How to use Japanese Beetle Traps

so what about trapping them indoors? I would think something like this shouldn't be used in the home for it would attract hundreds.. thousands.. could it cut down the amount coming in to the house if used outside?

For some reason, those beetles hate the ghetto. I grew up in Fairfield, CT and they were everywhere and some how moved my way down to Hartford and could not find one. Interesting.
