  • Great workout you don't have to be Asian you just need to be patient and put the time in. Martiaphoto started from nothing. Remember pactice makes perfect great video well done.

  • okay everything nice but everytime I stretch my legs oposite I feel pain in my knees ,why is this ?

  • @AlexKuetFam do you mean the muscles and that back side of your knees? if yes, that is because the muscles you use to bend your knees are back there so when you straighten your legs completely, they are stretched out and then when you bend your body towards your feet, it over stretches it which is the point so then you can stretch farther. if no, then i dont know.

  • @scythhalotrial in real martial arts/ real fight u would be either very brave or stupid to do a high kick. Ive wasted tkd students who are very flexible in comps with pure basic karate. You putbyourself at risk

  • @weavercomputers well thts cause tkd ppl telegraph there kicks alot, they throw all of it at once,. meaning they turn lift there leg, and swing the leg nad hip out making it predictable EVERYTIME. also tkd is one of the few martial arts tht require u to be like 3 or 4 dan black belt to be any good, if u fight like the 7th dan ones, u like trained in tkd for like 20 or 30 yrs their kicks will utterly destroy u. u just gotta mae it interesting, as long as its close dist. high kiks ur good :D

I'll just keep kicking high, I used to kick high when i was a younger by just repeating everyday.

  • Hi, is it also possible to reach high kicks with this method at any point in time without warming up? I know some fighters that are only able to kick high after a warm up, which costs time that you would not have during a streetfight...

  • @thebas15 play psp and if you wanna increase ur flexibility fast u need at least to stay like 15 minutes that why yoga ppl are so flexible because they stay like that hours long and i=dont worry itl only hurt for 1-2 minutes after that it wont be as painfull

  • Thanx for the video. i just realized that pain is not something u feel but its what u make out of it with your mind, if u find the perfect concentration point, u will forget the pain ur feeling and it will help you out alot more. especially in stretching!

    Few months man, but make sure you warm up before, otherwise you'll get a torn muscle sooner or later. Take it seriously, because I didn't, and I had an injury for some time because of it.

  • i know what the video says but i cant seem to get my leg really any higher then my hips... but is it cause i have to stretch only and then i can? or is it just more about technique and how to do it? i know the stretching is important and if it is cause i have to stretch more how long would it possibly take if i do your stretching techniques?

    If you kick front facing you will struggle to get it above the hip, but if you rotate your hips to face 90 degrees away you should be able to gain more height as your body is more flexible that way.

  • @TwistofLemon12 Stretch once per day, at least 3-5 times per week. In order to get a full split, it can take 3 months to 1 year, depending on your body type and your genetics.Or, instead, you can stretch 2 days, then rest 2 days, then repeat.

    Cheater splits will not help you to kick high. Try to practice a proper split from now on. Make sure your chest and hips are facing forward. Good luck :)

  • I just started your routine today, but I can tell you really know what you're talking about and I can already feel the stretch. I plan on continuing it and get my high kick to where I want it.. GREAT VIDEO!!! :)
