1. Gameplay: Evey game just has to stop in making games to unrealistic in a logical type of sense. like carrying more weapons or items even bigger than ur whole body can handle or carry or fit into. limitation is a good thing if you know when to use it. just look at halo 1 gun 1 big gun and some small bombs and other little things. that's perfect and realistic.
2 Story: A good story should be base on what revolves around the main character rather than making 50 different stories and change up the story for each new scene or

The thing about wos was that it had a rey lame storyline that rly didn't make sense. BAA actually had a story that made sense. It was the jokers perfect crime.
the spiderman combat system: hit square for kicks and punches, hit triangle for web attacks( mix it up with square and triangle to create new combos) and finally circle to preform a spider sense counter attack or just a spider sense dodge when the spider sense "tingles". @Rnzzy Actually, the Joker never fell into a chemical vat in the comics. That origin is just a rumor. No one knows his actual origin (not even him). There's been multiple origins of Joker shown in flashbacks in the comics but they're all just rumors of how he became the Joker. This is later explained in The Killing Joke when he says "Sometimes I remember it oneway, sometimes another. If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice." So the way he became the Joker is still unknown.
i thought web of shadows was pretty legit. honestly the only reason i played spiderman games was because of the free roaming, limiting the scope of spiderman wouldnt be good at all lol

Spiderman Web Of Shadows was the best for all spiderman games, but sadly IGN is right the camera should be closer to spiderman and the fighting style should have more different moves then just punching and hitting and they should get great voice actors for the games and put out more stories in the game.
The original Spiderman game was by far the best. Original story and fun gameplay is what makes a game... at least in it's time. Ahhh how I miss the 90s when not everything was about graphics and "frame rate".
So they want a game that doesn't give you a wide open world to roam like Batman Arkham Asylum. Spider-man does this with their last 2 games and they both suck. Arkham City comes out with its open world game and gets a perfect score from GI and a 9.5 from IGN. I don't think the open world was the problem. Spider-man just needs a developer that focuses on quality rather than money.

Thanks to this IGN guy, the last two Spider-Man games were pieces of shit. Spider-Man can't shine without an open world New York City to web swing around in. And Web of Shadows came so close to being a fantastic Spider-Man game. One more made by the same people in the same style (hopefully with lessons learned), could have been something special. Instead, we just get these boring, linear games like Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time (the latter is considerably worse than the former).

WoS was mediocre. its story was bland and so was the morality, the characters was bland and serve no point in the game like moon knight for example, it was glitchy, the voice acting was bad, the combat can get clunky at times, it was uncontrollable, the fight scenes were unresponsive, it was just a mess. i do agree that EoT was boring and mediocre but at least there were some hard work put into this. wait for the amazing spiderman and MUO when they come out.

To me the only thing that spiderman games need to truely develop and work on, is Narrative. The PSOne SM games were awesome, because of the story. Spiderman and Batman have alot in common as far as being very character driven comics. Thats what Spider-man needs to go back to, the story.
@oss182 I've been following EOT, and Im a David fan, but I looks like a sequel to Shattered Dimensions. Im talking a Singular SM experince. That feels like a spiderman simulator, not the flash in the pan that most Spidey games get. I do admit SM games do give you a quick burst of joy and some fun is to be had, but they lack replay value.

I thought free roam was amazing in spiderman 2. just swinging around is a game in itself because of how many incredible things you can do. I mean it feels like actually being spiderman, and being spiderman swinging around on a uneventful day is more fun than "saving the world" with a video game program that looks like spidey but is completely controled by script and see-through video game mechanics.
it's not mandatory though, and I agree on the rest.

yeah combat in BMAA was the simpilest ever, string together combos and counter and solve the opponants abbalitities in one strike, SMWoS, just press the same button, and bust out a big combo, so spiderman shouldkeep it "simple"

the spiderman combat system: hit square for kicks and punches, hit triangle for web attacks( mix it up with square and triangle to create new combos) and finally circle to preform a spider sense counter attack or just a spider sense dodge when the spider sense "tingles". @Rnzzy Actually, the Joker never fell into a chemical vat in the comics. That origin is just a rumor. No one knows his actual origin (not even him). There's been multiple origins of Joker shown in flashbacks in the comics but they're all just rumors of how he became the Joker. This is later explained in The Killing Joke when he says "Sometimes I remember it oneway, sometimes another. If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice." So the way he became the Joker is still unknown.

Thanks to this IGN guy, the last two Spider-Man games were pieces of shit. Spider-Man can't shine without an open world New York City to web swing around in. And Web of Shadows came so close to being a fantastic Spider-Man game. One more made by the same people in the same style (hopefully with lessons learned), could have been something special. Instead, we just get these boring, linear games like Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time (the latter is considerably worse than the former).

WoS was mediocre. its story was bland and so was the morality, the characters was bland and serve no point in the game like moon knight for example, it was glitchy, the voice acting was bad, the combat can get clunky at times, it was uncontrollable, the fight scenes were unresponsive, it was just a mess. i do agree that EoT was boring and mediocre but at least there were some hard work put into this. wait for the amazing spiderman and MUO when they come out.

I thought free roam was amazing in spiderman 2. just swinging around is a game in itself because of how many incredible things you can do. I mean it feels like actually being spiderman, and being spiderman swinging around on a uneventful day is more fun than "saving the world" with a video game program that looks like spidey but is completely controled by script and see-through video game mechanics.
