  • Wow now I kinda wanna see a huge remake cross over of New Thundercats, a retooled tiger sharks and a re tooled Sliverhawks

  • The theme song is not as good as Thundercats or Silverhawks

  • Animation was far superior in the 80's when mirrored with today's run-of-the-mill 'toons. *Sigh...*

  • Hawks sharks and Cats, The 80's were awesome dude, like totally gnarly.

    I remembrer all three vividly..

  • @neoarchangemon Funny thing there were all made by the same people that did the Christmas specials, Rankin-Bass. Its like if you grew up in the 80's then Rankin-Bass had a great influence on you.

  • oh no first cartoon I watched in vhs tape..hehehehe..

  • I never even heard of this show until the Thundercats remake. And I grew up in the 80's!

  • Mako is princess Ruto's dad

  • I remember the Thundercats and barely the Silverhawks but I don't remember the Tigersharks at all.

  • I remember when this was out. I lived in florida at the time and funny enough...that was the only time i saw it.

  • @Fragminion - Could you give some options for a better title? Notice I said BETTER, not DIFFERENT.

  • It would be cool if someone would reboot TigerSharks & SilverHawks like ThunderCats was rebooted.

  • Did this ever air? I was around during this time period, watching cartoons, and I have no memory of this whatsoever.

  • What the bionicle symbol is doing here?

  • damn I consider myself a connoisseur of 80's cartoons and don't remember this one...

  • @jonedc That was my reaction too.

  • Why is this show called "tigersharks" if all the characters don't turn into sharks?

  • @Fragminion It sounds cooler.

  • not sure about back then but all three are in universe in the new thundercats series.

  • I forgot all about this cartoon

  • tigersharks, its like picking the two animals in the world that are likely to rip off a new one out of anyone and combine them.

  • was that the bionicle symbol in the corner?

  • @rahnshen YES YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh my! It's a female Cthulhu!

  • Comment removed

  • Didnt the ship talk or something? I remember when the bad guys took human form, they some how got in to the tank that transforms the tiger sharks from human to fish.

  • I'm really, REALLY hoping these guys get cameos in the new ThunderCats. Same with SilverHawks.

  • @BrainComm487 I agree. It would rock, but chances are almost zero =(

  • Supposedly they are all in the same universe in the new Thundercats series on Cartoon Network. The creators of the show have hinted that we might see Silverhawks and Tigersharks in future episodes of the show.

  • @leachcraft I'm not going to lie. To me that would be AWSOME!!!

  • @leachcraft

whot?! plz point me to that article, so i can read it.

how the heck are they going to explain the silverhawks being human/cyborg and the tigersharks being human/animal hybrids in context to the thundercats being full on anthro cats? i think they should reboot the series separately it seems less chaotic than trying to weave together some grand continuity.

  • @eph26er

Most fans always thought of the three original shows to be in the same universe. Given the themes in this new Thundercats series, Silverhawks and Tigersharks actually fit better in the new universe than they did in the original. BTW, there wasn't an article, it was talked about at the Thundercats panel at Comic Con.

  • @leachcraft

really? most?my friends and i all grew up watching these shows as kids and none of us thought or think of them as being the same universe. C:

i do agree that maybe the new version could pull it off a bit better than the old show could, but i still don't want to see it. they didn't cross over then so why do it now? for the sake of our collective nostalgia?

nostalgia would be better served with separate reboots, it's too expensive tho.

a comicon panel? is it on YT? i'll look for it.

  • @eph26er

Because fans, me included, want to see them together. There is no way they would do a full Silverhawks or Tighersharks series...They weren't popular even when they first came out. It makes more sense to have them as characters within the Thundercats series. It's nothing integral, just a bit of fan service. Those characters really fit in the new series mythos. As for the comic con panel info...I read it on Comic Book Resources (CBR).

  • @eph26er Silverhawks was in same universe, there was a police chick on a bike in Thundercats episode she was lookin for a fugitive escaped from penal planet, and then shortly after the Silverhawks show came on and she was the crossover. Tigersharks was created by same people but I'm not sure if its same universe. It was I belive on Sundays on a special format called "Sunday Comics' with Karate Kat and Camp Minimon. They would show parts of the episodes then start another show, then jump back

  • No one believes me when I describe this show.

  • The animation of the 80's to me looks so much better than anything today. Just the artwork, which might of been developed by Japanese and animated in Korea. I do believe that GI Joe and The Transfromers (1980's) had to of been designed by Japanese artist, it totally looks Japanese, but most things are animated in Korea.

  • I clicked this video in hopes to learn something useful about Tiger Sharks...

  • Silver hawks and Thundercats animation??

  • @MajCinematic yep! same company should've done a huge crossover

  • This show was terrible.

    I love it. XD

  • "Look into my eyes, as they stare and ogle... do as I say, or your mind will BOGGLE!!!" lmao Good times! Can't beat 80's cartoon shows. ;)

  • i bet the japanese would love the octopus chik

  • @jzornthgrt yep! anything weird looking with tenticals

  • @jzornthgrt She brings her own tentacles.

  • wow gracias has despejado un enigma que tenia en mi mente del nombre de esa serie

  • I just barely remember this. I loved Silver Hawks, I toleratefd Thundercats. This I only vaugely remember. The formulae was played out by the time they put ou tthis one.

  • All hail Tart of Eto Rangers!

  • Sounds like early 80s Styx.

  • OMG!!!!! I remember this...just barely thought lol...damn

  • Thunder Cats: Earth

Silver Hawks: Wind / Air / Space

    Tiger Sharks: Water

  • @kbas9000

    Needs a crossover

  • Even the metallic font is from thundercats. Same producers probably.

  • @HyperSonicXtreme They're both by Rankin/Bass

  • Anyone know where i can watch this now?

  • TigerSharks, SilverHawks, ThunderCats...all made by Rankin/Bass Productions and distributed by Lorimar-Telepictures. Same voice actors too...just to clear things up. One other thing, TigerSharks was part of the Comic Strip block which included Street Frogs, Karate Kat and The Mini-Monsters. It's a shame...they just don't make'em like they used to.

  • Land: Thundercats

    Air: Silverhawks

    Sea: Tiger Sharks

    same format for all three

  • @evchild You just blew my mind! 0.0

  • @evchild yeah man, I bet they were from the same company or antagonising.

  • @evchild Combine them all in one show, and then...?

  • @KROMEangel it would be called "silver thunder sharks" that actually sounds kinda badass.

  • @KROMEangel Let me guess WATCHMEN REBORN.

  • @evchild It would've been the coolest thing to make a movie with all 3 groups fighting the forces of evil, like they did with the Gobots and those creatures made of stone that I can't seem to remember what they were called(the leader call himself Boulder..)I guess they missed their chance...

  • @vgeuc69 Rock Lords.

  • @vgeuc69 I'm really, REALLY hoping these guys get cameos in the new ThunderCats. Same with SilverHawks.

  • @evchild ARMY

    AIRFORCE

    NAVY

  • @evchild join them and then we have the CENTURIONS!

  • @evchild

    and man they where great!!!

i think thats why most of our generation has a fight siprit

  • @evchild Silverhawks are more in space, Wouldn't air be SwatCats?

  • damn the same guys who did thunder cats and silver hawks may have did this one too but the love def aint there! it all seems like one big rip off....and its the 80's....why such a lame opening song?!

  • This had so much potential to be better off as a standalone series. But they held back and gave us 12 mini-episodes? Ah, well... considering another season of Thundercats was airing at the time, I can't blame them for playing it safe and being a little stringent on their budget.

  • thanks for reminding me of this show, I used to love it (along with thundercats and silverhawks). The animation is still really impressive. I love how the octopus lady spreads her arms and then looks up before transforming, it's so cool looking.

  • i know street frogs, mummies alive, extreme dinosaurs, street sharks and biker mice from mars but i dont knew this one.

  • wow, this was one of my favorite cartoons. thanks for uploading =)

  • i h8 his cartoon from the begining!!

  • Tigersharks, Silverhawks, & Thundercats were made by the same group, just a few years apart. S-hawks &T-cats had their own shows. Tigersharks was paired with another cartoon, the name of which escapes me

  • @corneliusgca Think the name of the cartoon was "The Comic Strip."

  • Wow. The music actually had wisp of Tower Of Power on it.

  • Now that i look back at this i realize that it's a ridiculous rip off of Thundercats.

  • @periechontology it wast made by the same people right? just like the silver hawks.

  • That's exactly what I just said.

  • Questa non me la ricordo. Credo di non averla vista. Bella comunque la sigla.

  • still have the main character action figure.

  • I miss childhood

  • now I need to watch this again. soooo much

  • this was so awesome back then!!

  • i 4got abt this

  • Ya, these 3 80's cartoons were fun. All done by Rankin and Bass. Who also did the animated Hobbit and Return of the King classics. If you pay attention you can see lots of similarities in the artwork.

  • Tigersharks,Stellhawks, and Thunder Cats are all owned by the same company. I was waiting for a crossover between the shows. Heck, I had a dream that Lion-O went to the Tigersharks and used that transformation tank to become an fishlike version of himself.

  • A CATFISH....LOLOLOLOL

  • Because "classic" doesn't mean "intelligent". They might be great reminders of our childhood, but that HARDLY makes them less cheesy or riddled with plotholes.

I love old school Transformers with a passion, but let's face it, these shows are so full of cheese and corn they could constitute their own mexican entree.

  • whats wrong with u!!! as u can see there are more corn farmers in the US than in Mexico, and ur also wrong those old cheesy cartoons were the best and will always be in the memory of those who really appreciate art, not like ur pakemon and stupid pawar ranjers all full of fiction....thats really stupid, u just jealous cus ur mom never let u watch those cool cartoons =p

  • ...You obviously either can't, or chose not to read what I actually said. First, use better spelling, it helps convey your point. Second, pokemon and power rangers are "full of fiction" but Thundercats or Silverhawks and such aren't? You live in a fantasy world. I grew up in th '80's. I watched thes cartoons, but if you consider them anything less than corny and trite, you don't see them or love them for what they really are. They're awesome, yes. But they're also hilarious unintentionally

  • OK lets see, in the 80s we had "Tigersharks", "Thunder cats", "Silver Hawks". I m sure their are other cartoons of this time that had two cool words mostly with animal names in them to make a cartoon show but I guess from these titles you can tell how sophisticated we were back then. Ha ha

  • Thats a Cool Drum Groove

  • Ahhh.....the 80's

  • i remember my siblings and i used to call out the tiger sharks distress signal everytime we were in trouble..

    tiger tiger by the tail!

    hold on tiger shark!

    lol.

  • that line is very catchy

  • the girl (in the octopus form) is waaay hot! oh my god.... old memories from childhood.

  • Tigersharks. Street Frogs. Karate Kat. Mini Monsters! Hahahahaha.

  • It's awesome how it's mostly "Hold On" and "Tigersharks" over and over and it still rocks.

  • Hah.. the sweet nostalgia... I miss those shows.

  • tanx dude. dis show waz awesome.

  • What a cool fucking name!

  • the hoakiness is why i want to make new episodes, with better story plots. i even made a new opening scene for an episode. unfortunately, i tried to use cheap crayons to color it, since i cant figure out how to use MS Paint effectively, and it came out blurry.

  • i think this from the COMIC STRIP cartoon series. Tiger Sharks, Street Frogs, Karate Kat & cant remember the other one.

  • The font is almost identical to that of the Thundercats.

  • Tigershark, Thundercats & Silverhawks were done by the same company if im not mistaken.

Hence the animation similarities & grat movements.

  • would it be wrong to say i got goosebumps from beginning to end of this intro? ^_^

  • really love this... brings back memories of my childhood.. =)

  • me too..i was a young'un in TNT watching this all the time...

  • Yea, I never liked the show but loved the intro.

  • Have to agree, this show just was waaaay too hoaky. And thats saying something considering I loved ThunderCats & Silverhawks.

  • what the hell is youtube's problem now? i just checked for the episode videos posted by Shadowboro, and they were deemed in violation of usage terms.

  • What garbage!!! Those episodes he had were old stuff too. Isn't there a time limitation to copyrights before it becomes free domain? I'm pretty sure that if there is, most of these shows are way past the expiration date.

  • Copyrights can only become public domain if the parent company does not file for rights extensions. All of the old Rankin-Bass cartoons are currently owned by Time-Warner, so as long as they keep renewing the rights for the show they won't fall into public domain.

  • Some of you people are insane. This theme song and graphics in the intro is awesome!!! That was my favorite part of the show. When I was young, I made sure I didn't miss the intro. The show is not as good as Thundercats or Silverhawks, but the graphics were just as good.

  • OMG! I'm an italian girl and I watched them when I was a child and finally I found again.I'm so excited!

  • its true what they say, you really can't unwatch something :(

  • this was a great cartoon i really liked it just like the thundercats.

  • @homless18 they are thundercats ! ( in fish form ! )

  • @hoodrichGMP yeah i see that

  • @homless18 word right ?

  • @homless18 just look at how ther characters jump around through the screen

  • What can I say, Thundercats under the sea. Not a bad show, but Thundercats was better

  • ROFL what the f*ck?

  • this was like thundercts meets silverhawks under water.

I never really got into the show. I barely watch a couple of episodes.

  • all 3 were made by the same company

  • unlike silver hawks or thundercats, there wasn't a cool shot of the villain of the series.....who was the villain?

  • Captain Bizzarly. Not sure if I spelled that properly.

  • I forgot how funky it was. I'm digging the saxaphone.

  • lol wtf

  • Wow I remember this I loved the whole thing wasn't the other cartoon about little Monsters in a summer camp really cool Hulk Hoagan had his own cartoon and Mr T and Mc Hammer

  • hold on tiger tiger...lol

  • tigersharks! hooo..arghhblurb (drowning cause they are underwater)

  • This show was neat, the only problem was it was part of the show Comic Strip and it wasnt in nearly enough episodes,

  • Ah, the 'lost' little bro of the Thundercat/Silver hawk era of shows.

  • whoa!

  • it is kinda funny that all three shows thunder cats sliverhawks and tigersharks are from the same company the animation are the same and the music is all done by same guy and one thing i have notice all shows are done my three diffrent elements and animals earth - thundercats water- tigersharks and air-space sliverhawks it is too bad i could only watch sliverhawks and thundercats the only time i could watch tigersharks was when i was out of town in oklahoma when i was an child

  • Tiger Tiger by the tail!!!

    Hold on Tiger Tiger!!!

    Hold on Tigershark!!!

  • wish i can watch those comic strip cartoons again :(

  • WOOHOOO TIGERSHARKS WOW.

  • OMG I barely remeber this show ....I was like 6 or 7...it looks all Thundercats in the animation

All these shows were copying each other back then

Silverhawkes was like this but in outerspace.

Look at the gimicks being re-used every which way!!

  • they where all the same people

  • That makes sesne ;)

  • This one never aired here in my country...

At least I dont remember it

  • has anyone here bothered to go watch the new TS uploads by Shadowboro?

  • What's up with all these old themesongs being like thirteen seconds long? Nowadays, themes are usually thirty seconds to a minute and the commercials take up another ten minutes of the show, it seems. Guess the budget for big flashy themes weren't that much back then. Or maybe they wanted something short that kids could remember.

  • holy shit. i loved this show. too bad it didnt hold up against Thundercats or Silverhawks.

come to think of it, did the same company make Thundercats, Silverhawks and Tigersharks. all of the intros look the same lol

  • i agree..

    also spiral zone.

  • yeah.

    land.sea. air.

    nice.

  • Wow. Good observation. I never noticed that.

  • @atomiicx and the characters look alike too

  • @atomiicx this shit is freaking me out. I do not recall the Silverhawks or the Tigersharks but damnit they have to have been made by the same guys.

  • @atomiicx yep it was Rankin/Bass Productions. They made some awesome material

  • @SarahSauRc - totally agree!!

  • The eighties were the golden age of cartoons. This new stuff they show kids is cheap crap! that's my opinion.

  • The the 40's and 50's were the Golden years of cartoons. Looney Tunes, Disney, Hanna Barbera, etc.

The 80's was the grand finale of cartoon greatness and the Golden years for ACTION cartoons. After about 1995 it was all over.

  • at least that time no internet...

  • bad man cartoon that cant forget it tiger sharksssssssssssss man i miss all dem ole time cartoons

  • i remember thundercats and silverhawks, but not this one.

  • This was part of the "Comic Strip" show. each episode shows 2 alternating cartoons (TigerSharks, Karate Kat, Street Frogs, Mini Monsters). It only lasted 1 season. It was made by the same people that made SilverHawks and ThunderCats. ThunderCats was more popular and lasted more than 1 season.

  • I remember them all!

  • never seen this one,bummer

  • same creators of Thundercats and Silverhawks......crossover will be awesome!

  • Well that certainly explains alot. I remember all three. It is comforting to know that somoene just found a winning formula and stuck with it as apposed to being rip offs of each other.

  • ahh memories....

  • awesome! one of my favorite toons of all time.

toons then were great, now i don't think they're even good. just my opinion.

  • this show was killer, great intro!

  • Extreme Dinosaurs and Iron Man (1996) have the best INTROS ever!!!

  • No...

  • This was my favorite cartoon as a kid I really hope they get it out on dvd or something so i can buy it.

  • Now that's something that I would like to see turned into a live action movie. :) Not the Comic Strip but Tigersharks.
