@kevythedevil Not when your collecting data for the local university. Plus, I did put it down. It was in my hands for less than 4 minutes. So I don't see what the issue is. Finally, I didn't "bag" anything. I let it go just like you saw in the video. If you are going to read in-between the lines then you have to read the actual lines first. Don't jump to conclusions.

OMG i saw one of those while I was running today...I think I scared the snake and the snake scared me..b/c we both scrambled then stared at each other for a second (it popped its head up outta the grass) and then we scrambled away again. I NEVER RAN SO FAST IN MY LIFE!!!

Yes, definite Northern Black racer. I used to catch them growing up in Mass. What an awesome snake thanks for sharing. The northerns are such hulks compared to the southern subspecies, priapus.

Wow nice video and good information nice to see people who resect nature. funny thing I looked up black racer to show my son. he yelled to me today saying mom a snake i looked out back door it was a black racer. later on i let my jack russel out and she ran her normal traveling path and leaped back and ran to back door shaking and scared. her paw was bleeding I guess the racer tagged her, Shes fine though. She is scared to go outside now, lol poor baby
