire matters. I can sympathize with that, since everyone wants what they want, but honestly now...C.C. and Lelouch deserve more.

Am I the only one who starts crying every time I hear this song. I mean legit, while I was going through character songs, I saw this had the most views and clicked on it to see what it was. As soon as I heard 2 seconds of it, I felt the most intense chills up my spine and before I knew it tears started rolling down my cheeks...This is probably the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard in my life. Lelouch isn't dead. He achieved C.C's wish without killing her, so that she could live a normal human life with him. Nunnaly touched Lelouch's body and saw visions of what Suzaku and Lelouch planned. We saw this happen when Lelouch touched C.C's body when she was having a "fit" or when she was dead. To this, we can conclude that Lelouch has achieved immortality and became the new "witch."
