@Spitative Western Field rifles were sold at Montgomery Wards. If you're too young to remember Montgomery Wards, it was like WalMart or Target and they actually sold guns and boats along with underwear and dishes. The actual rifles were made by manufacturers like Remington, Mossberg and Winchester. If you want an old .22 rifle, the best place to look would be your local gun shop or gun show. Find one in the best condition you can afford, and have fun. :)

Lol in Australia in the ACT the youngest age to shoot a rifle at a range is 12, ive been doing rifle target shooting for 5 years. But the ACT makes sure you know all the saftet rules before they let you handle a gun (Only allowed to handle a .22. After two classes of rifle target shooting and saftey, you must have a permit, and a parent or adult guardian have a firearm licsense.

I haven't been able to locate a magazine for this Western Field. There's no model number on the rifle, so I can't cross reference it and find the original maker of the rifle. I've compared it to other 22s by remington, winchester, savage, marlin etc, but haven't found a match. One of these days I'll find the correct mag.
