  • I will try my sofa next time I'm on the roof.

  • WOW!..THANKS BOB!....GOTTA' CLEAN OUT MY FRONT GUTTER....NEAR THE EDGE.....YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!

  • @Tiggerpilot Be careful up there!+++Bob

  • great tip there bob may save some ones life !!!!!! dont forget a helmet .

  • Thank you very much for sharing this useful tip. It can come in real handy when an urgent roof job is required.

  • Wouldn't the foam have a tendency to blow off the roof.

  • does it stick to plywood?

  • how much does it cost for a piece of metal flashing that needs to be replaced under a window area? my husband was thinking of doing it himself with our neighbor who is very experienced with roofing (we haven't contact him yet in relation to what he thought it would cost). a roofer came out today and stated it would run us about 300 for just that section or 600 to redo the the whole way down underneath the windows

  • This guy sounds like he is from the Eastern Shore.

  • If you cut one that size in quarters, it's also great for washing the car. It's better than just throwing it away.

  • Great tip and my wife is like your wife, she doesn't like video taping at heights either!

  • Thank you for the tip!

  • This is an excellent tip for accessing a higher slope roof.....and being safe while doing so. Thanks for sharing this tip!

  • Look forward to using the great tip.

  • have you ever imagened what the neighboors think of you?

  • Lol ,I know most my closest neighbors, but they still think I'm a little light of normal! Thats ok thou I don't mind being seen as a little different.+++Bob

  • were is your safety harness

  • I was hoping to see someone accidentally super glue their ass to something

  • yea i was expecting that to.

  • your not the only one

  • If carrying it up too the roof is a problem because you have too many other things to bring up, I would guess a router pad which you could put in your pocket would do the same?

  • Great idea! I'm not even sure that Bob Villa, Bob the Builder or even Sponge Bob would have thought of that. Any ideas concerning my handmade antique terra cotta roof tiles?

  • I litteraly thought you where going to super glue your butt to the roof so you cant fall off lol.

  • i thought he was going to glue the foam to the back of his jeans. i'm glad that wasn't the case.

  • good idea, we use them all the time, adds stablility and can save you knees too. These are the kinds of ideas that when combined with common sense, can make roofing safe. Unfortunately, with all the harnesses, ropes and safety equipment that you are supposed to wear, you hardly have room for this... Ive seen more people trip over someone elses harness and fall flat on their face than i have seen people slip and fall on a roof. But if you dont follow the saefty regualtions, you pay the fine...

  • I am glad that I see this before I go up to the roof. Thanks again BOB !!

  • Very clever ! Thanks !

  • Great Idea, thanks!

  • once again, good advice, good idea.

    keep up.
