erm, no, not really! It has a jazzy descending chord feel to it but so did thousands of other songs (think of Stray Cat Strut or Minnie The Moocha for instance).
I need to pay attention the the GAME SHOW network more often. The GAME SHOW network is also responsible for the Tony and the Tigers video of "I'll Be on My Way" (A Beatles composition)
That was really cute, but short? I swear that chord progression is in something else much more popular...and *giggles* the drummer only needs one drum stick it seems...
The band members introduced themselves to Steve Allen as: Seth Evans, Jeffrey Comanor, Tedd Barron, Vic King and Pam Robbins. (No, John Lennon was not among them, regarding the earlier questions posted here.)
Jeffrey Comanor later became a songwriter; among his most famous compositions was the England Dan & John Ford Coley hit "We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again." Pam Robins (one 'b') later was in a group called "Wings" (not to be confused with Paul McCartney's band). I have a promo single by The Hi-Five on Vanguard from the same year as this clip, 1966.
Hey, I recognise that guy singing. I seem to remember him playing in a band that did shows at country bars. I also remember that he spent more time on his knees in the alley behind the place than on stage
I am not sure if it is him, in 1966 John had longer hair and was not as thin. He also never played bass. Also in 1966 they recorded 2 albums and toured America, I don't think he had time for a side project. I don't recall reading anything about this side project.

It needs a middle part... I liked it originally and then not as much as I realized it was repeating the same thing over

This was right after he finished his involvement with the film "How I won the War".

That's bullshit, that's not John Lennon.
I've read a lot of Beatle books and I would have heard about this.
Just because somebody has sideburns and glasses doesn't mean they are John Lennon.

@libraryquiet this is a longer clip from the same show after they played their song ... watch?v=QqtuADxIskw ... not John Lennon...
