  • Yeah its really cool.

  • cool meagon

  • She is a very sweet, and brave young lady. I had happen to meet her one day five months after that happened, some miles way north of Salmon Creek. I think I remember her saying she more afraid after the fact then while it was happening. She is out surfing again, now. Good support system of her boyfriend and others.

  • that would be the fucking scariest thing ever.

  • Damn lady, that's bad ass!!!!! You shouldn't put shit like that on youtube, that's what makes people go out and want to get bit by sharks!

  • @jeslyfirefox It's very scary that Bull sharks can live in rivers or brackish waters. I have heard many scientist say they believe Bull sharks are more dangerous than Great Whites because of this and also because they have the highest level of testosterone so once they start to feed on something they continue the regardless if it is their normal prey. Atleast with Great Whites they seem more prone to not want to fight their prey especially if it doesn't taste good like humans.

    I hope a lo

  • I bet johnny is happy it didn't bite off her breasts

  • imagine a shark mating

  • u guys r retarded sharks are fish.........google dat shit

  • every1 says when they see a shark they will feel ok about it as long as it dosnt attack them. i have been 10ft away from a bull shark and trust me its not fun

  • @santaxs do you know that bull shark according to the list of the most dangerous shArk is the third most dangerous after tiger shark. and this shark can able to swim and thrives in the river and can be found in 4 ft. of water level. its so scary if this shark get frenzy..

  • I love white shark

  • Pretty sure shark's aren't mammals.

  • learn fucking english, and sharks are most definitely fish

  • americans are crazy guys they always goign to a water they dont know that great white shark inhabited that water. bodega beach is part and in the pheripery of that predator. americans are really nuts.

  • @jeslyfirefox But how many times has she surfed there and NOT been attacked. You can't live your life in fear of those things because the odds are you won't be bitten. This girl had some pretty bad luck.

  • @alwalk21 you asking me about that lady in that video right? she probably doing it once coz otherwise if she know it that of beaches there (bodega) in california is part of so called Red Triangle where the Great White Sharks are always roaming aorund in search of a prey..mostly seals and sea lions.. what you can do? dont swim in the water you dont know and familiar with and avoid swimming in the place where theres a colony of seal and sea lions.. thats theri food.

  • @alwalk21 and one thing more advice; its better swim in the beach in the company of so many people than swim alone. theres safety in numbers.. the shark has a lot to choose. lolz mostly attack came from those people who swim alone or farther from the shore.. be careful

  • those waves aren't 10 feet they're pretty small though.

  • @rollerdave114 It's called a reinactment :) They filmed it on a different day.

  • whem humans wants to have a good time nature still has to take it's course so calm down it's not important

  • i would never want a shark to bite me, but you have to admit that it left a damn cool scar.

  • @Dillan44 make sure that a bite's there instead of a missing chunk of your body lol

  • Wow scary!!

  • I swam about a half a mile out from that beach one time nothing happened but then i found out where i was swimming lol glad nothing happened

  • she's got pretty legs too. brave boyfriend. she should marry that guy.

  • Megan shoudl have listened the the tingling in her spine

  • its amazing they caught this on film,

the cameraman should have helped her in stead of focusing on getting good angles

  • It's a reenactment you retard.

  • hahahaa

  • its called sarcasim...

    im irish..

  • just when you think people couldn't get any dumber...

  • look up sarcasim

  • well the Shark did what only caly GWs do bite a release prey. they bite them and leave and let the prey die of blood lost then come back and eat them. so if noone else would have be there most likely she would have been eaten. the funn thing is this kind of hunting is only seen in Caly GWs.

  • The sharks release humans usually because they taste the human bones and realize that humans lack the large amounts of fat and flesh that typical Shark prey contain. Sharks don't like the taste and bones of humans so they usually bump or bite and then leave a human for more tasty and nourishing prey.

  • lucky shark i would like to bite her too XD

  • Her boyfriend was like 50 times her age.

    No, seriously.

  • thats the life guard not her bf lol

  • ahaha yea XD

  • She nearly lost her life and you're mocking her? You have no honor.

  • pwned lol

  • woow amazing shark

    i love sharks

    fuck you surfers!!!

  • sharks are just awesome. i know, they're just cool that way

  • that shark wasn't gonna eat that girl, it basically bit into her seeing what she was, after seeing all her buddies coming up towards him, he swam off to find some meat it does like. Or perhaps it was real hungry and knew exactly what was goin on. Unlikely tho, they are stupid animals. They just swim, eat and shit. Thats it.

Fish can't do shit, the world is and always will be mammol dominated.

  • "unlikely tho, they are stupid animals".

"the world is and always will be mammOl dominated".

    ironic.

  • Naughty shark...just because he can't get any female sharks of his own he has to go for the thighs of a human chick...

    Nah, just kidding.

I feel bad for Megan.. :(

  • well, I know not to go to that area. & no offence to the girl, but it was extremely stupid on her part to go away from group. sharks & other predators pick out their prey that is seprated from the group or is sick.

  • people are stupid

  • such an awesome story to tell at parties... haha

  • But we're uh...lima beans to them? ^.^

  • wow she has a really awesome boyfriend he saved her from a shark 0-0

  • poor girl. I wonder if someone has come up with a technology incorporated in the boards or suits that would drive away the shark before getting closed to the person.

  • the only 12 teeth in the shark

    oh man!

  • ok....lets just all swim out far out in the dark blue waters!! after watching jaws and knowing there are sharks there. :D

  • lol yeahhhh im sayin man these people put they self in these situations like they dont kno the dues and donts

  • The red triangle is a known stalking ground for great white sharks so why do people surf there? FUCKING CRAZY!!!!

  • Megan shoudl have listened the the tingling in her spine

  • Wait a sec...She got a warm feeling O.o shes just saying that because this event happened...

  • i am not a shark hugger, but it didnt eat her. it bit, let go, and left. i dont think her pushing on it scared it off. is there an attack where the shark actually ate the person? most die from hypovolemic shock right?

  • That's wat I thought.... Wat's hypovolemic shock again? I forgot.

  • It's pretty much organ failure due to extreme blood loss...

  • That is generally what they die of. I mean very rarely do we ever hear of a person getting like half of their body eaten off or something...

  • They sure look like seals.

  • I bet from that day they had to change the border of the triangle up to the village, right?

  • If your talking about where she was attacked, that village IS in the triangle...

  • i eat sharks

  • a shark bit me in the arm one time in miami and its not fun

  • holy shit , you don't have to cuss so much!

  • and that is why i stay out of the fucking ocean-you surfers got fuckin balls man-hangin out in the pond floatin around lookin like a tasty dudepop!

  • lol........LOL sorry this comment is just so arrogant and sounds like a 12 year old who just wet his bed

  • no u people always wanna go messin with anamails territory n shit

  • Noel are you thinking of Shamu?

  • actuly there is a killer whale named well sorry if i forgot T_T haha well anyways there should be a video about her on here but i forget were =S try finding it and you'll see and thanx for correcting me

  • Sharks to me are incredibly frightening. The movie Jaws is one of my favourite movies and I do find Sharks fascinating. However as it is true they really aren't "man eaters" they are extremely dangerous and they've survived millions of years for good reason. People need to understand that the only reason why Sharks attack people is because they're being mistaken for another animal. Sharks have no idea what humans are. We're all just meat to them.

  • I would also like to add that when they do attack, it is not an act of malice.

  • Very true, I mean they don't even protect their own young.

  • You mean "Orca".

  • were's ogre when you need her? (a killer whale shark who kills and eats sharks)

  • Orcas aren't whales. Maybe you meant "Oprah" !

  • Orcas are actually a type of Dolphin which is cousin to the Whales. So they're sorta whales :D

  • Orcas are whales. Dolphins are whales. Orca's are not a type of dolphin. Orcas are a species of whale.

  • Orcas are not whales and neither are dolphins. Orcas are a species of dolphin; they belong in the Delphinidae family and thus qualify as dolphins, even though they're commonly called whales. And dolphins are NOT whales.

  • They're considered "cousins"

  • long lost cousins! twice removed. lol.

  • ur dumb as shit

  • I'd tell you to shove it and refer to VoyagerXB1's comment, in which he truthfully states that using profanity makes you seem ignorant. And plus, I'm not even sure whether you know what the word ignorant means, so lemme put it in your terms: "dumb as shit." And, if I may ask, why am I dumb as shit?

    Am I wrong?

    If so, prove it.

  • Dolphins are not whales

  • lol

  • i saw this news on msn page

  • It's said that sharks dont like the taste of humans, like the moment sharks bite ppl they let go becuhs they dont like how we taste, lol :P

  • Uhh...what are those dildos doing hanging like onions from the wall behind her?

  • I live near this beach and i usually go to the one just a little south. Yet i never go out to far because the whole coast area is a breading ground for the great white sharks. I know this is a rare occurance but still i wouldn't take the chance i like my limbs. but other than that the beaches are nice but the water is cold as hell.

  • she is so lucky the shark didnt start thrashing once he got her leg.. things could've gone soo much worse

  • Perverator, maybe before you start ignorantly calling for another great white massacre, you should focus on fixing your grammar first? The red triangle is THE most notorious place in the nation to surf, so it's their own fault for surfing in it. If you go running in the savanah and get attacked by a lion, it's not the lion's fault you were an idiot for running where its prey lives.

  • You are 100% correct. See kids, he made his point without the use of profanity. Using profanity only makes you sound ignorant. If you play in the sharks feeding area, chances are, you are going to get bit.

  • /agree 100%

  • i rest my case

  • nasty bastards fuck them kill them! "normaly they dont attack human" thats what is told us, well i dont give a fuck he actually did and needs to be shoot!

  • You fucking moron! God i hate stupid people like you.

If i had my way i'd throw you in a oven and Gas you....LOL

  • well you fucked up idot tell me why then? this is not a reason assfucker! talking shit and dont even tells why! sure a assfucked son of a btich for sure!

  • LOL...evil.. >_<

  • I like when shark apologists say things like "BUT THEY DON'T NORMALLY EAT HUMANS!!" Well yeah, I don't "normally" eat red meat but sometimes I just gotta have that cheeseburger!

  • lol

  • And the other one I like: "THEY MISTAKE SURFERS FOR SEALS". LOL. Here's a shark. Been hunting in its natural habitat for the past 10 million years, and it can't tell the difference between a seal and surfboard? Yeah, Like I went to buy a tuna steak the other day but when I when I unpacked my shopping I realized I'd bought a frisbe by "mistake" !!

  • but dont tell people then that sharks dont eat humans "normaly" cuz they do as you can see so dont make em like they are the victims!

  • If shark attacks are on the rise, it is because of changes in their natural environment--usually caused by something man-made, like pollution. This is the reason attacks in the Gulf of Mexico are on the rise.

  • well tell that to that poor girl -.-!

  • It is terrible and I am sorry for her, but unless we (humans) stop wiping out natural habitats, things like this will continue to happen. National Geographic magazine has already explored this. Also, animals act on instinct and not on malice.

  • I agree. I'm so glad that she's alive, but shark attacks are not a reason for people to want to kill them off. Killing off any species before it's time would affect the earth negatively. I admit that there are a few maneaters out there, but humans also have to take responsibility. If another predatory animal like a bear bit someone, there are very few people that would want to exterminate every living bear.

  • i never said that humans are holy! i mean look at us we even kill eachother i just got pissed when i saw the girls wound that made me crazy! humanity? you can compare that with a virus that destroyes the world slowley but surely :(

  • Your point on how humans kill one another (mostly for material gain) is excellent; animals solely kill for survival...

  • That's a misconception. Many animals kill for the sheer hell of it.

  • Can you provide some examples?

  • I agree with you bear analogy. I think that pop culture films like "Jaws" have done more harm than good. Sharks are indeed a part of a greater eco system.

  • i never said that humans are holy! i mean look at us we even kill eachother i just got pissed when i saw the girls wound that made me crazy! humanity? you can compare that with a virus that destroyes the world slowley but surely :(

  • my penis is milking itself!

  • ROFL

  • im scared of sharks...prolly an irrational fear...but still, i freak out about it, haha

  • She sure has sexy legs still even after the bite

  • Sharks actually scare me, but then its coz im not used to them-Great Whites dont exist in England...well not frequently!

  • spiders scare people.. people are scared of almost everything when it comes to pain or immenent danger. except emos.. paint the shark black and theyd be happy

  • XD got that right!

  • God that must of hurt like hell

  • "The waves were cresting at 10 feet." What a crock. There's no way her or her kook boyfriend were surfing 10 foot waves. They sure got lucky though with the off-duty lifeguard.

  • Lucky for her there was a lifegaurd and a whole bunch of surfers around

  • It's not a tiger, they were in California, so it was a great white.

  • no you idiot, i was saying if it was a tiger shark, then it would of been going for a meal, i was saying tiger shark to clarify as i originally only said tiger, for spastics who wouldnt even get that. i know it was a great white, hence so little damage but a wide spacing on the impact areas on the thigh. get a brain.

  • tiger shark. to clarify

  • these arent "attacks" look at the wounds, you think something that big would do that lil damage if it was trying to do anything but check out what she was. it was an exploratory bite, and this kinda crap is stupid, and makes losers think sharks are out to get them. it cant poke you or take a wiff, so it has to bite you to see if it likes you, great whites are picky, if it was a tiger it would of been a different story.. and brave.. she didnt do anything expcet get rescued. argh.

  • true great whites dont like the taste of human blood.

  • LIES.

Sharks can smell a drop of blood MILES away.

And that's when the adrenaline kicks in, and the frenzy begin.

  • brave biatch

  • thats the risk you take when you get on the sharks buffet

  • Gd job she didn't die, shes quite fit, would have been an awful waste :D

  • rofl i know this is realy but im just wondering howd dey vid it? they even got the shark, she says she was alone... someone was viding it? lol help shoulda come erlier then? girl is lucky, but im just saying might be fake but shes real lucky :p

  • Ha ha, no no. These shows typically make re-enactments so the viewer gets an idea of happened during whatever situation they may be discussing. It looks like the real girl, but was most likely an actor, or they used the same people to reenact what happened long after she was good and healed. :)

  • omfg !!! shes lucky to be alive !!! =O

  • sens suck

  • 18-19 feet?! Whoa. If you Laid 3 twin beds end to end, it would be THAT long!

Lucky it was just a test bite. If it was an attack, she would have been missing a leg.

  • that lifeguard deserves a medal

  • wow that is scary!!!!!

  • So national geographic did a re-creation using the actual attack victim? That seems a little strange.

  • She is sooo lucky that shark let go. It probably realized she wasnt a seal. It just proves that sharks are not blood thirsty killing machines. It could have easily killed her and all her rescuers. Amazing story.

  • "It proves that sharks are not blood thirsty killing machines"

Just because you THOUGHT the shark gave up before it thought she wasn't a seal, it means they're not dangerous? The shark gave up because she was Chuck Norris' neice, twice removed. She round our kicked it in the face.

The last part was made up, but still. It doesn't prove a thing.

  • crazy girl
